VERY Unhappy 12/26/2008

I loved the customer servie adn the salon itself. I have been searching for new stylist for about a year now , so that I do not have to drive over 17 to the one I have had for years. I researched hair stylists locally, thoroughly and came to the stylist I chose at Salon Cruz, Hope. I guess she is good with curly hair and I have straight thik hair that needs precise hair cutting with detail and even -ness??? I came in for a consultation weeks ahead and then re-described when I came in. Instead of the result and style I went to great lengths to describe I have the worst haircut on my entire life and paid the most I have ever. I asked for something precise and got anything but that. There are layers all over that are not even and the lengthy part of my hair is in strings and not even as well . One side is totally different than the other. I cannot let this just go straight - which was a big request because of my lifestyle, which I went over explicitly. It is many different colors, the base is light strawberry blonde instead of medium brown, as we discussed and no darker low lights as I asked pulled thru. Then on top of it I was charge 185.00 ""at a discount?"" for this mess and thus paid over $200.00 of my money that I am really watching carefully right now for a disastrous style - not an easy beach style that I can wear straight. This is more like a curly cut that an be hidden in a curly haired person. My hair is always a beautiful thick and straight style. Now it looks like ---- HORRIBLE. I feel that I was cheated of what I went to great lengths to describe and explain and walked out of there in the blur , like many do when they kind of like the stylist and then get home and ---- what a MESS. My money is gone and I am looking at a year at least of growth to get to what I could have easily have had, since I waited a grew my hair out to achieve what I wanted. Pros: Great staff and customerr service. Lovely atmosphere Cons: Poor commniation and below average outcome - too expensive for what I got. more

Very nice, good service if I can get the stylist for what I need. 9/8/2008

I went there just to check it out, while waiting for my daughter theater class to end. I had just arrived in Santa Cruz, less than a month before. And desperately needed a stylist. They gave me the free consultation for what I was interested in and with the person that dealt with my type of hair (which is very VERY curly, almost ethnic), Ashley. That day I made an appointment to change my look for my 27th B-Day. Pros: The products they use are fantastic for my hair, their service and my preferred stylist is great with my hair. Good value. Cons: Your stylist may not be working on the day you need her. Everyone is a specialist in their area and not great at the other areas. more

Glen at Le Salon Cruz Rocks!!! 2/20/2008

Do you want to feel like a million bucks? Go and see Glen at La Salon Cruz. Not only is he personable and articulate, he KNOWS his stuff! He gave me a great color touch up that looks perfect ( it takes skill to match someone else's work and Glen did) . He also gave me great trim and showed me how to style my hair differently. We had a great conversation about a plethora of things. I have had my hair done all over the country ( L.A., Santa Barbara, and S.F.) and Glen rocks!!!!!. I was vacationing in Aptos for the week , I live 2 hours away and I will make the drive to let Glen work his magic again. Le Salon Cruz is LUCKY to have him on staff. What an asset. Great customer service. 11/25/2007

I am so excited...I have found a salon with everything a girl could want. Not Only did I get a fantastic hair cut, But I found a wax-er for Life!! Getting waxed can be pretty Tough. Friendly, fast, efficient, and comfortable was what I got @ Le Salon. I highly recommend. more

Avoid, please. 11/17/2007

""She just left,"" they said ""and no one else is available."" She couldn't even wait 15 minutes for a client? I was so speechless I just walked back out the door. If you might be late getting to Le Salon Cruz, please do not book an appointment here. In my opinion, this was a really tacky move and I will never go back. Pros: Nice interior design. Hands Down th Best Salon in Santa Cruz 3/7/2007

I love this Salon - they are wonderful - so professional and courteous. I have had a few things done at this Salon and the experience has always been great! I highly recommend this Salon to anyone who is looking to replace their current Salon. Their space is wonderful and they have the most professional staff in Santa Cruz! A+ all the way! I had never been to this salon before, and have only had bad experiences at other salons in Santa Cruz. I was hesitant but my friends recommended Le Salon Cruz so highly, and I am so happy I went. I went in for a haircut and got the best cut I've ever had, my stylist was amazing and I totally trusted her! The environment was so warm and friendly, the entire staff was welcoming and so helpful. I found out when I went in that they don't just do hair cuts but they also have facials, maicures, pedicures, waxing...everything! I am so glad I found a great, full-service salon in Santa Cruz. Pros: Friendly, knowledgable, skilled stylists. Cons: None. more

Awesome experience! 7/8/2005

I have been a customer of Le Salon Cruz since it opened. The atomosphere is beautiful, soothing, professional, stylish and fun. I feel like a valued person when I go there. My stylist takes time to look at what would look best on ME. The wonderful young woman doing my pedicures and manicures gives me a spa treatment and spa feeling every time I come in. I do not have to drive over HWY 17 any longer 7/2/2005

I have always driven over Hwy 17 to get to a salon in Saratoga that I have gone to for 4 years. I never felt that Santa Cruz had a salon that could compete with my Saratoga Salon. Well, I was wrong. In a pinch I needed to have my hair done, and a good freind recommended Le Salon Cruz. I am now a loyal customer! Thank You David, Bobbie and the entire Staff. Best Salon in Santa Cruz! 3/1/2005

This salon is amazing. There is nothing like it in Santa Cruz. Beautiful, elegant, quiet. The staff is excellent, very skilled and gave me a whole new look which has gotten me compliments galore and new business! My new hair color is a custom blend of four colors which the stylist mixes to perfection to match my skin tone and overall look. I LOVE my new haircut and get compliments on it all the time.
