The Best Sushi period. 10/17/2002

This by far outdoes any other sushi restaurant in denver. The food is the freshest and the atmosphere so inviting. Top notch. more

Treatment like the bald-headed stepchild 10/12/2002

I have eaten at the Sushi Den on a handful of occasions. All of my visits were less than impressive, however the worst experience was when my husband and I went to with a few close friends for my husband's birthday. They made us wait 3 HOURS past our reservation time because one extra person showed up. As our consolation prize they gave us vanilla flavored ice milk in a small glass cup. Since that time we have not returned and would never recommend this restaurant. Pros: Adequate sushi, Nice presenation Cons: Pretentious, Rude staff, Ridiculous wait more

got a yen for sushi? 10/10/2002

Sushi Den is probably one of the best, if not the best places for sushi. However it is very expensive! If you have alot of money to splurge, definately go there!! more

Good Sushi, snobby folks, too high class 10/3/2002

I been to this place three times, I like the sushi a lot, cause I never been eating sushi before, my buddy he's in real estate. So he goes here like 3-4 times a week!! The atmosphere is like a poetry convention, where they sip on wine and talk business. I don't like it. You got to be known to be known! I was uncomfortable, because I was wearing some cutt-off jeans and a tee-shirt! Everyone was business-dressed! It was expensive too, depending on what you order. Pros: food. Cons: too fancy, rich folks. more

sushi love 9/20/2002

Sushi Den has amazing sushi, better than some in Japan. The wait is long, the service slow, but we still go there. more

the best, bar none 9/19/2002

Sushi den is always incredible. You'll almost always have to wait and it's not cheap, but the sushi is the freshest in denver and better than a lot of other places (miami, etc). It's worth it. more

Be seen but don't expect the best 9/19/2002

In talking with people who have had lots of sushi around the world, Sushi Den doesn't measure up in terms of the food. It's about being seen and the ambiance that makes people think it must be good. I've eaten at sushi restaurants with very little flash and had the best food ever. more

Sushi in Denver I 9/15/2002

The best Sushi in Denver yet but I have only been here for three months so use this with caution. Great teriyaki dishes, the beef was oh, so tender and the sauce just right. Sushi is also excellent. However, it is pretty pricey and trendy. A lot of seen and be seen crowd, or as one of my friends called it, the beautiful people. The service was great and top notched. I would recomend going there to impress a date or a expensive treat for yourself. Pros: Great ambience, Excellent service, Yummy dishes Cons: Expensive, Could be crowded, Dress to impress more

Pretentious 9/6/2002

Too much rice, unfriendly, cold, ""there to see & be seen"" atmosphere, too expensive. If you want to be trendy, go to Sushi Den. If you want a friendly place, go to Sonoda's. more

best in Denver 9/3/2002

By a longshot, Sushi Den offers the freshest sushi in Denver. The quality of every piece far exceeds any other sushi restaurant. Pros: fresh, quality sushi, mike, the bartender, valet parking more

Expensive But Fresh 7/30/2002

By far the best sushi in town and that's because they know how to prepare sushi and their fish is the freshest. It isn't cheap and it's hard to get seated past 6pm but the food is the best. Pros: fresh fish, great chefs Cons: parking, expensive, very, very busy more

The Best 7/29/2002

Freshness and preperation is always top notch here and the crew truly enjoys serving the customers. Pros: Generous portions, fun Cons: busy more

Fantastic food & flair*** 7/29/2002

The best and freshest sushi around. Great ambiance. Excellent desserts too! more

Best Sushi in the U.S 7/27/2002

Please ignore any reviews which claim any place in Denver has better or fresher sushi than Sushi Den. Their fish is flown in DAILY from Japan and you will find nothing better in the U.S. The only Sushi I have ever had that was fresher was in Vancouver, and it was a close race with Sushi Den. Sushi Den has the best atmosphere, super hip. Reminds me of L.A, possibly Manhattan. You must dress to impress here, this isn't a khaki and sandals place (rare for Denver). In all, this is the best Sushi in the US. It tops LA, Seattle, and NYC. There isn't another city competing, is there? Pros: Best Sushi in Town, Hippest place to eat, Amazing atmosphere Cons: Long wait times, No reservations more

10 7/19/2002

Sushi Den is by far the best Sushi restuarant in Denver. It's the freshest fish, the beers are cold and it's a great people watching spot! more

It's the freshest 5/28/2002

I ate at three sushi restaurants in three days, basically ordering the same thing at each, and hands down Sushi Den was the freshest and the best. For that fresh of sushi the price is right. The staff knows their stuff. Where else can you own a personal bottle of saki for each visit? The atmosphere is good, but gets packed on the weekend, weekdays are much more comfortable. Sushi Den is a 10 in my book. Pros: Food, Atmosphere Cons: Crowded, Parking more

Expensive, but The Best Sushi in Denver 5/23/2002

Awesome food, great service, interesting atmosphere...a bit pricey, but well worth it! more
