The Edge Remodeling

Just... terrible. They are hiring day laborers who don't know how to do what they're hired to do, take shortcuts, and then ask why you write bad reviews online and want you to take them down. We had the duct seal and attic insulation package done, and thank GOD for the oversight of FSL who discovered a shoddy job far short of expectation, and required them to fix them or face removal from the program and/or legal action. We also had a new pool pump and filter installed. We just discovered this weekend that during our pool equipment install, the day laborers they hired who couldn't speak English cut our sprinkler system pipe so that the new pool filter/pump pipes would fit. So when we decide to re-plant the lawn and start using the once-working system, SUPRISE! Pipes are cut! Not to mention that the pump/filter haven't worked properly since day 1, but what are we going to do 2 years later? :( more

I'd used The Edge Remodeling before for pool repairs, but they did something in my backyard I'd never seen before. They made a tabletop fire pit with a tile top, and the construction was very strong, made out of blocks. They also did a 12 foot barbecue island, fridge and built in grill. Again, the grill was made of blocks and covered with a granite top. They showed up when they said they were going to show up, and they kept me informed of what was going on. They do awesome work! more

I used The Edge Remodeling for the first time to remodel our barbecue grill, and I thought they did a really good job. One of things I really appreciated was that Randy, the contractor we worked with, was very prompt and responsive to my concerns. When we had an issue with the granite after the job was complete, Randy jumped right on it to get it corrected. He came back, fixed it and listened to my concerns. They really did a great job! more

Unprofessional, lack of communication, and can't do anything right the first time. We went with this company because we thought Randy Appel knew what he was doing, but we were wrong. He took our deposit and we didnt see any work done for almost two and a half weeks later. They left concrete residue on the walls, and sank the plastic in the cement-all of which we were left to pull out on our own. Also, they came without their circular saw to cut holes in our drywall, saying they ""forgot"" it. There were total of 13 areas where the drywall didnt reach counter tops, ceilings, and the can light holes, and several outlets- all needed to be done over about four times. The tile also was never sealed, and had 17 areas where there were gaps and chips. They had to redo a fourth of the floor because they did not follow our original laid out tiles, which put us back even more on our deadline. We asked for a junction box, and the guy drywalled over two wires in the ceiling, so that had to be redone. And they drywalled a wire OVER a wall beam, where it puffed out, and when I showed them they acted like I was crazy. That too had to be redone. I got upset about all of the re-dos and told them so. They told me to ""go home and have a cerveza"". I told the manager Chris about this issue and he told me that ""maybe I needed one"". Very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. And when Mike the owner (whom I have never met nor spoke to) saw one of my reviews, he tried to get it changed from the review's website, without ONCE contacting me to find out what the problem was. Really? That's some nerve! Stay away! Remodeling is hassle enough - without Edge Remodeling. more

I love what Edge Remodeling did for our yard. We wanted to put in artificial grass but didn't want it to look boring. They worked with us and came up with a very creative design and added tress. They understood the whole mountain feeling we were going for and took into account how I live in the space. They were extremely pleasant and nice people. They even liked our dog! The whole family enjoyed the experience. more

I wanted to remodel my bathroom so I was really glad that The Edge had the professionals capable of doing the job to my exact specifications. more

I called The Edge to build a gazebo and a fountain among other things. They did take longer than I anticipated but they did come back and re-do one item that I was not happy with. So overall I would say they did a fair job. more

I used The Edge Remodeling to remodel my bathroom, which was a pretty large project. I found them online, and at first, I looked at some other companies in order to compare. I decided to give The Edge Remodeling a chance based on some of the feedback listed on their website. The best part about working with them as my main contractor was that they were always available. I had a lot of questions, especially since this was such a big project. They always called me back with answers, and the service throughout everything was outstanding. As far as the work goes, all of the electricians, tile installers, plumbers, general workers, drywall people, etc. far exceeded my expectations. I have had other groups of workers come into my home who didn't do such a great job. The guys of The Edge Remodeling, however, were wonderful people to work with. They would come out on weekends or whenever it was necessary to work. The quality of their work was absolutely outstanding, as well. The time management of The Edge Remodeling was excellent. The only delays I experienced with this project were based on other factors, like me having to order parts separately. The workers, however, always worked hard to get the job done. I would recommend The Edge Remodeling for anybody and anything, even if it's for a large remodeling project. I would absolutely use them again for any project. more

I had an overall excellent experience with The Edge Remodeling & Pools. They did quality work for me and did it fast. They did some landscaping work in my front yard, putting in pavers, some artificial grass and masonry and stucco on a wall. They had excellent customer service. I would highly recommend them. They are professional and reliable, and they have good prices. The quality of their work is great! They went above and beyond what I asked for. more

The Edge Remodeling & Pools did a remodel of my primary residence. We're very happy with it. They did a bathroom remodel, they painted and did drywall, and they did some flooring. They also did some electrical and plumbing work. They did an awesome job. They were all very professional and knew what they were doing. I had worked with them before and I know I can trust them. I would definitely recommend them. I'm a Realtor and I have referred several of my clients to them. Everybody's been happy with them. more

We did the kitchen and two bathrooms with The Edge Remodeling & Pools. Everyone who was in our home was polite and worked very hard. They all did a nice, thorough job. Things were done in a timely manner. The project manager was really great, too! If there were times when I needed to go out or something, he got back to me right away with some answer and explanation as to how the changes would be accommodated and made up for in the next appointment. When you do a remodel of anything, you have to have a sense of humor and just be a little bit more willing to accept when things don't go exactly as planned. And yet, as a customer, you do expect someone to tell you what's going on. The Edge delivered on this. Our manager was actually injured during the job when his back went out. Still, the project didn't miss a beat! By phone, he was still able to contact the people who were supposed to be here. His bosses even came by to check on the job when he couldn't. I really, really liked that. When they were trying to install a shower door for us, they only had one guy available to work. So, one of the owners actually came out to help put it in! No one from The Edge was afraid to make sure that things got done. I've heard a lot of horror stories from people about contractors. With this company, though, it was like they were doing the work for a family member! We love our kitchen, we love our bathrooms, and we love recommending The Edge to friends. I felt they were WONDERFUL. Everything turned out nicely, at a very reasonable price. What they quoted was basically what it turned out to be in the end. Everything that was going to end up costing a little more was first sent to me as a change order, which I then approved. I knew about any cost changes all along. Absolutely incredible, The Edge Remodeling & Pools!! more

The Edge Remodeling & Pools did a couple of different things that made them great. For one, the communication was always there. They were also good with timeline expectations. I did an extension of my patio, a pool remodel, and basically a full remodel of the backyard, so Edge did a lot for me. They're a great company! more
