This past week the ""Sweepstakes Department"" called and said that my mom's name had been pulled from the Alton Square contest which she entered and she'd won a $1,000 discount for home improvements to be done by Thomas Construction.\r

MY MOM DIED THREE YEARS AGO.\r

During that week I'd actually been calling local companies to give me estimates for some home improvement work. After Thomas' scam call, I wouldn't consider them even if they did the work for free.
