I will definitely go back! Had an appointment for a remote starter at Sun & Sound and was told to leave it for half a day because they were really busy. I got a call 2 hours later and they told me I already had a starter in my car and they could either take the old one out and install the new one or just buy a new remote and they would program it to match what was in there already. Obviously I chose the inexpensive way and bought the remote. I think it was really honest of them to let me know there was already one in there because they could have made more money off of me to just put a new one in - I had no clue there was already a remote start in there. They had wonderful service and took the extra time to show me how to use the remote. more

I highly recommend this place. These guys are the experts. They installed a remote car starter in my Nissan after several places told me it couldn't be done because I have a push start ignition. My remote car starter works great and the manager was very helpful in explaining how it works and all the extra features it can do. This place definitely seems to be the experts in the area whereas everywhere else I encountered had no idea what they were talking about. more

I had to pick up a mounting deck here for a new car stereo i purchased elsewhere that didn't have the correct mounting deck in stock. I was given an incorrect part, despite clearly stating what the year, make, and model of my car was. Not only was the part super overpriced, but it was incorrect (which I didn't notice at the time). I was pressed for time so I was unable to shop around for this part and needed it that day, to install the stereo. Found out the part was incorrect after trying to install the stereo with it and then only after noticing the packaging said it was for a different year of my car. Since they have a no refund policy, I was out of luck and stuck paying an obscene amount of money for an item that is useless to me. The encounter with the owner while trying to return this item (only noticed there were no refunds once I went all the way back to the store) was really frustrating. It was his fault I needed to return the item in the first place, since it was the wrong part. He said because the packaging was open, he couldn't take it back. I really wouldn't have been so angry if he didn't jerk me around and make me wait 20 minutes just to tell me that. He claimed that it was impossible to modify the mounting brackets (which it isn't, it's just annoying to do) and that if the stereo got installed, how could I be returning this item? He acted like I was trying to rip him off, and return a different mounting kit in the packaging because it was ""open"" and he couldn't tell if it was the same part. I found this extremely mean and rude, because the truth is he sold me an incorrect part, the person installing the stereo made due with what they had, and then I didn't need the part anymore so I wanted to return it. The whole situation was really frustrating but it was made worse with the owner's attitude and disorganization (thats what made him give me the wrong part in the first place, because there were papers EVERYWHERE). This was my only experience with this store and I will never be returning. more

Over the last 6 years I have purchases4 different roof racks as well as a bed liner and canvas cover for a pick up truck. Last summer was the first time I went back for service. There was a problem with a roof rack that Sun & Sound had installed two years earlier. When I asked the owner to fix it he took one look at the rack, told me to call the manufacturer, turned around and went back inside. I have been dealing with the manufacturer, who are based in California since. They have made some suggestions and told me to order and install parts for which I neither have the tools nor the expertise. I wasn't looking for a free repair. I was expecting Sun & Sound to take responsibility for the products they sell. They don't more

I'm the owner of a ""06"" Expedition and I recently had a problem with the wiring in my car. My lights were going in and out on the dashboard. So it was dangerous driving at night. A friend told me that they fixed that kind of stuff at Sun and Sound which i didn't know. So I went down there without an appointment or anything and I was in and out of there in an hour! My lights are working fine but I went back to look around cause their service is so great I then decided to give them my business and install a brand new Rydeen rear view camera system with GPS, bluetooth, touch screen, built in speaker, and an fm transmitter if speaker isn't loud enough(which it is)all built into the rear view mirror!!! Now I love driving my truck even at $4 a gallon!!! It's made my life is so much simpler!!! more

