I been to this place three times, I like the sushi a lot, cause I never been eating sushi before, my buddy he's in real estate. So he goes here like 3-4 times a week!! The atmos...

A Den alright 5/30/2003

Sushi Den is an enigma. For the see and be seen scene, it's the piscine. Competent sushi and a pretty fun atmosphere make it enjoyable, but there's such an air of pretense that it creeps into your meal. When money and time are not an object, the Den is great. When either are tight, there are many better choices. See my other reviews. Pros: decor, crowd, eye candy factor Cons: crowdedness, wait, value/price more

Great sushi, icky atmosphere 5/28/2003

Full of makeupy corporate secerateries parading as high society. The sushi is wonderful. The crowd stinks. Leave your cell phones, suits and lipstick at home and just enjoy the good sushi. Pros: sushi Cons: atmosphere more

I love to be seen here. 3/15/2003

Another one of my ""fav's"" is the ""Den"". My elite friends and I love to chitty-chat sipping a Cosmo. I can""t smoke cloves in here, but that's o.k., they don't go well with the finest ""raw"" in town anyway. If you want to ""Get out and see the pretty people""...Hello... we're over here!!! I have never been disappointed with anything on their fine menu. Besides, they let me park my Beemer right outside the front door where I can see people stare and wish it was theirs. I love the ""Den"". Pros: Fresh daily fish, great drinks, front row parking Cons: no smoking, poor cell reception, not enough rich men more

Fancy Place, Good Sushi, Pricey 2/14/2003

We got there a little before 10pm on a Thursday night and it was still quite busy. The sushi was good, but I think its popularity has more to do with what a trendy little place it is. However, you will pay for that ""being in"" feeling. Also, we had to flag down a server, but once we finally did we got good service. Pros: atmosphere, food Cons: price more

Amazing!!! 2/11/2003

I have eaten Sushi all over the West Coast and everytime I come to Denver, Sushi Den is on top of my agenda. Hands down the best Sushi in Denver! more

best sushi in Denver 2/9/2003

I jsut moved here from Chicago and this is the best sushi I have ever eaten. It is clear, if you know sushi, that this is the top of the line and freash. Nothing compares more

A must in Denver 2/6/2003

I have lived all over the country and this place offers the freshest fish. You haven't expreienced fresh, ""real sushi"" unitl you have visited Sushi Den.. A real trea!! There will be a wait, but it is worth it! more

Sushi on the Rocks 2/6/2003

This place rocks! I am very picky about Sushi and this place meets all the criteria. Great service , Great waitstaff and great Sushi. A very fun place to go on Thursday night! Pros: service, valet, sushi more

It's a little raw but it's number 1 1/24/2003

Youll wait to be seated, the drinks arent worth it, some of the waters/waitresses leave a little to be desired, its pricey and its worth it Hands down the best Sushi in CO. more

One of the best sushi places in town 1/13/2003

Sushi Den is definately one of the best sushi restaurants in town. Although the decor is attractive, it is very creammed with very little space to feel comfortable. The food though does make up for it! more

Place to be seen - not to eat 1/8/2003

The ""Den"" is much more a place to be seen and pay high prices for sushi than it is a ""great sushi"" reastaurant. I agree that the fish is fresh and beautifully prepared, but I don't need to wait behind a vew dozen yuppies and elites to eat good sushi. Go to Kenny's [Sonoda's] (Denver sushiphyles will know which place I'm galking about) same great fish, same presentations, real people, good service. Pros: Fresh, Clean, Tasty Cons: Yuppies, Yuppies, Social Climbers more

Great sushi 11/27/2002

I haven't had the opportunity (or the finances) to try every sushi joint in town, but of the lot I've been to, Sushi Den is easily the best in my book because of the quality of the fish and the selection. They have some of the more exotic fish, unlike the typical sushi joint in Denver. Some people have said that its the place to be seen, and some have disdained its yuppiness. The only thing that draws me to this place is fresh sushi, and fresh sushi is what I get. A friend of mine did get less than fresh once, so I guess it does happen occasionally. Sake selection is pretty good (not as extensive as say Domo's), but they don't have a great many rolls (like Banzai). They do have non-sushi menu items, and the few I've tried have been very good. Pros: Fresh fish, Reasonable prices Cons: Crowded, Inadequate parking, Service varies more

Best Sushi around 11/26/2002

Actually, Sushi Den has some of the best sushi in the US (perhaps THE best). It is flown in 3 times a week from fisheries in Japan and is as fresh as it gets. You waited so long precisely BECAUSE it's so good. more

Sushi Den = Yuppies 11/14/2002

Sushi Den doesn't have good sushi. It is an overpriced sushi restaurant to be seen at by other yuppies. Pros: clean Cons: over priced, bad service, bad sushi more

Be Prepared to wait... 11/11/2002

Wait all 3 visits was 30 minutes +. Sushi chefs unfriendly. Cons: crowded, expensive, unfriendly chefs more

how to find you. 11/5/2002

Please fix your website...I use citysearch for all my dining...where did you go? The sushi is fantastic and your waiters are so friendly.... more

Best Sushi in Denver! 10/30/2002

Best Sushi in Denver! My favorite is the Avocado-Eel roll...simply delightful! I love the atmosphere and the food always tastes so much fresher than other sushi restaurants I have been to. I only wish they had a website so I could savor over the menu before I show up! more

where is your website? 10/27/2002

I love this place and recomended it to an out of state friend who is coming to Denver for a business meeting. He is entertaining 8 vendors and tried to check out the website before making the reservations...It is NOT working! I called the restaurant and left a message.... more

the shake melts in your mouth 10/23/2002

best sushi in denver, the service is lacking but the fish makes up for it more

sublime simplicity 10/19/2002

Spacious and inviting atmosphere, traditional and innovative sushi combinations, fresh fresh fresh (a rare find in Denver). Artistic without being quirky. Bravo! more
