Most crooked store on EARTH! 8/21/2015

Had carpet put in my bathroom. They showed up 7 hours late. After finishing the job they lied about putting carpet under the transitional piece, took for ever to get them back out to redo the carpet and they chopped it all around the edges, then they sent a guy out to redo but he only came in and looked and then he said nothing to me and took off in a hurry and even ran the UPS guy off the side of my drive way. 45 minutes later I had to call them and they said they would call me back after checking why he left. Nope no call I had to call them again and they said nothing we can do about it we will stop by the next day and give you your money back. You got it .. NO Check..again I called and they were waiting for me and told me the check was in the MAIL, hmmm heard that before, so when I asked them where the guy with the check was this AM he hung up on me. So I called back and told them I will dispute the bill he scream "don't call here again" and hung up again. well folks if you do business with these OUTLAWS don't say you weren't warned. Metro Cuise this weekend great time to give bad pubicity to them. BEWARE! more

poor customer service 5/9/2015

Price was Great. Three weeks after I had the carpet installed I could see all the seams. I called to talk to someone about this and was told they don't guarantee the seams, He asked was it coming apart, if not what's the problem(the seams are showing) Wow. You would think they would have at least offered to send someone out to look at the problem. Poor customer service. I have made many purchases from Sullivans but this will indeed be my last. more

Terrible customer service!! 7/25/2013

After standing there for 15 minutes, I had 2 sales associates look me in my eyes, walk right past me, and not even acknowledge that I was there. I would be absolutely fine had someone said "I'm with another customer, but I'll be with you as soon as possible." I wasn't in a hurry, I would've waited just for that small courtesy. I walked out. It's their loss, I need carpet for a 1920 sq ft home. I'd rather pay more money to someone who knows how to treat customers. Perhaps they didn't want my business in the first place. more

Just Say No..... 5/19/2010

I went to Sullivan's thinking it is good to support our local businesses. The salesman assured me that the "sale" price was going to end anyday and I had to sign a contract to get the price. I was not comfortable with the high pressure and I asked for a quote without the sales price as I was willing to spend the extra money if I had the time to decide. He WOULD NOT give me a quote at the “normal” price. I asked for a sample to ensure it would go with my paint. Once again that could not be supplied. I offered to put down a 100 dollar deposit that would be non-fundable if I changed my mind, he agreed. I wrote this in on the bottom of the contract. 3-4 days after this, I called and told him I wished to cancel my order. I had had the chance to go to several other carpet dealer and they were ALL willing to give samples and let me evaluate the products in my home. Now more that two month's later I have been billed for the carpet that was never installed and I have been told it is cut and ready for install......even though I talked to both the carpet salesman and the solid surface salesman and told them I did not want their product or to do business with them due to their high pressure sales technique and their inability to follow up with the measurement and quote on my solid surface materials. I was very disappointed by my dealing while I was in the store and I am disgusted now that I am going to have to work with a lawyer and the BBB, because I was not able to just say no and walk away. I thought the agreement to forfeit 100 dollars was fair as it would cover their time and effort to complete the measurements. I have since found out that many carpet dealers do the measurements for free as well. I have also since found out the price for the “sale” carpet was double the cost of a very similar carpet I did have installed. So as I said…just say no, don’t even go into the store unless you have already done all your shopping, and you know enough about carpets not to get forced into a poor decision. more

Customer Service from Owner of Sullivans 11/18/2009

Called because of a concern that I had about the matting of my bedroom carpet (1 week old). Owner said there isn't anything wrong with the carpet, and would not send anyone out to look at it. In a loud tone of voice, the owner also said that the carpeting was a good quality carpet and never had any complaints before, and recommended that I come back and purchase a rake for $12 to help with the matting, and hung up the phone. The reason that I purchased the carpeting from Sullivan's Carpet was because of the store being family owned, and that customer service was promised at time of purchase. A little too eager of salesmen 11/28/2005

I like shopping at Sullivan's Carpet & Fruniture for carpet remnants because they carry so many! They have so many colors, sizes, and textures to choose from. What I didn't like were the salesmen hawking over us at our every move. We told them more than once that we would find them if we had a question, but they kept following us, lurking around every corner. We did end up buying our carpet there because of the great prices, but would have enjoyed a little space while shopping. more
