The following is a recap of our second dining experience at Steuben's. The first time we dined, the food was very average (I had the pork chop special and my fiance had the braised short rib). We wanted to give it a second chance as i really wanted to try the BBQ Brisket (they were out of it both nights).....\r

Chinese ribs: skimpy meat that was fatty and tough. Lobster Bisque: Disgusting! I took one spoonful and sent it back. It was watery and had an overwhelming lemon flavor, YUKKO. Green Chili (recommend by the waitress as a replacement for the bisque she told me that it was spicy): pathetically bland and flavorless, the equivalent of canned soup. Monte Crist: too greasy as a result of it not being fried correctly. Meatballs: I say they were 80% bread and filler and 20% meat. Chocolate Cake: they needed to let the cake thaw from the freezer a little longer, the chocolate cake at Safeway is actually better. Vanilla Shake: I think they used iced, powdered milk, and powdered vanilla...who uses ice in a milkshake???? The vanilla shakes at McDonalds are better
Pros: decor is cool, staff was friendly
Cons: food, value
