The Shrimp Factory

We got to the shrimp factory for an early dinner 4 pm maybe getting there that early played a part in how incredible the food was so fresh and cooked perfectly. No wait for a table we will make this our must go to place in Savannah! We both got the fried shrimp :) more

The Pine Bark Stew is my favorite here. And the Shrimp Factory Salad is wonderful! Great location right on River Street! A must try! more

While on River Street, we stopped for early dinner at Shrimp House because they were featuring pecan crusted flounder at an earlybird price. Well, it was beyond our expectations......absolutely wonderful. Coming from the Texas Gulf Coast, we thought we had the best seafood. However, the pecan crusted founder at Shrimp House was THE BEST! And, their rosemary and sage bread is to die for! This place is a definite must when traveling to Savannah. more

I have eaten at the Shrimp Factory twice in the last 20 years and both times it was excellent!! The seafood is very tasty and the deserts are excellent. It is right on the waterfront by all the boats. Try it you won't be sorry. more

Wonderful, from the Bisque to the Salad to the Pecan Fish (special for the night) and the great server, even the drinks were great . My first choice if I am ever in Savannah again. more

Crab cakes were good. Try the Tableside Ceaser very good. Love the location when I visit Savannah this is where I go. more

It's interesting to read the reviews of the Shrimp Factory. ?I thought the food was pretty good. ?It was pricey, but I'm used to paying a little more for good seafood. ?I definitely wouldn't compare this place to Red Lobster, but Red Lobster's in Texas have not ever been up to my standards. We started with the tossed tableside salad, which was tossed at the table. ?Hence the name... ?That was cool, and I thought the salad was good. I ordered the shrimp stuffed savannah, which is eight fantail shrimp filled with deviled crab and baked. ?Served with lemon butter and chicken baked rice. ?The shrimp was good! Their signature cocktail is the Chatham artillery punch. ?Two people at our table ordered it. ?They commented that it was too sweet, but I think they enjoyed it overall. ?(Our waitress gave us cards that have the recipes.) ?Then once again we were all surprised when the waitress brought to go cups so that we could take our booze out on to the streets with us. ?I love Georgia!! more

While doing a solo pub crawl down River street, I decided to stop in after seeing their Happy Hour beer specials on a sign outside their door. ?I sat at the bar and was engaged by very nice and friendly bartenders, who even though they were slammed, never let it show it to their guests. ?After sampling something called Artillery Punch, I had to have one for myself. ?Yummy! ?Strong! ?I'll have another please! The food was pretty tasty as well. ?Me and a new friend shared a Seafood Strudel which was a delightful combination of shrimp, crab, spinach and cheese wrapped in a light flaky pastry. ?Mmm mmm good! ?I later had the BBQ shrimp which was probably some of the best BBQ shrimp I'd ever tasted. ?Very flavorful. more

We have been to the Shrimp Factory at least 20 times over the last few years and will eat there again in Dec. It is a wonderful place and the Bananas Foster is to die for. Well worth the price!!! more

While the wait to be seated was very short for a party of 8 and a baby, that was the best it got. we were seated, then told to wait to get our waters. then 2 waiters had a brief discussion right beside the table about who had to wait on us, cause both were busy. we finally got waters and 15 mins later got to order drinks add another 20 mins before we were allowed to order food. salads came in 15 mins and food came about 30 mins after the salads were finished. the meals came out together but one was made wrong and was remade quickly. the food was ok but nothing great, believe it or not the best thing was the kids chicken fingers and fish fingers. finally the table was cleared and were asked if we wanted dessert, this was when we got the most attention from the waiter, guess he thought we would leave with a good impression of our dinner. the menu stated gratuity would be included for parties of 12 and we again had 8, we went back in and asked the tip to be removed at which point we told the manager of our experience and started to walk out, the waiter chased us out the door to say thanks for waisting his time. class act that will not be given a chance to redeem itself. more

First of all, instead of bread at the table, you get a cesar salad and mini blueberry muffins. I could eat those all day long! They are THAT good! Salad was awesome too. Our entrees were a mixed bag, part good, part not so good. But I would give the Shrimp Facory a much higher rating were it not for the horrible service! We were left waiting over and over again. The hostess at the front kept saying ""be right with you"" and then disappearing for what seemed like 10 minutes at a time, our waiter was neglectful and we had to flag him down on several occations, and worst yet, the bathrooms were dirty and gross. Usually the care of the bathrooms are a good sign of how restaurants keep things managed as a whole. Overall, the food was good, but the rest of the place seemed in complete disorder. Pros: Amazing blueberry mini muffins! Cons: Horrible service. slow and neglectful more

We visited the Shrimp Factory while in Savannah. We went late one night after a pub crawl. The food was good. It was a bit pricey but worth it. We were interested in the punch but didn't try it. more

If you want THE BEST cocktail on River Street go to the Shrimp Factory and order a Chattham County Artillery Punch, and you'll be all set for the night! I highly recommend the pot of stew that comes in a small crock that you eat out of to go along with it! Awesome restaurant! more

The riverfront location is fun and the food is great. The prices are high - reflecting the touristy River Street location. It's a great place for dessert and coffee, too - try the bananas foster. more

The Shrimp Factory has been a favorite of ours for years . When visiting the River Street area , we have enjoyed many delicious seafood meals here. Also , our service has been consistently good. Enjoy a River Street classic ! more

My husband and I randomly choose to dine at the Shrimp House while vacationing in Savannah. What luck! The service, atmosphere and food could not have been better. The shrimp was delicious as well as everything else. Highly recommended. Pros: Excellent Food, Atmosphere and Value. more
