Review content:
My college graduate daughter needed to move a heavy ornate bedroom set and a t.v. from our home to her new apartment an hour and a half away. We were sucked into hiring Taylor and Sons by Lisa on the phone and her repeatedly saying they were a mom and pop business who charged way less than the big guys and promised to take really good care of us. Lisa gave us a ""high-end"" estimate of $500 and said it could be less but in her words"" she would rather give us the high end because she doesn't believe in blowing sunshine up your skirt because if she is upfront then she can sleep at night."" The movers showed up 3 hours late , my daughter and I had been waiting at the new apt after cleaning it for the move in. They proceeded to carry the bed down the stairs unwrapped when my husband warned them to be careful as the top ornamentation on the headboard was wobbling and looked like it was going to fall. As they continued to carry it out it crashed onto the driveway and broke into several pieces. When they arrived at the new location they demanded $700 instead of the $500 high end quote . This was to be paid in cash or it would be higher. My daughter had withdrawn the $500 from her ATM earlier and had some extra savings in her piggy bank. I had a twenty dollar bill and lots of change. We spoke with Eric the owner over the phone who said pay up or say goodbye to the furniture. My daughter was in hysterics sobbing and we did not even know about the broken furniture at this time! Basically what Taylor in Sons did is charge double by charging us for the men and $150 in fuel and then charging and EXTRA 3 hours for the truck which had not been quoted to us over the phone or at pick up. When they finally brought my daughters bedroom furniture upstairs we saw it in pieces. They told us we could file a claim. Next they banged and struggled their way up the stairs with her armoir and saw it was chipped and dinged in several areas. This and a nightstand was the only things they moved except her t.v. still in the box which they charged and extra $25 dollars to move. I called Eric the next day to ask for a claim form. He tells me that his guys asked my husband if the top came off and he told them ""no"" and so he was not responsible and that the guys had wrapped the bed in quilts and taken great care. This was all lies. Finally he said we could submit a claim and he would pay 60cents a pound for the destroyed bed.\r

I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!
