I have been going here for years and is one of the best places for great sushi at a very reasonable price. The service there is excellent and the food is always top notch. Many people I know have this particular place as their favorite. more

Good cheap sushi!!! 11/15/2010

I love this place! a friend of mine got me hooked, we would always go to the one in Clackamas before going out to the barn to ride, and i loved it but hated the drive! but i was thrilled to find out that they had one in beaverton, I come in probably once a week whether its for a quick lunch or dinner, there sushi is always fresh and good!! Im picky and don't like fish eggs, so i always ask them to make mine special without any fish eggs and they are always quick and friendly! I am so happy this place is here and as long as they keep up the awsome service and sushi i will keep coming back!!! more

Great Sushi!! 11/20/2008

They have many kinds of food for the person who loves to eat Japanese food. The appetizers include spring rolls, gyoza and mizo soup. Many people think mizo soup in Sushi Land is good because it can make you warm and tastes very good. The entrees include tempura, udon and sushi. Sushi is the best entree that you should to try. They have many kinds of sushi such as egg, saba, special house, salmon, seaweed and etc. For the dessert, that many people suggest red bean ice cream; however, they have many desserts such as green tea ice cream, mochi ice cream. Drinks in Sushi Land recommend hot tea kind of green tea that can make you must try. more

Delicious Sushi!!! 11/20/2008

There are about 40 kinds of sushi and other Japanese food such as miso soup, natto, and so on. People can use some sauces, such as sweet sauce, soy sauce, or spicy sauce for sushi. As the sushi is covered with the lid of transparent plastic, it?s sanitary. Despite good taste, prices are reasonable. I was happy about it. However, it doesn?t look fresh. In fact, I felt the sushi was a little dried. Waiters who can speak Japanese a little bit are so friendly and considerate, and several Japanese goods, as Japanese flags or paintings, are hung on the wall. The look is fancy and trendy. That's why, I really like the restaurant!! Pros: food, cheap, ambience more

Good, cheap, carosel type sushi! 11/1/2008

Love sushiland! Sure the sushi may not be ""top quality"" but it's cheap and tastes great! Service may not always be great...sometimes it can take a while to get the attention of the sushi guys if you want something made that's not already on the carosel. The place definitely stays busy which is a great sign to me. Great place for quick, cheap sushi! Pros: Good sushi, cheap, nice servers Cons: Slow service at times, occasional wait for seating more

Horrible! Bad service, sushi not fresh! Sushiland Downtown and in Clackamas are great, so what happened here?! 5/28/2008

I have eaten here twice. Unfortunately I gave them a second chance since I enjoy the sushi at the Downtown and Clackamas Sushilands. Both times it seemed like all the servers were highschoolers that didn't care to be there and didn't care about the customers. The sushi was dried out, looked like it had been out for a long time, so I ordered something fresh and it still was not very good. I go to the Sushiland in Clackamas all the time and love it. I don't know why Marinepolis Sushiland in Beaverton is so horrible. Must be the management. Pros: Nothing comes to mind! Cons: EVERYTHING comes to mind!! more

eh, it's ok... 4/24/2008

I was excited the first time I went in, but some of the HOT things on the conveyor belt was ice cold and some of the COLD things were warm. Pros: Asparagus Rolls and Calamari are great!!! Cons: QUESTIONABLE SANITATION, Lengthy waits for everything, below average sushi, very cramped environment more

It may be tasty, it may be good, but it failed health inspection 3 times! 2/18/2008

I've been a fan of sushiland all the way back to the mid-90's. But in that past 2 years, have you noticed the management change? Have you noticed the average age of the staff? Have you noticed the speed of the service? Do you get seated with a smile? To top it all off... they failed health inspection 3 times!!! I'm sure it's corrected by now since KPTV aired... but the previous points haven't... sometimes there are 5-8 seats open and it'll take them 5 minutes to seat the next customers... hmm... Pros: cheap eats, relaxed atmosphere Cons: sushi is more ""luke warm"" than it should be... and that's not good, service is slow at best more

Worst service ever 2/11/2008

Went on a Sunday afternoon at 3 pm. Had to wait about 20 minutes. There were two girls that were working, kinda. They stood around, even when there were dishes to clear. They completely missed us on the reservation list and we had to point it out. They made no attempt to smile or clear part of the bar for us. One even sat down as she was clearing dishes. We had to ask for miso soup twice, as well as soy sauce trays. It was just a terrible atmosphere. more

WORST SUSHI PLACE 2/5/2008

I WENT TO EAT HERE AND IT HAS BAD SERVICE!!! I HAD WAITED FOR THIS YOUNG MAN TO GET ME MY ORDER AND HE HAD TOTALLY FORGOTTEN ABOUT IT UNTIL I HAD TO REMIND HIM. THE SUSHI DOESN'T TASTE AS GREAT AS IT USED TO COUPLE YEARS AGO. I THINK THE CHANGE OF MANAGER WAS A HORRIBLE MISTAKE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING THERE. AGAIN, BAD SERVICE, NOT CLEAN, NASTY FOOD. I'M DONE EATING AT FAST FOOD SUSHI PLACES, SUSHI TOWN ISN'T ANY BETTER. I'M ALL FOR SUSHI RESTAUARANTS NOW. GOOD LUCK!!!! more

HORRIBLE 1/1/2008

Went to Sushi Land Beaverton to pick up food to go on New Years Day because it was the only place open and my wife had a craving. I've been to this location once before as well as the Clackamas location and it was only marginal. After waiting 10 minutes to actually place an order (the line was out the door), I sat to wait ""about 20 minutes"". 40 mins later I informed the waitress that I had ordered from that I was still waiting when she asked if I needed to be seated. After watching her take one of the Sushi chefs? to the back, she returned to tell me that my order was almost finished. A couple of minutes later I watched as my order was placed on the counter behind the till where it sat for another 5-10 minutes uncovered while the staff helped other customers pay. When the kid behind the counter finally got around to checking my order, he had to return to the line 2 more times for missing items. More than an hour after walking in I was finally paying (full price) and I asked the cashier if it was normal for a to go order to take close to an hour. He stated that they were busier than normal as well as short staffed, but he made no apology. Pros: It was open Cons: Service and food more

