Target World

My daughter, Megan, has been taking archery lessons at Target World from Jim A for about a year. Jim is a fantastic teacher! Megan has steadily increased both her archery skills and her enjoyment of archery under Jim’s instruction. She recently had the opportunity to participate in an archery tournament that Jim organized and had a very positive first-tournament experience and is looking forward to competing again soon. more

Not having been to target world in years, I decided to revisit. The last time I had been in they had only one counter – that’s how long it’s been. This visit I needed small and large rifle primers. I called ahead and they confirmed they had them. \r I did see well stocked shelves and what I consider to be decent prices. I was glad they had what I needed as others in the area did not. The wait time was minimal.\r There will definitely not be such a long time in between my next visit to target world.\r more

Go anywhere else to purchase guns or anything gun related. not competitive or honest. Quite a few jerks on the staff. Recently, I was looking to purchase a Liberty safe. I tried to connect with Trevor for a week but only spoke through voice mail. I was purchasing this for my husband on his birthday. When we went to look at them in person, we were lied to (not by Trevor) multiple times. Lie #1- the black chrome hardware costs $300 more on a Liberty Safe. Lie #2- the digital combination lock costs more than the manual one. Lie #3- this safe isn't a second it was just damaged in transit. Lie #4- shipping is free. The safe had a tag which arrived on it and stated what was wrong with the safe from the factory. Target World knowingly buys factory defective safes. The price on this Liberty Lincoln 35 was $3000 with steel gouges and paint defects. The explanation was that it had the black chrome and digital combination which made it worth more. He asked if I could hold...came back on and told me that Trevor would be back in tomorrow. I told him I needed to order it today as it is my husband's birthday. He told me to ""order it from Gander Mountain then!"" Target World runs a shady practice when it comes to their safes. Don't fall for the free shipping. I am getting the safe and delivery cheaper than a defective safe with the exact same features. Go anywhere else! You will be treated better, not lied to, get a competitive price, and an overall better buying experience. more

I have always had great experiences with their staff, as have my family and friends. I shoot at the range about twice a month, have bought a safe from them and attended their concealed carry training. I even bought my wife a purse with a special compartment for concealed carry. They can get busy at times which can be frustrating, but they give you full attention when you get served.\r more

I walked into target world recently and spent a few mins wondering around then waited at the counter for help. I was within 5 mins helped by Ryan R. He just finished with another customer and promptly started helping me. I had already done some research online as to what I wanted, and was pretty set, but had a few questions about a different gun I was interested in. He told me everything I wanted to know and made me feel secure about what I wanted by recommending the exact gun I had settled on for my needs. He set me up with a Glock 23 which seemed like the perfect fit for me. Definitely a customer now as the experience was top notch. I no sooner was talking to Ryan than I had guns in my hands and was able to get a real feel for them. Will definitely be buying here again because of him. more

I had been all over looking for a gun safe. Not only did TW have quality items, but Trevor treated me extremely well. We talked multiple times over the phone and he gave me updates on inventory regularly. When I came in to make a purchase he spent plenty of time with me and answered all my questions, and got me into the safe I needed. I called looking for a PX4 9mm Compact for my folks. They are retired, ex-military and I thought it might be a nice fit. Had two in stock when I called at 4:15, my parents arrived at 4:50, there was one left. Tim (whom I had spoken to) helped them check a few other possibilities, then making sure it fit both of their hands properly and went over everything very professionally with them. He taught them some new things about such a new gun and it worked out perfectly. \r \r They got their new purchase, plus a few other things they would need, including a cleaning kit. Literally Tim did every single thing I would have done if I was selling my very own parents a gun. \r \r They also purchased several other items, both signed up for the Basic Safety and the Carry Permit Class, looked at range times and such. The staff made them enthusiastic fans of Target World, not just customers.\r \r It was clear to me from my parents description of the experience there, that the staff understands clearly that a gun purchase is NOT a simple sale or transaction, but for most it is the beginning of a lifelong relationship with the organization.
