People in my class were of all ages, genders, shapes and sizes. All walks of life. Well, to be fair, they come from all walks of life, but they all have an interest in acting, and that common interest bonded us all together, and I am still friends with most of them.
The classes were not easy, but they helped me a lot. I am a larger woman, and as an actor, I have to own that. And I do. It's not going to do me any good if I think of myself as a leading lady, that is not hat I'll be cast as. This is not to say I can not have a lead role, but I mean the classic leading lady role, I think you know what I mean.
Meisner, acting in the moment and all that, people speaking the truth in the moment, that hard at first. But I needed it. We actors have to have a thick skin, especially character actors.
Anyway, I can not say enough nice things about them. Very supportive. Great staff. I learned a metric ton.
