Best

This place is amazing you just have to remember to save room for dessert!

Must be the motto, because I received a large portion of Chef Boyardee grade pasta with Franco-American sauce. There are so many better Italian restaurants in town, I don't know ...

love the setting 7/28/2010

I love the furniture, I feel like I walk into a castle or something in this place. I sat in I think it was a train when I cam here with a few friends. It was my first time so I really didn't know what to order. So many kinds of spaghetti I think i might of got the wrong one because it didn't taste so good. Over all, would try somethign else and love ever lcation and setting they have. Pros: Furniture Cons: Many diff. kinds of spaghetti more

Used to be great, now lacking 7/12/2009

I loved this place a couple years ago and recommended it to everyone I knew. Great food, amazing prices (I think only one entree is over 8.00), a sophisticated, yet laid-back atmosphere (the kind of place where it is fine to show up in a t-shirt and jeans, but if you dress up you wont feel out of place either), and reliable service made this one of my favorite restaurants. Went in just recently, after not going for almost a year, however, and was disappointed. Service was fine, with the exception of the fact that I had two waiters seemingly fighting over me (not necessarily a bad thing, mind you ;-)). But my meal was kinda crappy, and the bread, which used to be served hot and crispy, was cold and mushy. I dunno if they're under new management or what, but it just seems like quality has gone out the window. Pros: great prices, decent food, phenomenal atmosphere Cons: hit-or-miss service, recent lack in quality more

Toothache and an Aftertaste of Gasoline. 2/28/2009

My girlfriend and I went to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner tonight, Feb.28 2009. This was my first time and she had been there last year and said it was great. It is a beautiful restaurant and made me feel at home. We started with salads, which were great, and munched on their delicious bread while waiting for our entrees. I got the Number 1 Premiere, which is Chicken Mas-something and [The Famous] Lasagna. Pros: Beautiful restaurant and building. Cons: Below average food. more

worst service i have ever had in my life...and I was a waitress myself for 6 years 5/8/2008

As a former waitress myself, I give alot of slack and tip well, but this was exceptionally horrible service. Our appetizers arrived before our drinks. when the drinks came, he actually said, ""i forget which ones are regular coke and which are diet. Do you want me to bring new drinks, or can you just guess yourselves."" We thought it was a joke. It had been 30 minutes since our appetizers arrived, and I asked him if our food was ready. His reply, ""Yeah. I saw it sitting in the window before I came out here."" I actually had to ask him to bring it out. As he brings the food, he dropped food in my drink, and actually asked if I minded drinking it or if he should get another one for me. Then, as we are eating, he says, ""You guys ordered garlic bread appetizers, so I didn't bring the bread that comes with your meal. You didn't want that, did you?"" I didn't even know how to respond to this waiter any more. We said, ""yes, actually, we do want it"". Before all of this started, we told him we had a show at 730pm, and would have to leave early. He dropped off the check at 715pm after much asking, and I had to again ask for the ice cream, that was included in the price of our meals. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER go to that restaurant again, and I will tell this story to anyone that will listen. as far as the food itself, decent, if you ever get it. Pros: service too poor to notice any Cons: service not worth it more

Great before the Game 12/15/2007

Friendly staff, and cheap eats in the warehouse district. We like to frequent this place before a Viks or Gophers game! more

Try it once if you have to, then forget it 10/18/2006

Kitschy is definitely the word. Before going, whatever I heard of this place was that it was a dressy, fancy place. I found it to be packed with suburban first daters thinking they were someplace special. I don't really care fo the ordering - a salad, entree and dessert is all included. It seems really budget-minded, not quality-minded. Then again, this IS a chain. The pasta was bland, safe half-attempts at food that COULD be good, but was only hoh-hum. The interior is fun, that's probably what all the teenaged girls liked about it. Pros: budget-minded Cons: boring food more

lots of food, great price 6/13/2006

Get a pop, bread, salad or minnestrone soup, your entree, and a dish of ice cream (with carmel or chocolate sauce) all for approx. $15 including a tip. Has great food and even more amazing bread, and if its busy just chow down on bread till your food comes!!! the waiters will bring you as much as you like. If you dont want to drive downtown and worry about parking you can take the lightrail. It may be slow and crowded but all good restraunts can get that way. Its great for any occaison. Pros: great price, great food, amazing bread Cons: ABSOLUTY NOTHING more

