Best

The peppered shrimp with salad and chicken rice was really great. Very flavorful and the Captain's punch was very good too - not too sweet. One was enough!

First of all, instead of bread at the table, you get a cesar salad and mini blueberry muffins. I could eat those all day long! They are THAT good! Salad was awesome too. Our entre...

I brought my family and friends to dine at The Shirmp Factory. We enjoy all that is offered on the Riverfront. Right away, my children saw that the bathroom was nasty; I notified staff, who quickly addressed the matter. Once the salads came out, I witnessed a baby roach crawling from mine. The witress came over, apologized, and took salads from off the table,. Adding that if we left, she would totally understand. I had a party of 5 and we had 30 minutes to eat before reporting to a tour. This was Saturday night and every resturant was packed. Three folk in my party opt to stay and finish their meal, after carefully examining every bit and only eating a few bites; We all were very hungry from shopping all day. I did not eat, nor my child; however I did ask for another Margurita Special ($5). The manager came by to apologize, saying that this has never happen before and he would take care of it. I went to the bathroom, while waiting for my guest to finish. The bathroom was back to nasty, in fact another diner came in commenting about it. UGGGHHHH. I went to my table and the bill was on the table. The amount of $131. The managers ""I will take of it"" was to deduct the amount of my two marguritas, $10 worth. No salads and most the food was left on the table. I will never EVER dine here again. No customer service and unsanitary establishment. Be AWARE!. more

Constant attention 4/4/2011

We found this because it was near our hotel. Both the food and service were amazing ... constant attention from the waiter without hovering and mouthwatering food. I have paid a whole more for seafood that tasted horrible. This place was a great little surprise and we will definitely be back. more

THE BEST RESTAURANT in Savannah, GA 4/1/2011

The Shrimp Factory is a casual, friendly ""fine dining"" restaurant where you can Watch the Ships Go By from almost all of the tables. My personal favorites are the Pine Bark Stew, Deviled Crab with the Curry Chutney Sauce, Pecan Flounder and Stuffed Shrimp. I also LOVE the Caesar Style Salad which has the best Caesar Dressing I have ever tasted. The hot sour dough french bread with the cheddar spread is delicious. I love that I can buy a GLASS of Petite Sirah to enjoy with the salad and bread. There are quite a few really nice wines by the glass in fact. Also, the WHITE CHOCOLATE COCONUT CREAM PIE may be #1 IN THE WORLD! Coffee served tableside in a French Press is perfect. The Banana Foster Flambe, flamed tableside is great for a special occasion. The Shrimp Factory is THE BEST RESTAURANT in Savannah, GA. Their sister restaurant, The Riverhouse Seafood has THE BEST PASTRY CHEF in the city as welll. Try the Riverhouse, after you try The Shrimp Factory!!!! more

Again and again 4/1/2011

OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! 3/31/2011

My wife and I were gazing at the beautiful cobblestones on the lovely, historical River Street, when we cam across the Shrimp Factory Restaurant. The business has been there for over 30 years, so we decided to give it a try. The minute we walked in, I smelled something and delicious floating through the air. The hostess told me it was their ""famous"" bananas foster flambe. I knew we picked a great restaurant. As I glanced at the menu, I came across the ""Shrimp Peppered"", which I knew was the right choice for me. It sounded spicy, and delicious, my kind of food. My wife had their ""Shrimp and Grits"", a southern classic. They were both two outstanding choices, and we were so pleased when we got through eating them. We finished our meal with the Bananas Fosters. OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! The whole meal was remarkable, and the service was just as admirable. I will definitely be going back when we travel to Savannah again. more

We will be back for more 3/30/2011

My boyfriend & I walked around on the river front street a little & decided to try this restaurant after checking out the menu. There was a half hour wait, so we gladly sat at the bar to have a cocktail while waiting for our table. I had probably one of the best Bloody Mary's ever while waiting, fully garnished with a lime, olives & celery. After being seated, our waiter, Evan came over to take our order. Evan was very friendly & had us laughing. I ordered the Grouper Florentine & my boyfriend ordered the Mahi. We both loved our meals, mine was outstanding! We'll be back for more more

Best thing all vacation 3/29/2011

We were walking down the riverfront when the owner of this restaurant came outside, gave us a $5 off coupon and invited us in. We'd not actually thought of eating there but went in, had one of the most delicious salads of our month long vacation and would return in a heart beat. more

Everything was cooked to perfection 3/25/2011

We recently enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Shrimp Factory. I ordered the shrimp sandwich/okra gumbo/caesar salad combo, and my husband had the flounder lunch. Everything was cooked to perfection, although I have never liked iceberg lettuce in a caesar salad. The little mini blueberry muffins with honey bourbon butter were a nice touch. more

Highlight of our vacation 3/23/2011

Six of my friends and I traveled to Savannah last year, the trip and stay was fantastic. But all seven of us agreed that one of the highlights of our vacation was The Shrimp Factory's ""Bread Pudding"". I've never tasted a desert that great!!! It was so memorable that I don't remember eating anthing else and I'm quite sure that we did. It was so great that prior to departing Savannah we stopped and bought some for the ride home. I recommend anyone traveling to Savannah, make sure to try some. I wish they had a web site so that I could keep a supply on hand. more

Highly recommended! 3/17/2011

We were in Savannah for four days and we ate here twice! It felt like an upscale place but without the stuffy dress code. The staff was pleasant and our food was great (especially the Seafood Strudel and the Shrimp & Scallops with Tortellini). The complimentary blueberry muffins made a nice change from the french bread you get at most restaurants, and the Banana Bread Pudding was exquisite! Highly recommended! more

Out of this world! 3/10/2011

My wife and I were traveling to Augusta for the Masters Tournament. I told her of this restaurant that I had eaten at in 1989. I wanted to take her there and also to see if anything had changed. We got there around 5:30 pm and were seated right away. Our waiter was excellent. I told him of my previous visit and what I had while there. Well, the Pine Bark Stew was still on the menu and the famous Chatam Artillery Punch as well. My wife had a seafood dish that was out of this world. Yes, some things never change and I look forward to our next visit to the Factory. Thank you for the keeping nostalgia. more

We just ate lunch at The Shrimp Factory. The food was excellent as was the service. First we shared the shrimp and crab puffed pastry which was excellent. I brought my wife and two of our friends to The Shrimp Factory on April 29, 2009 for dinner and it was excellent. The service was very professional, the food was wonderful and the atmosphere was fantastic! I had the Shrimp Peppered and it was amazing!! Great service! 1/20/2011

Our server was friendly and very helpful from the time we walked into the restaurant. We have never had shrimp scampi cooked in a brown butter sauce! This dinner choice was the best my husband could have made. We would love the recipe. I had the fried shrimp, which were so lightly fried it did not take away from the wonderful flavor of the shimp. We both had dessert, and of course we started with the seafood bisque, which was filled with many different kinds of fish. This is a definite go back place. And right on the river! more

Good service 1/13/2011

Good service, the salad and muffins are wonderful and the shrimp and crab augratin is pretty darn good. We'd come back more

Reasonably priced with very good food 1/5/2011

The shrimp was very good as well as the service. The entrees were reasonably priced, better than the $$$$ rating given by Urbanspoon. Check it out if you visit Savannah. It's located on the riverfront. more
