Best

I searched local movers when I needed a move after selling our home and moving around the corner, Taylor and Sons had the best rate, so even after reading a few "sketchy" reviews,...

Worst

Movers were pretty much kids who couldn't get furniture from a 2 bedroom condo, no appliances, and about 10 boxes onto truck. They insisted it was a 2 day move at double the cost...

I don't recommend anyone to use there Taylor & Sons service. Eric the owner is a very rude man, with a very short temper and nasty attitude. He was very rude and disrespectful to me. He curse me out and called me a bitch. Little do he know, he was on speaker and his workers heard everything! It was so bad, his workers had to apologize to me on there boss behalf for the way he behaved over the phone. That's not customer service skills or the way you should treat your customer. This is the WORST moving experience I've ever had. Don't be fooled by Eric at the beginning. As soon as he get your credit card information that's when his true color show and the evilness comes out. more

You often hear horror stories about moving companies. Moving is not our favorite thing to do, but Taylor & Sons Moving made it so much easier. The crew is great! They were courteous, professional and worked non-stop! Go with Taylor & Sons and you won't be disappointed! Highly recommended and we'll use them again! more

Not sure about these guys -- sounded oh so re-assuring when we hired them. After move our front load washer began leaking from the underside, I called to find out ""if"" Sears finds it was damaged by the dolly during moving does their insurance cover it. I was told things like ""you'd have to prove we did it"" and ""our insurance only covers things like if we drop your tv or break something."" In just making an inquiry, got some serious attitude -- actually had to point out their sour attitude. At which time I was hung up on. Customer Service AFTER getting your cash NOT PROFESSIONAL. Probably would not do business with them again especially if this is how they act when you inquire on possible claim; how will they act if you actually have a claim? They owe me an apology for their rudeness-- won't hold my breath. more

Melbourne's Best Movers!! 1/27/2013

I had an outstanding move with this company. I used them to move myself 2 years ago. I had to move down to Melbourne to be closer to my family so it was done sort of quickly. They got to my house early just to help me pack as I wasn't quite ready. The guys were so professional and so nice! \r They boxed all of my china and kitchen stuff with great care and marked every box. Then when they started to do the actual move, every piece of furniture was quilt wrapped and they put rubber bands around the quilts to keep the drawers in. I didn't even have to take my clothing out of the drawers! Wow I've never seen anything like that! \r They broke down all of my beds and set them up in the new place so I didn't have to do a thing but tell them where everything went. Nothing got broken, scratched, or damaged. They worked all day at a good pace, nobody was smoking or just hanging around on my job. \r The price was right - I saved $35 AN HOUR by going with them instead of a franchise and that alone was a huge savings since this had to be done on the fly. I would and have recommended them to everybody I know. \r Since they were so good with me I had them move my Grandma into a retirement home last year. Taylor & Sons really took great care with her since she was elderly. They came in and did an entire pack and move for her in a day since it was smaller. She was just so happy and pleased and of course, it made me look good since I recommended them. \r So I got a great job at a fair price and you will too! more

Taylor & Sons recently moved our four bedroom home and did such a great job that I would highly recommend them to anyone! Not only were the employees professional, courteous and conscientious they were very efficient and completed the move in less time than had been estimated! I was very pleased with their service and the care they took with my belongings. I am very happy to support a local business and recommend them to anyone with a move in their future! more

Taylor and Sons has moved me twice. They also moved my parents. My father was a logistics manager for many years and has used many companies for moving but thought this company was the most fair priced and efficient as well. As to my two moves, the price set was the price I was charged. They drove four hours to get to my home, wrapped every thing well and moved me from Illinois to Florida. Nothing was broke. Movers made sure boxes and furniture was where I wanted it. The owners of the company were willing to meet the truck if I couldn't make it for the unload. If I move again I will be calling this company again! Best move ever. (I moved over24 times). more

My college graduate daughter needed to move a heavy ornate bedroom set and a t.v. from our home to her new apartment an hour and a half away. We were sucked into hiring Taylor and Sons by Lisa on the phone and her repeatedly saying they were a mom and pop business who charged way less than the big guys and promised to take really good care of us. Lisa gave us a ""high-end"" estimate of $500 and said it could be less but in her words"" she would rather give us the high end because she doesn't believe in blowing sunshine up your skirt because if she is upfront then she can sleep at night."" The movers showed up 3 hours late , my daughter and I had been waiting at the new apt after cleaning it for the move in. They proceeded to carry the bed down the stairs unwrapped when my husband warned them to be careful as the top ornamentation on the headboard was wobbling and looked like it was going to fall. As they continued to carry it out it crashed onto the driveway and broke into several pieces. When they arrived at the new location they demanded $700 instead of the $500 high end quote . This was to be paid in cash or it would be higher. My daughter had withdrawn the $500 from her ATM earlier and had some extra savings in her piggy bank. I had a twenty dollar bill and lots of change. We spoke with Eric the owner over the phone who said pay up or say goodbye to the furniture. My daughter was in hysterics sobbing and we did not even know about the broken furniture at this time! Basically what Taylor in Sons did is charge double by charging us for the men and $150 in fuel and then charging and EXTRA 3 hours for the truck which had not been quoted to us over the phone or at pick up. When they finally brought my daughters bedroom furniture upstairs we saw it in pieces. They told us we could file a claim. Next they banged and struggled their way up the stairs with her armoir and saw it was chipped and dinged in several areas. This and a nightstand was the only things they moved except her t.v. still in the box which they charged and extra $25 dollars to move. I called Eric the next day to ask for a claim form. He tells me that his guys asked my husband if the top came off and he told them ""no"" and so he was not responsible and that the guys had wrapped the bed in quilts and taken great care. This was all lies. Finally he said we could submit a claim and he would pay 60cents a pound for the destroyed bed.\r \r I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone! more

