What does it mean when you make an appt for service? 8/30/2015

I think the dealership should understand when a customer makes an appointment for service it's because they have other things they want to accomplish later in the day. I brought my car in at 10 am for what was suppose to be 2 hr service job. I found out that an item that was suppose to be done on my car the last time I brought it in was not done, so it was going to be a 3 hr job now. I ended up not getting my car back to me till 5:30 pm. I was able to get a ride home and I never received a phone call saying my car was not going to be ready at 4pm as expected. I returned to the dealership at 4pm and had to wait another 1 and a half before it was done. Not good customer service. I think someone from the dealership should have called me to let me know the car was going to take longer. more

Concerned Service Results 8/21/2015

I was not happy with the last service, very disappointed. The other times I brought my car in for service, they always vacuum and car wash. This time it was not done but my main complaint was the service I received after purchasing my tires. I bought 4 new tires spend almost $500 and the tires were filthy dirty. On my way home Friday 7th, I was driving at 75 + miles on freeway and the steering wheels started shaking/vibration feel. I called up Saturday and spoke to the advisor and explained the problem to him, he told me to bring it in that monday anytime. I came in Monday before 11am and the advisor at the time told me it's probably balancing issue so should be done around 1:30pm. I waited for the call and never got a call, I had to call the office and asked if my car was done and he said no but should be done by 4pm. I got there at 4pm and he told me they had found 2 nails and that's probaby what's causing the problem so he told me to wait while they're finishing up the car. So i waited in the waiting room for about 45 mins. and he came in said my car was ready and gave me my paperwork and walked out there and I was wondering where my car was parked. He told me it was right there pointing at a black car, i said that's not my car so he said oh. let me check and came back a few minutes later and told me that the information given was for someone else. At this time it was 5pm and he told me they haven't worked on my car so it'll take another 30 min. so i waited in the waiting room and finally came in around 5:50pm and told me it was done that my car just needed a balance and that there was no nail it was on another car. So he gave me my keys and I asked if he wanted the paperwork back since it was for the black car and he said no, don't need it. So at this point it was 6pm I wanted to get out of there and didn't even get the correct paperwork. It was a mess, very disorganized and lack of communication. He's apology was, he was sorry and that they were short staffed. more

all day wait for 9am service 8/21/2015

I hate to say this but service sucks. I left car for simple oil change service and thinking to take shuttle. It took 1:30 hour for shuttle to come back. It is supposed to be local delivery. Before I jumped onto shuttle, I checked if they already finished the service. I was told another 1h (not sure why), 11:30 so decided to go home for breakfast. I called them back 1pm, I was told car is not ready, and they will call back. 4pm was what was reported for a simple oil change, and I did not hear back until 6pm. They said I needed to replace tail lights and will be done shortly. I asked shuttle to pick me again, and I was given 1h timeline. I will not use this service unless I need to. I still have some coupons to finish, but avoid this place at all cost. I bought the car from here, and they were nice until you get attached. more

I scheduled an appointment with a 1 week notice. It took them 3-5 minutes to acknowledge I had arrived and that was only after I flagged down the receptionist and asked her to get a technician. Once in the office, I had to wait for another 5 minutes until Eric was available. After that, I explained some items that needed attention on the vehicle. I had to explain everything about three times to Eric. Finally, things seemed to be in order and as I walked out of the office he said, I'll have it ready by 5PM. I thought he was joking. Why would I make an appointment for an oil change so I could wait 4 hours for my car? I come back at 3pm to check on it, he says it will be ready by 4pm. Around 4:05 PM I'm called to the office. They advise they couldn't complete all the recalls because they didn't have the parts, but they fixed everything else. I paid $71+ got into my car and the error codes for low tire pressure was still going off. I immediately walked in and advised this, he told me just drive a few miles and they will come off. I drove a few miles and all came off, but one. Why couldn't a technician drive the car a few miles to insure their job was done right the first time? I paid $30 for a tire rotation which is astronomical and they couldn't even bother to check their work? The car wasn't washed or vacuumed. When I called back to the office upon returning home, I explain my issues with Eric. On top of it all, they didn't put a sticker on my car so I know when to come back for my next oil change. When asked how Eric would like to fix it, he advised I needed to come back in. He didn't offer an apology or a credit for poor workmanship or the waste of my time. His solution for the poor service I was given was to take out more of my time, losing more of my work day so that they could do their job completely???? How does that make any sense? I don't think that I should be the one that has to fix these issues by losing more time in my day. Four hours for an oil change and tire rotation??? And the tires still aren't right, no sticker to remind me of when to come back, no car wash or vacuum. He told me that they can't wash cars anymore because of the drought. I can appreciate that, but he should have started with that information so my expectations were accurate. Part of the reason why I will pay $40 for an oil change is because the cleaning is included...without the cleaning, there is NO VALUE in using Hyundai. Sadly, I use to tell everyone that Hyundai's service is amazing....in this past year each time I have been disappointed. You've lost a loyal customer. more

What is the point of making an appointment when it takes more than 4 hours to fo an oil change and service department doesnt honour their timetable?? Had a 1145am appointment, showed up on time. Was told it would take approximately 1.5-2 hours for the oil change. I came back 2 hours later, my car still had not gone into service!!! Only one person working at service desk, he told me it would be another 2 hours!! He was understaffed, but a phone call to let me know that the service would take longer than expected would have been appreciated. more

I would not recommend this dealership to an enemy let alone a friend. After being told my oil change and tire rotation would be one and half to two hours it took three and half hours. I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance so I would not have to wait around and they did not even begin working on my vehicle until 2 hours after I had been on site. Finally they told me they were really busy, however I had been waiting outside and watching the mechanics as they loafed around the lot. I was told my rear brakes had worn down, not my front brakes(odd) and that I could have them replaced for $249 if I wanted to wait another hour or so. I told them no and proceeded to check out only to find that they were running a brake special of $199 that they did not offer to me. This dealership has damaged my vehicle, had my vehicle repaired for the same item 8 times and still doesn't offer promotions to all customers. I like my car but I regret ever buying it from Steven's Creek Hyundai. The only thing I can say nice about this dealership is they are polite in the Service Department I just wish they were better at service. more

Terrible. Was told I was going to be put on hold, but then forwarded to someone else's voicemail. Had to make appointment over internet. Slow, service to boot. Another customer had similar complaint while I was there. more
