Love this place! I took my Dad for his 77th birthday because I thought he'd love their Ramos Fizz and their food. The staff couldn't have been better, more accommodating, or helpf...

Awesome food, service, and decor!!!!!! 8/11/2006

I've been twice now and the food is amazing!! I went with a my girlfriends for brunch and we all shared our entrees- the french toast is to die for!!! It is cooked with a vanilla ice cream coating and served with homemade maple syrup. We also order the lox, which had very fresh salmon. Not very ""brunch-like"" but we also got the cubano sandwich, which was extremely tasty. I've also gone for drinks and appetizers- the garlic shrimp came out sizzling and perfectly seasoned. The servers are all extremely friendly and prompt and the decor is fun, but comfortable. I will definitely go back often and have told everyone about it! more

mothers day brunch was the best 8/10/2006

I took my mother to Steuben's yesterday for brunch. It was very busy, but the service and food was still wonderful. IAt did take a few minutes to get our food, but the whole restaurant was full, so it's understandable. They brought out a mimosa for my mom too, that was a nice touch. I have been there a few times, but will be back often now. Pros: wonderful service Cons: very busy so plan ahead more

Best comfort food, great environment, amazing vibe! 8/10/2006

Steuben's in Uptown is a much anticipated (and needed) addition to the neighborhood. Favorites include the Cubano sandwich, the lobsterroll, and the Steuben's fries. The service is friendly and knowledgeable, and the aptmosphere is very comfortable. This is a great place to grab a quick lunch or have a fantastic dinner. Pros: Aptmosphere, food, service more

pathetic 8/9/2006

The following is a recap of our second dining experience at Steuben's. The first time we dined, the food was very average (I had the pork chop special and my fiance had the braised short rib). We wanted to give it a second chance as i really wanted to try the BBQ Brisket (they were out of it both nights).....\r \r Chinese ribs: skimpy meat that was fatty and tough. Lobster Bisque: Disgusting! I took one spoonful and sent it back. It was watery and had an overwhelming lemon flavor, YUKKO. Green Chili (recommend by the waitress as a replacement for the bisque she told me that it was spicy): pathetically bland and flavorless, the equivalent of canned soup. Monte Crist: too greasy as a result of it not being fried correctly. Meatballs: I say they were 80% bread and filler and 20% meat. Chocolate Cake: they needed to let the cake thaw from the freezer a little longer, the chocolate cake at Safeway is actually better. Vanilla Shake: I think they used iced, powdered milk, and powdered vanilla...who uses ice in a milkshake???? The vanilla shakes at McDonalds are better Pros: decor is cool, staff was friendly Cons: food, value more
