So apparently this facility is by far the WORST place to do business here in central Texas. I am just wanting to voice MY OPINION of this and Ms. Cindy you are one of the RUDEST people I have EVER met. Not only will I be writing a review on here but I will continue to do so and post it all over Twitter AND Facebook so the whole world knows how awful this business is. I bought a Groupon back in March for my mothers Birthday so she could go sky diving and knock one of the items on her bucket list off. She has always wanted to do this and I've always been for it since I am an adventure seeker like she is. So today was the last day to use is. Prior to today my mom tried calling several times but she'd be told that they weren't jumping that day or anytime soon due to weather or various other excuses like not enough people etc. So on the Groupon it says call to make a reservation by 08/05/2013 okay so I call for her so that I can make the reservation later this year in the fall when its cooler and she doesn't lose the Groupon. As soon as the phone is answered and I tell CINDY what it is I have ( A GROUPON) her tone of voice IMMEDIATELY changes. She become rude with me and starts to tell me to read her the fine print. I ask her why and she says it has to be used TODAY and they aren't doing jumps so I am going to lose my money. I am in awe at this point confused because that's not what it says and I paid quite a chunk of money for this gift. I tell her it does't say it has to be used by today that it says I must make a reservation by today. She begins to raise her voice and I tell her I will call her back once I read over the Groupon again and speak to the person who needs to make this Reservation. I tell my mom whats wrong and she calls them. Same story only this time CINDY is claiming that they have been having problems with Groupon not putting on there the fine print and its not her fault. Then my mother tells her that we will be contacting Groupon about the matter to get a refund and she quickly changes her tone and says no she doesn't want to put words in there mouth that its not exactly what they have said but nonetheless my mother insists and then CINDY gets worse raising her voice (at a customer who was planning on bringing along others myself included and paying FULL PRICE for us me, my husband and sister to jump as well which we told her and she continued to NOT CARE!) She also says that and I quote ""We wouldn't want someone like you here ANYWAYS!"" I'm sorry but that sounded a little racist considering my mother has a very thick Hispanic accent ....I was NOT happy. She continued saying Groupon has been refusing to put on their Groupons that it must be used and reserved by 08/05/2013 and it was too bad so sad we just lost $ for not using it correctly. I was furious and my mother decided that she was just going to hang up and let her know that we wouldn't be arguing with her about this matter. Cindy is the manager of this facility supposedly and I think that this place should be closed down. FYI I will be reporting you to the Better Business Bureau and also writing to local media centers to follow up with an investigation on your facility!!! In the end I spoke with Groupon who were NOT AT FAULT and they went ahead an offered me 1 of 2 things to either A. Talk to them on my behalf and make the reservation or B. Refund my $ Needless to say I Chose B. WHY? well if this woman is this way can you imagine how she would react if there was an emergency or while jumping??? AND THANK GOD I CHOSE WHAT I DID read below and you will see this isn't' the FIRST TIME MS.Cindy ROYALY messes up. Last note PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM I promise you all you will get is a headache from having to deal with this company!!! I RATE THEM NO STARS!!! more

I had my first jump last Wednesday! I am in LOVE . It was probably the best experience I could ask for. Immediately, when we walked in we were warmly greeted and had smiles and laughs from the crew. I didn't expect to be so calm and alert. I blame the vibe of the place and people. What a wonderful place and crew you have =D more

Worst day ever 5/25/2012

Beware!!!! Read all reviews!! The owner is more concerned with money then your well being. (ie. while I am laying on the ground waiting in intense pain for the ambulance she was more concerned with getting the harness off of me even though any movement was agony with my ankle distorted and barely attached to my leg!) Oh and to top it off- no refund! They took us skydiving even though it was WAY too windy (other places would have postponed the jump-18mph ground winds with wind gusts of 26 mph) and the landing went wrong- 2 attempts to land and had to land way to fast after losing too much altitude- this resulted in a compound fracture and a shattered ankle and leg. FOUR surgeries later I will never be the same even after a year of physical therapy it still hurts with every step- but I am lucky..at least I can still walk and I still have my leg (there was a chance I could have lost it). *UPDATE (and I am still alive.... which after the first weekend of April 2012- when a poor gentleman did die here.... I am even more thankful!!!) more