Used to be good but something must have changed lately 12/19/2007

We used to go to Sushiland all the time after they remodeled several years ago. The quality of fish was good, they added variety and kept the price what it used to be ($1.00, $1.50, $2.00, $3.00 plates). It might not have the best sushi you would ever have but it was good and it was a really good deal for the money. However, something happened to Sushiland lately. Last several times we went, the freshness of the food just wasn't there, salmon was cut paper-thin, and variety just wasn't there. It was same plates going around. Other people must have noticed that quality went downhill as well because there were hardly any customers there during peak lunch hour last Friday. Previously, you always had to wait. This happened to us last 3-4 times and we kept coming back with hopes. I asked the gal that works there if they had any changes and she said that they had change in management. Whatever they are doing, is not working too well. I think I will give them another shot in about 6 months or so. more

Has gone downhill FAST!!!! 12/19/2007

I used to love to go to this place, great Sushi, nice portions, very reasonably priced. But the past 2-3 times, I've noticed the poor quality, the poor cuts (the salmon was paper thin!!!!)... I couldn't BELIEVE it!!! I also noticed that they've lost a lot of customers due to this. They used to have a long wait in line during lunch, but the past few times I went (I guess I'm the last to know), there was no lines, the booths were available and there are always seats open. Last time I went, I commented to the clerk regarding the quality and how it has gone down recently, and she said that there was a change of management... Ahhh, OK, that explains it. I will not be coming back here. Might check it out 8-9 months from now to see if another change of management improves the quality of food. Pros: Miso soup is ok Cons: Paper thin salmon, other cuts are pretty thin as well, not fresh more

Dont take risks when it comes to the quality of your food. Especially when its raw. 12/19/2007

When we first started out in the land of sushi, sushi land was perfect. We had no idea what was what and we were able to experiment without spending a lot of money. But now that we have experienced and we have learned, we wouldn?t tread anywhere near sushi land. The fish is not fresh, the hot food is cold and the cold food is room temperature. Even the rice has a strange taste. I LOVE sushi. I?m crazy about it. If I could eat it everyday, I wouldn?t and never bat an eye of discontentment. I?m really easy to please when it comes to sushi. Sushi land leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth and an ache in my stomach. The last three times I?ve eaten there (we kept going back in hopes that maybe they had an off night or two) I?ve gotten some form of upset stomach. It just doesn?t sit right, and it never happens to me anywhere else. There isn?t enough wasabi, ginger and soy sauce on all of the tables in the joint to cover their poor quality. I see the same 6 things going around over and over. It?s just not worth it. Is this what I am supposed to expect from a sushi-go-round? I don?t think so. You?d have better quality and taste buying sushi from a street vendor. more

not yummy 7/30/2007

initially we were optimistic despite the dismal fixtures and lighting. with each plate we were disappointed, however. fish portions are small and could be fresher. they aren't using the best cuts of fish; using what better (and even inexpensive) sushi restaurantsts cut away. prices are low but if you're looking for melt-in-your mouth and japanese sushi chefs, look elsewhere. more

awesome 7/22/2006

Who cares if you have to wait in line. A long line is a reflection on how long people will wait to eat their food! Quality is great. Service is great. Taste is Great. Pros: good food Cons: there isn't enough of them (chains) more

Good for the Money 4/14/2006

Alright, so the sushi is not super duper delux, if you're one of those hotsy totsy gotta be seen in the classiest places in town spending money you don't have then this is not the place for you. But if you're jonsen for a good meal fast, inexpensive and of good, fresh quality, this is the place for you. Always a line, usually short, insures fresh sushi. They're always cutting fresh salmon and you can order special items and have them in a flash. Order the Ricky roll and the seared salmon. The table service is a little unorganized (they could use trays to clear tables to speed things up) but very friendly. The prices are 1/2 of what the trendy places charge and the quality is usually as good. Pros: fast food, price, variety Cons: small lines, ambience more

fast food sushi at an alright price 3/12/2006

Sushi is alright, nothing to write home about. Sometimes rice is improperly cooled and warms the fish itself, making it less than pleasant. Rice is pressed by machine and not by hand, which reminds me of something you'd see at mcdonalds. The wait can be incredibly long sometimes, longer than at better but more expensive sushi bars. Fish is priced nicely, however. I go there to order specifics, I never take fish off the train. Pros: cheap, clean, decent variety Cons: seating, service, fast-food feel more

My friend loves it too much! 2/9/2006

About 2 yrs ago we came there the first time and disappointed for waiting and quit because the waiting list messed up and other group passed us. I said not ever to come back. Lately a friend of mine insists to ""try"" that place. We went there, and thus come back a few times. The sushi is surprisingly affordable for that kind of taste, quality, and variety. The number of people waiting tell you all: It is so good! However, for groups of 4 or more people, the change of getting seated together is loooooong. Good sushi place, but not in a hurry! Pros: best sushi for price, variety, friendly Cons: Wait, Busy more

Cheap Sushi 10/1/2005

I've been to Sushi land a couple times. It takes a while to be seated most of the time when there are many open seats availabe. Also it takes forever to get drinks. The sushi is made in the same way they make burgers at burger king and the rice taste kind of funny. Also the music is anoying Pros: good spicy tuna sauce, cheap Cons: sushi is sloppy, service is flakey more