I am a woman and I have a 06 honda civic and I wanted a navigation unit put in so i can get to where I want to go cause i'm not good at directions so the people at sun and sound showed me different priced navigations that are easy to use and affordable but then I asked about a radio and they said they have a single unit that does both and also plays dvds in one single unit. What I liked was that they educated me on the different products which allowed me to make a decision not based on what they wanted to sell me but what would best fit my needs. So I ended up getting one of those that but it was very fairly priced. These guys are very nice and know what they're talking about regardless of what the other ""reviews' say they treated me and other customers good and in a timely fashion. When I went to go pick my car up one of the installers spent his time showing me how to use it. I would suggest this place to anybody looking to install anything in their car...and I want to say THANK YOU for treating us woman equally more

My wife purchased the remote starter from them as a Christmas gift to me on my car. Being that it came with only one remote (I later found out that this system comes with two transmitters), I called them and purchased a second transmitter for $25.00, letting them slide as I was in the Holiday Spirit. This should have been my first clue. Unfortunately I lost my transmitter this past year and decided to go back and buy a replacement transmitter today. Well, I was told that the new unit would cost me $69.00!! I said thank you, grabbed my keys and walked away. I did some research and found the transmitter for $14.99 with shipping included, brand new and with the instructions on how to set it to your starter! I understand that there must be some profit margin to pay for the overhead, but first they sold me back my ""stole property"", and finally tried to rip me off on my recent visit Sadly they are still in business and people should be aware of their selling schemes. Please do your research before you do business with these people, you can avoid many headaches. more

My husband bought me a gps from them for Christmas. When I researched the item on the internet I learned they charged him twice as much for it as it was worth. It was also an outdated model. When I went there to return it the owner tells me they take no returns. The sign in the store says no returns on electrical parts, I assumed that meant parts they installed in your car. This item had never been plugged in and was in the same packaging as when it was bought. He said there is a phone number in the box if there is something wrong with it. I told him there was nothing wrong, we never even tried it. I told him I was returning it because it was a rip off. He said too bad my husband should have realized that before he bought it. He was extremely rude and arrogant. After he told me that he just started taking phone calls and ignoring me until I left. I would thing long and hard before you buy anything from them, do your research first. Walmart customer service has it over this guy hands down. Pros: None, unless you like being talked to like you're an idiot. Cons: They take no returns. more

NEVER go to Sun n' Sound! I like to support local business, but that guy's just a jerk. I told him I had a dentist appointment at 2:15 and needed my car to be done by 2:00. He said it would be done. I show up at 5 past 2, and the guy says it'll be ""at least another hour."" So I call him an hour later, at 3:30 and he says ""about ten minutes."" So I go down there, and it still isn't done! So I say to him, you said 2:00 and it's an hour and a half late. He says, ""we can either have a good attitude about this or a bad one,"" and ""things don't always go the way you want."" No kidding! He makes the remark, ""If it was easy, everyone would be doing it."" So I said yeah, it's pretty hard to call someone and tell them you're going to be late. So he says I could have called him!!! There was an other couple in the store who were told to come in at 1, and they were till there when I left at 4:30, 2 and a half hours late. Not only that, but as I'm driving home I notice that there's a big gap between the dash and the A pillar, and there are screws in my cupholders his people forgot to put back! Poor attitude, poor service, and less-than-great work quality. Cons: Once they have your money, you don't matter. more

NOT TRUSTWORTHY!!! I received a gift certificate for a car starter and was told to call and schedule an installation. I called four different times, leaving four messages and never once got so much as a return call back. I went directly to Sun and Sound (where I waited for fifteen minutes before being helped). When I explained I wanted a refund since their gift certificate was useless to me if it could not be redeemed, the individual was rude, unprofessional and demeaning. He was not the least bit apologetic (which would have resolved the issue right then) but instead chuckled and said ""sorry about your personal problems hon"". more

I had a remote start, keyless entry, and alarm done on my 2000 Jetta. They were the only place that seemed confortable to do it. Everyone else said it couldn't be done because it was a 5-speed but Sun N Sound put a compustar 2-way in and the thing works great. I went back and had them do everything else to my car, chip intake exhaust body kit sound system neon, the place is great!!! more
