This place has always been a favorite! The service is like nothing you find on pearl street or anywhere else in Boulder. Unrivaled wine list and delicious menu! The duck rendered ...

Just ate at the Greenbriar, it was pretty disapointing. The service was very good but the food wasn't anything special. Out of 6 dishes, only 2 of them were really

Really great experience! Our server was terrific -- knowledgeable, attentive and super considerate of our three-yr-old. Great drinks, really nice food and the patio is so lovely. more

Outstanding. The food was superb, as was the wine. We appreciated the knowledgable, attentive, discrete, professional, and friendly service. The location and ambiance are simply lovely - relaxing and upscale without being pretentious. Oh - and that was one of the best cheese plates we've had & the waiter's wine recommendation was great. more

Dave our server was amazing and attentive. Phil was very cordial, it says a lot when the owner takes the time to greet patrons. Thank you for making my husbands birthday special. more

We were warmly greeted on what was perhaps their busiest day of the year. The place was buzzing and exceptionally busy. Yet the staff were calm, attentive and very pleasant. Though they were super busy, they still had the time to anticipate needs and you never had to ask for something as they were always one step ahead. The manager (owner?) made time to ask about our experience. All in all, it was the perfect place for Mother's Day Brunc, and I cannot wait to go back for dinner or lunch in the beautiful garden. They deserve the success they have. I noticed they have their own vegetable garden. Far, far, superior in every aspect to the Black Cat, which is way overrated. more

Having been in the high end restaurant business for many years, I can say with confidence that everyone involved at this restaurant is passionate about creating a welcoming experience. The staff are not only pleasant and professional but warm and welcoming and the food is well prepared. The grounds are beautiful, it is a real gem. Well worth the trip just 5 minutes from Boulder. more

Food at the The Greenbriar Inn is always prepared to perfection. Members of the staff are always friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. It is by far my favorite restaurant in the Boulder area. I highly recommend it.\r more

I've eaten here a few times. The large brunches, well, that much food, prepared en mass, served in a waiting line.....it's not what I look for and it's really, really hard to do perfectly.\r \r Dinner, on the other hand, can be an intimate evening with quality and wine. Our last visit was memorable, every course was delicate, intricate, well-executed. One plate could have had a bit more for the price (a shellfish dish), but aside from that one minor point, portions were spot-on and I was well satisfied.\r \r Service was superb and the wine list is extensive (though I think they may be trying to trim that a bit). All in all, I think this is a great spot for a quiet evening in a quiet, out-of-the-way area. more

First time visit based on Open Table notes, and was not disappointed in any manner. We had a large party and the service was fantastic, and the food, while somewhat gourmet leaning, was all very good. The steaks and beef wellington were wonderful, and properly cooked and presented. And the Ceasar salad was worth the trip alone. more

My daughter had her wedding reception at the Greenbriar Inn. It was a magical setting in many ways. The intimate backyard setting was perfect for setting up chairs and walking down a short isle. The front garden area was the site for drinks and quiet talk after the ceremony. The area was comfortable and intimate for the 100 guests.\r \r Dinner was excellent! Three meal choices were Chicken with asparagus, Salmon and Short Ribs. It was a couple of weeks ago, so I don't remember the food details, but the dishes were served promptly and the food was delectable.\r \r A band set up on a porch area with doors to the outside. The ability to dance and then enjoy the evening was very nice.\r \r The staff were attentive and courteous. I can unhesitatingly recommend this venue for a wedding. more

Exquisite food, great service, comfortable atmosphere. I've been here many times and it has never disappointed. This is a true ""brunch"", with bacon, omelets to order, eggs benedict, bagels with salmon, and juicy prime rib, roast leg of lamb, oysters on the half shell, vegetables...well you can read the menu on-line. All I can say is that everything is delicious.\r \r Oh, and the desserts and baked goods are all made in-house. Don't miss the creme brullee! The coffee is hot and strong; the service is attentive; the atmosphere is rustic. Even though there are table linens and real silver, there's nothing stiff or formal about the Greenbriar--this *is* Boulder, after all. You can pretty much wear anything, as long as you're wearing something:)\r \r The Greenbriar is also a great place to go for dinner on that special occasion, but I'm rather addicted to the brunch. It is a bit on the pricey side--$28.00, but well worth it for what you get. You can pay less elsewhere if you want bland, steam-table fare.\r \r The Greenbriar is out in the country, between Boulder and Lyons, and definitely worth the drive from just about anywhere. I have friends who come up from Denver just for the brunch--it's that good. In summer they have outdoor seating as well. more

I cannot say enough great things about this venue! The planner was great, the food was amazing, the scenery was beautiful, the owners were friendly, the price was right, every single person on staff knew the answer to every question! They were incredible, knowledgable, and made my wedding easy, beautiful and fun! I had a blast! more

This is a ""special occasion"" restaurant in a beautiful location and it's been around forever. Often, restaurants like this rest on their laurels, serving the kind of mediocre to bad food you'd expect at a convention banquet at the Sheraton. Not the Greenbriar. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the very fresh oyster appetizer to the salmon to the steak to the cheese plate we ate for desert. The service was exquisite too. We will definitely return! more