This is a duplicate site for same company with low approval ratings. Taylor & Sons provided excellent service during my family's recent move. They were very friendly over the phone and made setting up the move easy and quick. When moving day came, the truck came right on time and the movers used the utmost care with our belongings. I'd recommend Taylor & Sons to anyone looking to move in the Brevard Co. area looking for great quality at a great price! more

We recently moved a household of five with Taylor & Sons. From start to finish, they exceeded our expectations. Moving is a stressful time, and with children and work, we really needed a mover who could handle everything without us having to worry. They were timely, professional, and careful with our things. Nothing was damaged. They truly seemed to understand that they were moving a home, not just a house. I highly recommend Taylor and Sons, for their professional, friendly service. Thank you Taylor and Sons! more

Would Recommend 9/30/2011

I searched local movers when I needed a move after selling our home and moving around the corner, Taylor and Sons had the best rate, so even after reading a few "sketchy" reviews, I went with them. I can honestly say that I was completely satisfied with their service. They showed up on time, their was no damage to my walls or belongings, it was a very easy move! In reading some of the other comments, I must say, I don't know how people could end up with other peoples stuff when the moving van was empty when they started my move, and I would question the people who are missing jewelry. WHY would you leave valuable jewelry in plain sight, with strangers in your home anyway? We moved our jewelry, cameras, other small valuables by ourselves in our own cars. That's just common sense. Anywhoooo, I would highly recommend Taylor and Sons. more

Worst Move Ever - A Nightmare 9/12/2011

Movers were pretty much kids who couldn't get furniture from a 2 bedroom condo, no appliances, and about 10 boxes onto truck. They insisted it was a 2 day move at double the cost. The owner was hostile and sarcastic when I called to complain. Our furniture was banged up, the walls of our new home were damaged, and they said it would be worse if we wanted some things upstairs because they were tired. We ended up with some things that didn't belong to us, and we were missing some things like glass shelves from our china hutch. The owner laughed and said we could keep the things that didn't belong to us. The worse part is that we suspect that things were stolen from us, and I did file a report with the Cocoa Beach Police Dept. I would not recommend this company unless you are looking for an unprofessional, incompetent company with a sarcastic hostile owner who will not back up any of the promises that he made to get your business. more

Worst move ever!!! 5/14/2011

We recently moved to the area. We were living in an apartment until our house was finished? Upon a coworkers recommendation we decided to use Taylor and Sons. We spoke with the owner Eric. He seemed very nice and gave a reasonable quote. more

Best Movers In Town 10/20/2010

I had the best move ever with Taylor & Sons Moving!!! The quote I got was right on the money - I thought it would take longer but the guys were fantastic! They moved me so quick - nothing was broken, they were professional and just super! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a mover in Melbourne. Great prices too - I saved $30 an hour by not going with a franchise!!! more

We had a terrific move with Taylor & Sons last week. The guys were super professional, did a fast job, and my stuff wasn't damaged at all. I was really impressed with the staff and my estimate was spot on. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great move at a fair price - when I priced them against the franchises they were $30 and HOUR cheaper!! Yay me!! more

GREAT MOVERS! 10/7/2010

Taylor & Sons Moving have moved me twice. Both times they came on time although I am a good 5 hours where they are from, they were polite, thoughtful, made sure they understood what I was moving, they didn't let my pets out, they worked hard, they worked for six hours in the heat, loaded up and let me know the time and date they would deliver my furniture in Florida. They were on time there as well. These guys are awesome. The price that I was quoted was the price I paid. This was a difficult move as my father was the one that was suppose to move 1st but the day before the movers came, he found out he had cancer. All our plans changed. When Bruce and Oscar showed up, they understood, moved things from my parents house and mine. I have never seen such good hard working men. Delivering the stuff in Florida were Ray and Oscar. They had us moved in in about 2 hours. They moved everything back and forth until we were pleased with the placement. There is no way to ever thank this company enough for the stress free move that we experienced. My father who had a life time of expediting was also amazed at the professionalism and care this company took. The second move was so smooth. Once again this company came through! more
