Wow Wow I am a Starr House client for life 1/17/2006

I found this salon through this website and thought with this many review I would try it. Wow is all I can say. I had Hilites done with Andrea and I have never ever had such a natural looking hilite ever. Not only are they the color my hair was as a child but they have shine and look healthy. Wow and Chrisitna cut my hair and I feel like a new person. This salon is on my list of amazing places. Spread the word!!! more

a gem outside of LA proper 1/10/2006

Cool, funky, neon-swathed salon tucked away in downtown San Marino. No pretentious LA vibe here, just nice, creative folks. Chris chopped 5 inches off and I love it. Cost for my cut was $75. Great referral benefits. Would definitely go again. more

Best in Pasadena 1/8/2006

and all of Los Angeles is Starr Salon. The color is perfection, the cut and styling passes the ""can I get this look at home test"". The staff is professional yet friendly. I highly recommend this salon. more

THIS SALON RULES! 12/14/2005

I had an appointment at the Star House yesterday, I went because the reviews for this salon were amongst the top, now I know why. They truly are the best in town. Being this was my first visit, both Andrea and Chris sat down with me asking questions about the look I wanted. After a consultation, and recommendations, Andrea colored my hair. Andrea has a great personality and is friendly and fun to talk to. The color was fabulous, it was everything I was looking for. My cut and style was with Chris, he's Fantastic and does a superb cut and style. I looked like I had stepped out of a magazine when I was done. This place really is the best, and will I continue to go here & HIGHLY recommend it! Pros: latest trends & style, Friendly! more

While i haven't yet had my color done by andrea, i did have a consultation with both andrea and chris to great satisfaction. Chris has been cutting my hair for a year (and i change it often) ive followed him to Starr House because i am AR about my hair and chris actually listens to what i want and executes my cut exactly like i envisioned. And i must admit i have seen Karen to have my chest waxed and she made me feel completely comfortable in her waxing room and assured me that im not the only man she works on. Its nice to go somewhere and have everything done at the same time hair, waxing and manicures! more

They have it just RIGHT! 9/8/2005

The owners Andrea and Karen both work in the salon and I have had services done by them. They have an incredibly friendly atmosphere, and an amazingly skilled staff. Karen waxed my legs and we had such a great chat I forgot I was being waxed! Andrea did an amazing job on my color, I am thrilled. I am not surprised these girls are taking this salon which they have owned for just over a year to greater places. They run a professional set up but is is fun and efficient. Well done to them! MUST GO!! 7/27/2005

This salon is the greatest! Andrea is fabulous and Chris is the greatest. This place does a free consultation, and they are very well informed about their stuff. Plus, Andrea truly is the BEST COLORIST around. They know what you want, and they deliver. When they say SATISFACTION GUARANTEED, they weren't exaggerating. In addition, the entire staff has excellent customer service and are all so warm and friendly. Don't waste your time going anywhere else--Starr House is HEAVEN ON EARTH!! You won't be disappointed... Good Bye West Side!!! 7/21/2005

I have travelled to the west side for too long and fought with traffic and parking issues. I read about Starr House a few months ago and decided to try it out. What can I say, my hilights done by Andrea have never looked so great and Chris has cut and styled my hair beautifully, finally I look the way I have been longing for. These guys came from DC and LA so they have a lot of experience and do amazing work and on your doorstep! Even though they are getting very popular, they always have enough time to schedule you and even make time by staying later, its amazing, they are so fabulous, trust me you'll love it! Wow great results... 6/8/2005

A friend told me to go to this salon and try Andrea and Chris. I needed really good hilites and a really good cut. I was pleased to find that I got both. The parking is free I got 10 dollars off my first visit and a free make up touch up by Karen who created her own make up line for the salon. I bought a lip gel and have been really thrilled. This place is a real find a worth the rather long drive to get there. Pros: great prices, easy parking, great location Cons: didn't find any more

Wow What a place 6/8/2005

I read about this place online and went in to try it out. I was amazed at Andrea the colorist and more to the point loved my hair. Her cutter Chris is also amazing. I can't say enough about this place...you have to try it... more
