Target World

I will never go here again. The service was rude and cocky and absolutely unorganized. I had never been here before and they asked if I had shot a gun before and of course I said yes, so they handed me the gun, and I was on my way. It's unnerving that they don't go over gun safety or ANYTHING with first time customers. I could have been completely oblivious to guns, walked in and said I'm a professional shooter and they would have been handed me a gun, no questions asked. The range was absolutely covered in shells too and I almost slipped when I left. I was beyond disappointed with the place. more

Joe, who works behind the gun counter has given me exceptional service. I rarely ever write reviews, but he took care of me and some. Very knowledgeable. He cleaned my AK right in front of me and showed me the step by step of how to do it properly. Also gave me a great deal of details on my M39 Mauser I had just purchased and knew nothing about. I have been there to buy guns/accessories and use their range in the past, but I certainly was not a loyal customer. I now am, for life. more

I just wanted to write this review and say that the service I received today from Dave M. at Target World, was very pleasant. I brought in my two children and he was accommodating, proactive, and patient with them while showing various hand guns and rifles. more

I created an account specifically to post this review. I dropped a rifle off there to have some gunsmithing done as it had been having case-head seperations. Any good gunsmith should be able to take a couple quick measurements and tell you right away if this is a headspacing issue, but I was told that he wasn't in that day. I figured no big deal, and left the rifle, and instructions to call once it was diagnosed so I could determine if it was worth fixing. A week later, I hadn't heard anything, so I called and was told it would be about 2 months before it was even looked at. This is a ridiculous amount of time to get a diagnosis, but I wasn't in a hurry so I said fine. I called 3 months after that, and no one had a clue where the rifle was. Apparently the gunsmith takes the rifles home, which I might have been okay with, but no one ever mentioned this to me. Finally, two weeks later, I get a hold of the shop, and the smith at least had my rifle, but he's already ordered a bunch of parts for it without ever even speaking to me, and wouldn't even take the time to speak with me personally on the phone so i could find out what was going on. I was a day away from reporting that rifle stolen because no one knew where it went. Now that I know he has it, I still don't know its condition, or what it's going to cost to have the work done. It's not an expensive rifle, so there's no way I'm footing a huge bill on it. This place is terrible. You're ignored almost all the time. The staff doesn't have a clue what's going on, and they don't care to help you. They don't follow instructions left by customers, their turnaround is ridiculous, and who even knows if the work will be good. Once I have that rifle back, I will never set foot in this store again. more

I normally do not write reviews but feel like I have to in this case because I don't understand the negative reviews Target World received. I almost didn't go there because of many bad reviews I saw on this site but I'm glad I did. more

COMPLETELY UNSATISFACTORY BUSINESS\r \r Basically, according to the target world staff, because i've never served in the military i dont have the right to be in their shop or enjoy my 2nd amendment rights. Yes, that really is what happened. That is what one of target worlds staff said to me.\r \r "Target World is Cincinnati's premier public" Rude Arrogant Unprofessional Business that will treat you and every other customer like dirt. A sales person was trying to sell me a very expensive $1700 1911 handgun. I know quite a bit about these and know the specs and features he was spitting out were way off and wrong. So I politely let him know that he was incorrect, with a honestly rude and arrogant attitute,he basically told me to shut up. So I pulled up the manufactures website on my phone and showed him that he was wrong. But he still denyied it. So apparently me and the PERSON WHO DESIGNED IT AND MAKES IT are wrong. Like i'm gonna trust some target world tactical wanna be, That place is a joke and are a bunch of liars! more

Honestly pathetic. To put it simply: insanely rude staff, arrogant staff, very dirty range, very unsafe range, way over priced products and a generally unwelcome atmosphere. As far as gun shops go, there are other options....i suggest you use them. more

After buying one handgun from these guys and visiting a number of times attempting to use the range I've found almost all the staff to be arrogant, obnoxious, unhelpful, and for the most part uninformed. Find another place to buy, shoot, learn, and enjoy. It can't be done here. If there was more competition locally these guys would be out of business!!! more

I was there 2 days ago and was quite upset with the staff. I was going to buy a handgun there until the employee who was helping me decided to embarress me infront of his co-workers because I didnt know the difference between two types of ammo. Well excuse me for wanting to learn. Learned my lesson, will do business with another shop. more

I've tried. \r \r Was a member for three years but didn't renew in late 2011. \r \r Range is dangerous and management doesn't care. They do not enforce their own rules. I saw more muzzles in three years at Target World than I saw in 40+ years of shooting.\r \r Bought a safe there and regret it. Salesman said I'd get a call from delivery guy within a week to arrange delivery. 3 weeks later I stopped in for status. Was told to call delivery guy. \r \r I shop at One Shot in Newtown now, and shoot at Shooter's in KY. more

I entered the store on a very busy day. I was quickly aknowledged and they were working with the other customers quite professionally while I was waiting. Once I was waited on, the gentleman was very patient with me, as I was someone who was 1st time customer. While I found a product I was quite happy with, due to my own time restrictions I wasn't able to complete the purchase. Once I got home and did some price comparisons I was able to find a better price at competitor, but I appreciated the attendant patience and knowledge. more

Very rude staff, horrible managment and rip off prices. I love shooting weapons, its a great hobby, I just cant stand the type (most) of people it attracts. This place has horrible customer service and the staff misrepresent and lie about some of their products. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! more

I have made numerous purchases from Target World over the last several years, and each time I have had to practically beg to be waited on. I could be more tolerant if they were busy but this is usually not the case. A simple acknowledgement would go a long way, but sometimes I wonder if I'm invisible. Their prices are strictly MSRP and I have gotten little if any help with warranty issues. I like their selection, location and the on sight target range, but my patience has grown very thin. More than likely I will be exploring other local stores. more