Texas Skydiving Rocks! 7/22/2011

Went there yesterday, could not have asked for a better day. The minute we walked in the door we were made to feel welcome. Of course I was pretty nervous, but as soon as our dive-masters James and Josh got with us, I knew we were going to be more than okay. The manager made sure our family there to watch knew what was happening, where to look for us, and let them greet us in the landing area. These are some of the friendliest and most professional people I have encountered in the different activities I've done. Definitely check them out! more

Simply the best! 7/22/2011

Great vibe, great jumpmasters, great staff. They made us feel so comfortable. I'm not sure I could have done it without the extremely professional presence of my jumpmaster James, my camera guy David, the sign-in people, the very reassuring lady that harnessed me up, Cindy, and the packing guys. Great experience, great place - highly recommend! more

Read the yelp reviews!!! 7/9/2011

Having been there, all these favorable reviews are suspect. My girlfriend and I had a 3:30 reservation. When we arrived we were told we wouldn't be on the same plane although they failed to mention that when I made the reservation. The owner Cindy is a misery and her affect on the staff is palpable which likely resulted in the following. I finally made my jump around 5:30 and was instructed when to leave the plane and to pull my parachute at 4500 feet. All afternoon I watched skydivers come dangerously close to the power lines at the north end of the drop zone in high winds but just assumed they were novice mistakes. I further assumed that the pilot and jumpmasters were taking wind conditions into consideration as they made decisions about when to exit the plane. However having left the plane when instructed and pulling at 4500 feet I soon realized they themselves were either novices or careless because after facing into the wind the length of the 11 acre drop zone I was forced to make an abrupt low altitude S turn to prevent colliding with the power lines at the north end of the field. When my girlfriend was finally able to make her jump at 7:30 - four hours after our scheduled reservation - I assumed that the tandem instructors had been adequately vetted and she would be safe jumping with them which in hindsight was a poor decision based on my own jump. Both she, her tandem instructor, and the camerman blew about a quarter mile north of the drop zone crossing a road and power lines and landing in a cow pasture between dense tree lines and water hazards. In retrospect they were operating in unsafe wind conditions with inexperienced staff. The ""individualized attention"" they talk about on their website is a line. You will wait longer. You're unlikely to jump with your friends. Safety is not a priority there. Go somewhere else. more

We had a blast! 7/5/2011

My group had such a great time. I really recommend this experience for anyone who hasn't it tried it yet, and you can't beat the friendly vibe and individual attention at TX Skydiving Center. That plus it's very beautiful. We got there early and took advantage of the shaded cookout area for groups. This is a great place! more

Best Experience Ever! 7/5/2011

I've been wanting to do this for two years. I was a Nervous Nellie, with lots of concerns. I know it was a busy day, but they took all the time in the world with me and answered all my questions and didn't make me feel rushed at all. Two years ago I went with my cousins to another skydiving place near Austin, and it was like a cattle call. That is why I went here - they are smaller and I knew they would be patient. I can't say enough about the friendly staff, great view, beautiful parachute, nice gardens. They are very ""green"" which I also appreciate. Oh, and there are llamas to pet! more

horrible experience 7/4/2011

Where to start... they cancelled the jump on us 2 times, one of which is because they did not have a pilot and did not bother sending an email or calling everyone that had signed up in our group. When we finally got them to keep the appt time they spread our then group of 3 over 5.5 hr time period and kept putting people in front of us. The kicker to the whole thing was that we had prepaid through Tippr and Tx skydiving sent us a long email with all the rules and explained the $12 fuel surcharge which was not a big deal but when we arrived the informed us that we owed $25 more dollars because we exceeded the 225 lb weight limit. We are not obese people mind you, my brother and I are very tall and in shape people and just happen to be over the limit... supposedly. The scale they use is off by 6 lbs. Each person weighed themselves on different scales and each person was 6 lbs heavier upon arriving at the location. I did not realized gravity was more over there in order for them to charge an extra amount. When we told them that they did not notify us of the charge Cindy states that she did in the email. We would have left but since we prepaid we would have lost the money we paid the extra amount hoping to deal with it later. I later emailed the original email back to Cindy and there was not mention of the extra charge and she played it off as if I was to blame for somehow erasing that supposed line. The people are horrible to deal with so save yourself some money and 5.5 hrs and go to San Marcos where you can jump with your friends at one time. more

I loved it 5/12/2011

I loved it! This was my first time skydiving, so I don't have any other experience to compare it to. Overall, I think that the teachers were very respectful and helpful, and my jumpmaster was great. Skydiving is pretty expensive, but I definitely plan on doing it again and will recommend Texas Skydiving to my friends. more
