I would like to say maywood vet is the best. I have been going to Dr. Mulry since i could remember and she is great! I am a animal lover to the max(cats,dogs,mice,rats and birds...

They will try to upsell you at every turn. They add treatments and services not requested just to hike up your bill!

Terrible facility 7/9/2015

It is hard to write this review as I am so disturbed by the treatment at this clinic. As an animal lover and a longtime pet owner, I am truly in disbelief from the service at Maywood.\r \r Two of our family dogs have been to Maywood for some time. The front desk staff has been moody, nasty, and short with us on the phone numerous times. They make recommendations and then once you follow through with the suggestions, they do not stand by them nor answer questions. Most importantly, even when dealing with a serious health situation, the vets will not get on the phone to talk with the pet owner. As a human being who has spoke with doctors at the top hospitals, I find it abominable that a vet will not pick up a phone. I have had bad experiences with two male doctors at Maywood and I refuse to ever bring a pet to them again. They do not care about the animals when it comes down to it. VERY disappointed in their care. I will never recommend this facility. more

not recommended 3/1/2012

I would not recommend this clinic. On my 2nd visit there I was more than disappointed in Dr Krausman and the advice & treatment received. First issue was that my dog was due for 3 shots and AFTER administering all 3 of them, she said that I should probably think about staggering them next time. Second issue is that not only did I get a whole sales pitch from the tech about numerous additional vaccines I should consider, I also got the pitch from the doctor, and then again at checkout. Third issue is that my dog came down with a serious allergic reaction and I had to rush her back for an antidote. After researching many articles I'm strongly convinced that this was due to the Lepto vaccine alone, or the combination of vaccines she received. After my research revealed information about the Lepto vaccine that extremely upsetting, I know that I would never have allowed my 7 lb chihuahua to get it because first of all it was totally unnecessary, and secondly all of the info I got concl more

Amazing Hospital!! 5/17/2011

I have been going to the Maywood Vet for years, even before it recently moved to it's new location. I must say the new location is gorgeous!! The doctors are by far the BEST doctors i have seen in a very long time. Dr. Mulry and Dr. B are my favorite, they really know their stuff! The staff is recently all NEW and they are some of the NICEST people you will ever meet! There was a time when the staff was not so nice, but with the new staff they have I haven't had any problems and everyone is SOO nice and friendly! I reccomend them to eveyryone looking for a vet. If you want quality care for your loved one this is the place! It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for... simply the best service yet! You will NOT be dissapointed! more

I love maywood vet 3/12/2011

I would like to say maywood vet is the best. I have been going to Dr. Mulry since i could remember and she is great! I am a animal lover to the max(cats,dogs,mice,rats and birds) and they have always treated my animals like they were their own. My mouse had cancer and Dr. Mulry and staff were just so helpful and when it came time to put Mr Mousy man down they just helped me and told me what they were going to do. I always saw Lucy(Dr, Mulrys dog) and she always put a smile on my face. Now in their new office they have a rescue in the waiting room. They are the most considerate people and so helpful. So thanks to the maywood vet all my animals are in great health more

Rude and incompetent 7/21/2010

My family dog was put to sleep at the age of 15 in February. To save me from the anquish my father took him to Maywood Vet while I was work, rather than to our chosen vet. I was devestated to hear the news when I returned home and called Maywood Vet to ask about the cremation services selected for my dog. They informed me that public cremation (no remains come back) was selected and I asked if I could have that changed to private and pay with a credit card. They were happy to accomodate that request and quickly charged me 200.00 dollars. I left my cell phone number to be contacted when the remains came back and hung up the phone. I NEVER received a phone call informing me my dog's remains had returned. Months later, when I finnaly felt emotionally secure enough I returned to the office to pick up those remains to be informed (after 10 minutes of waiting around in thier chaotic waiting room IGNORED by thier rude reception staff) that "they were very sorry" but no one ever made th more

Awesome 5/3/2010

I think there are two types of people who leave negative comments about this place. The first ones, just have personal grudges or nothing better to do but complain about the staff. The other ones are shocked when the clinic wants payments for their services like veterinary care is supposed to be free or something. Stop crying take your pet in then pay your bill then leave this place is awesome. I highly doubt that a staff member would say a pets name is dumb right to the owners face. Maybe the staff seems bitchy cause they deal with stupid people all day long. more

I had an appointment with Dr, Mulry. It is by far the best veterinary experience that I have ever had. The staff was friendly, the clinic clean and Dr. Mulry was not only right on the money, she was very professional. She makes going to the Vet fun I know my dog is in great hands thank you more

Wonderful vets, knowledgeable and caring! 4/9/2010

My husband and I have been taking our cats and also our daughters' cats --- making a total of nine --- to Dr. Buchholz at the Maywood Veterinary Clinic for the past six years, and we're delighted with him! We've also had occasion to see Dr. Krausman and Dr. Mulry, and were perfectly happy with both of them, too. I totally agree with the review which states, "The doctors are very knowledgeable and warm, spend time talking with you to address concerns and issues. If they need extra help with something, they refer you to a specialist. They also follow up with calls to see how your pet is doing when it has a serious problem." more

