I been getting the lower half of my body waxed for 20 years. Because of Emily's superlative reviews, and convenient San Rafael location, I gave her a try. Since then, I have never returned to my former San Francisco salon. The Beauty Nook is a "no attitude" and friendly salon, quite refreshing here in Marin. I have never experienced such a painless and efficient waxing. Emily and her products rock! more

Awesome Facial 5/24/2013

My facial with Emily was wonderful. I loved how my skin felt and looked after the facial, and the hour of lying on Emily's table being taken care of was luxurious. It was definitely an experience that was more than skin deep and I got up off the table feeling relaxed, refreshed and renewed. The Beauty Nook is a treasure and so is Emily. more

I was very impressed by how natural it looked, and loved having that sun kissed glow! Chiara makes you feel so comfortable and welcomed. I wouldn't go anywhere else! more

recently had a facial at the beauty nook before my wedding, amazing my face felt so soft and smooth, the wedding day makeup went on perfect, my skin looked and felt fantastic. i had the facial 2 days before the wedding and no redness!!! great!!! more

Awesome place to get a Spray Tan!!! 5/12/2013

This was my first time getting a spray tan and I loved every minute of the experience. The woman so was so wonderful and made me confortable that I have nothing bad to say. From the beautiful while peaceful atmosphere to a heater floor mat to scented tan to the candy jars which you could help your self too as well as the cold water and tea the experience and service was great! I cant wait for my next event where I can come here and only here to get a spray tan it was that great! more

Thirty minutes at the Beauty Nook is like a mini-retreat--so serene, comfortable and relaxing. Emily's a pro at tinting brows and lashes--and a thoroughly nice person. All in all, it's a great value! more
