While the Taverna has a ""fun"" atmosphere, it's more of a club than a restaurant. The problem comes when they try to merge the two. What you get is no available seats, poor and unwelcoming service, and the food is sub-par.
Reservations don't mean anything, and you wait an additional 1.5 hours at the bar. People waiting at the tables for service are constantly appealing to the manager, who appeases those complaining by buying shots. The food sounds far better on the menu than it tastes, and greek basics are made poorly. Late night (inevetable given the pace of service) the place is literally converted into a club, and the music goes to insane volumes (people are stuffing napkins in their ears).
Pros: Party Atmosphere, A Greek Rest. in ATL, Diverse Crowd
Cons: Poor Service, Less than Par Food, VERY Crowded, Loud