Bad before Valentines? 2/20/2006

My girlfriend and I had dinner here the Monday before Valentine's Day. It was our anniversary, and we were hoping to have a romantic night out just the two of us. We were promptly seated, and then waited for 15 minutes for a server. The service was horrible, and I don't think I will ever return. Overall, our meal took about 2 hours, and that was mostly waiting with empty drinks and plates. There were not enough servers, and the food was very bland. Pros: cool building Cons: Service, Parking, Bland food more

Nothing to write home to Mom about... 12/27/2005

I recently dined at the good ol' spaghetti factory. I didn't hate it, just wasn't impressed. Both my dish and my husbands seriously lacked meat. Overall, I would rank this restaurant at about the same caliber as the Olive Garden- decent prices, NOT cheap, just decent, and mediocre food. On the plus side, the interior is kinda cute. Although I feels a bit ""warehousey"" Pros: ? Cons: average food, average prices, average place more

awsome 12/15/2005

if the bread was the only thing they served there id still go it is sooo good, the service was good, and the food even beter, Pros: bread, food, serivce Cons: not enuf bread more

Castle like Decor 10/2/2005

Great furniture and decor. Layout is fantasic with many room and large windows. Value is suberb. Most meals under $10, and that includes warm bread, a salad or soup, and dessert (a small dish of vanilla ice cream or spumoni). Food is decent. Parking lots all around Pros: Decor, Homemade Dishes Cons: pay for parking more

classic big (tasty) meal for small price 3/24/2005

only complaint is that we were seated near a GROUP OF 14 and our waitress had to serve them, and us, AND 2 other tables. Service was SLOOOOOOWWWWWWW! Food is what it claims to be, honest food for a great price. Pros: good food, GREAT price, family friendly Cons: Can be slow, place is packed more

WOW 5/31/2004

This is the best spaghetti I've ever had, and I'm a boy who loves his spaghetti. Yeah, there's not much else on the menu, but what do you expect from someplace called the Old SPAGHETTI Factory? Parking sucks and sometimes there's quite a long wait, but the prices are awesome for all the food you get. Pros: GREAT spaghetti, Low prices, Free bread salad, etc Cons: , Long waits more

Not what I expected... 1/20/2004

I know a lot of people who really like the Old Spaghetti Factory. I however, was not overly impressed. I found the menu to be very small and the Lasagne that I decided on was very light in the meat department (and the portion didn't leave me full). The stuffed spinach ravioli my wife ordered was good, but the order was tiny. Bread was great (but bread should be great) and salad was fine. Service and ambiance were so-so. I doubt I'll be back. Pros: No Wait, Fast service Cons: Overpriced, Parking more

Quantity, not quality 1/24/2003

Must be the motto, because I received a large portion of Chef Boyardee grade pasta with Franco-American sauce. There are so many better Italian restaurants in town, I don't know why the Spaghetti Factory gets talked up so much. more

wonderful 1/2/2003

This inexpensive restaurant is provide a wonderful atmosphere and lots of food for the price. The service is very accomadating to large groups. One of our favorite places to dine. Pros: value, good for groups Cons: sometimes long wait more

Great Food Great Place 11/30/2002

The food was good and you got a lot for your dollar. A large group can dine here without breakin the budget more

The restaurant for all occasions! 11/19/2002

When it comes to sevice, this place is everything you could want for an inexpensive, but yet classy dining experience. The whole family can go, or you can have dinner for two and a bottle of wine. My experience was everything that I would have hoped for. I would definitely tell others to enjoy this for a casual yet much more than fast-food experience. The trolly inside tops it all off when dining with the family. Pros: beautiful building, great location, inexpensive Cons: Crouded at times more

Something DIFFERENT! 10/26/2002

Great restaraunt--fun atmosphere, good food, cheap prices, and very nice employees! TRY IT! more