Staff is rude and unproffesional 3/17/2010

The Maywood Veterinary Clinic has a beautiful new hospital and the doctors at this clinic are decent however, the staff is terrible. It is comprised of mostly young girls under the age of 25 that are very nasty. It is overstaffed and with way too many women in one place, there is way too much estrogen in this clinic. The girls at the desk and techs in the back are some of the rudest people I have ever met. Many people who I have spoken to agree with me. \r \r The doctor should really consider what people are saying about his unhelpful, uncompassionate, rude, immature and horrible staff. After all a staff can make or break you in this business. I certainly will not go back to this hospital and hope anyone who reads this does not go either. \r \r This hospital has lost all personal touch when it moved to a bigger building and unfortunately added more nasty girls to work in their staff. Maywood Veterinary Clinic goes above and beyond! 9/21/2009

This place is great. We had a fire at our home, they took our cats & cared for them. They went above and beyond what most places would do. They were so understanding and helpful! We knew our cats were happy and safe until we could get them and ourselves into a home. more

Best Around! 7/27/2009

Anyone who gives the Maywood vet a negative review is clueless. This place is great and Dr. Mulry is phenomenal. They are great with my dogs to the point that they actually look forward to going. They practically brought one of my boxers back from the dead as a puppy. It is clean, the staff is great and the doctors are terrific. I highly recommend the Maywood Vet to anyone. more

Caring and kind 4/14/2009

We have recently started using Maywood clinic for our 3 cats, one with diabetes. The doctors are very knowledgeable and warm, spend time talking with you to address concerns and issues. If they need extra help with something, they refer you to a specialist. They also follow up with calls to see how your pet is doing when it has a serious problem. I would recommend this animal hospital for its friendly staff and kind vets. I like the casual atmosphere. more

All of you that left negative comments need your HEADS examined more than your pets need care. My pets have been patients of Dr. Jay et al for mega years...and, by far, are the BEST New Jersey has...I have recommended Maywood Vet to numerous friends and family members and their compliments are still pouring in. The staff (Arlene is extraordinary) are always there to accommodate you be it appointments or any questions you may have...and are always able to "squeeze" you in....My pets have received the ultimate in care and compassion...we humans should be as fortunate with our own doctors...\r At Maywood Vet you are treated as a family member; not a number! so you had to wait..to me, that means they are in demand...certainly beats walking into an office where their are no patients!!! you'll wait on line at a mall or restaurant...I think our pets deserve the best and they will get that, and more, at Maywood...\r Marie P, Lodi, NJ April 6, 2009 more

I just read the reviews and cannot believe it is the same place I visited yesterday.It was lovely, clean, the Techs were kind & helpful and Stephen was sweeping the street when I approached with my cat in a carrier. She was heavy & he came right over & took the carrier & carried her in & out again when I left. It was my second visit there, I had Dr.Faith& Dr Mulrony & they were lovely to my pet.You could tell they really are skilled professionals who genuinely like animals.They may not be the cheapest place to go, but I felt the money was well spent and they are my pet's Doctors from now on.BTW, I am an RN who recognizes good care and a clean clinic when I see it. more

Staff is horrible 8/14/2008

I don't know about the doctors, or any of their veterinary skills, however, I do know one thing, and their staff is very clueless about the procedures and very rude.\r \r I called them to make an appointment, asked them how much it costs for my dog to get a Rabies shot. They told me they do not know. (Then who knows?)\r \r So then I just attempted to make an appointment with them for the next available time, which was Thursday 11:30AM. Then, they tell me, see you tomorrow. I'm like, you mean Thursday? They are like, yes, Thursday.\r \r Before making this appointment, the staff sounded so stupid and asked me repetitive questions that I just wanted to hang up the phone and call a different veterinary center, but I was just patient with their stupidity, and just went ahead to make an appointment.\r \r I go into their center with my dog, no one greets. They just tell me to sit down. Now, this appointment was for 11:30AM and I had my job interview at 2:00PM. Therefore, I wanted this process to be a more

Maywood's Best Vet 8/26/2007

My family has used the Maywood Veterinary Clinic for more than 30 years. Dr. Bucholz has, on more than one occasion, saved the life of three of our dogs. I can't say enough about the professionalism and compassion this man has for animals. When our two dogs needed to be put down, he told us the truth, even if it wasn't what we wanted to hear. Sometimes I think it hurt him as much as it hurt us. If you want a Vet and Clinic that cares, then the Maywood Veterinary Clinic is the place to go. more

Maywood Vet 6/20/2007

When my 16 year old cat had to be put down, ALL of the doctors (Bucholz, Mulry and K) were so helpful and kind to our family. Anyone who wants state of the art technology should go to Oradell. If you want small-town, caring service, then Maywood Vet is certainly adequate. more

Wonderful Vet Clinic - Great Doctors 12/26/2006

Part of the charm of the Maywood Vet Clinic is that they have a few "residents" that welcome you and your pet. My family has been bringing our pets to Dr. Buchholz and staff for the last 20+ years. We can't say enough good things about them. more
