Kenny Bunch and his team were most helpful. My beloved Subaru Outback had been totalled in a wreck(not my fault!), and they helped me find the perfect replacement. What could have been a very painful buying experience instead was pleasant, efficient and friendly. The new car is in great shape,runs like a charm, and is just like my old one. Kenny and his team worked really well with my insurance company, which made everything so easy. Thank you Spradley Barr! more

experience would have been a lot better if the staff in that department had what I call ""True Customer Service"". Best Deal 7/25/2011

First, I have to point out that I am very hard headed. In visiting car dealerships in the past, I have been constantly pushed by sales people to buy cars or trucks from them. They tell me ""We have the best deals so what can we do to get you into a new car today"". This is one of my biggest pet-peeves. Let me take my time and when I am ready to buy, I'll buy on my terms. When I visited Spradley Barr Mazda in Fort Collins, I brought with me the attitude that everything will be on my terms. Upon first arrival, the flock of sales personnel came in attack mode. Kenny Bunch was the first one who reached me and instantly started to get to know my wife and I. This approach was something that caught me off guard, but openned me up a lot faster. Once Kenny and I were on a personal level, to were I felt like I was talking more to a friend than a sales person, he and I were able to work very well together in finding a vehicle for me. I did not buy from him on the first day because I wanted to look at the market a little more. He was more than supportive and said that if I found a car that I liked to give him a call and see what he could work out. This is exactly what happend. I found a car at another dealership that I liked and instantly thought of Kenny. The sales people at the other dealership were typical to my description above which turned me a blind eye to them. I called Kenny to see what he could to for me. A few hours later he called me back with the information on the same vehicle with less miles and more amenities. I had actually been working with a dealership in Broomfield for a 2010 Mazda Miata. However, they did not have the color I preferred - said it was unavailable unless I wanted to wait for the new 2011-year vehicle, and then tried to pressure me into a vehicle I did not want. I got in touch with Spradley-Barr by Internet and started working with Kenny Bunch. I told him what I was looking for, and he actually took the time to find it. Most dealerships want you to buy from their lot inventory. Kenny had my Miata shipped out and it got here faster than expected. The delivery of the vehicle took a little longer than I expected for a cash deal, however, I did appreciate Kenny taking the time to go over all the details of the Miata - he is very professional and personable. more

Kenny was excellent. Not only did he go out of his way to find a car that would work, he found me a car that I absolutely love. He had everything set up and pretty much ready to go for us when we came in. He is excellent at what he does. He tested me to find out what I really wanted and then found me the perfect car. Michael was able to sell me the truck for a fair price and provided a complete and accurate information about the truck. He also ordered a key for the wheel locks and shipped it to me when it arrived and I was out of state. more

Always pleasent 6/23/2011

Puchasing a new vehicle has not always been a pleasant experience for us. Typically, the process has been very time consuming and frustrating. After the test drive, the negotiations begin, and all too often it appears that the dealer's tactic is to wear the customer down until the customer gives in. (Price given, then a counter offer, then talk to the sales manager, etc. etc.) Our recent experience with Spradley Barr was relatively pleasant. We knew what we wanted and had a very good idea as to what our trade was worth, so there was very little back and forth. We made what we thought was a fair offer and the sales representative (Kenny Bunch) listened . We did not have to haggle. One adjustment was made to the trade-in value, and we had an agreement. This left us with a very positive feeling about Kenny and the sales team as well as with Spradley Barr in Fort Collins. more

Very helpful 6/20/2011

My wife and I initially worked with David Anderson, a young man in his first week as a car salesman and a recent transplant from the Detroit area. He asked us which Mazda we were interested in, down to model number, color and accessories, and he went to the lot and found a car that was exactly what we had in mind. David was very personable and very helpful during the test drive of a 2011 CX-9 Touring, although he himself admitted that he was not as knowledgeable about all the details of the car as he himself would like. Since we had done a lot of research prior to the test drive, that was not a problem. We really liked this young man, and we thought he represented Spradley Barr very well. His low-key approach and very friendly nature gave us a good feeling about working with this dealership. more

Made an "internet" purchase of a Mazda3... Not all that interested in all the extra "selling" that dealers typically do so I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to get in, get the deal done, and get out. There was a little "dealer talk" to get me to purchase that night but I had done my research and was not offended by this. Overall I'd say this was a good purchase experience (even the financing department was decent) and I would recommend! more

Exactly What I Wanted 6/10/2011

Michael Cohn and the dealership in general were absolutely wonderful to me while I was shopping for a car. I needed to buy a used car and had limited funds. I had also researched cars I was interested in, prices, etc, and Michael was so efficient and helpful, not wasting time with the typical sales pitches, getting right to the cars he knew I was interested in and could afford. He was determined to get me into a decent car for the price and he went above and beyond what I would expect and what I had ever experienced from a car sales person or dealership. A couple of times Michael was helping another customer when I arrived, and rather than have me sit and wait, he asked another associate or manager to help me with whatever step we were processing. Each employee or manager that I came in contact with were very helpful and friendly. Michael really made this often-stressful chore easier and more pleasant than I could imagine possible. I would recommend contacting Michael Cohn and the Spradley-Barr dealership before even talking to anyone else, when shopping for an auto. They gave me a whole new perspective of car salesmen and dealerships. Thanks, Michael, for finding a car that was exactly what I wanted ! more

Truly Wonderful 6/6/2011

Both of the salesman I worked with directly were truly wonderful. They both left me with the impression that they not only valued me as a customer, but they also honestly seemed to care about aiding me in purchasing a car, despite my challenging financial situation at the time. I was recommended to the dealership by two co-workers who made purchases fairly recently. After my excellent experiences (e.g the "search", the purchase, and working with the service department), I truly understand why they recommended Spradley Barr so highly. I will, of course, do the same.. Extra "kudos" to Kenny Bunch, he was an absolute pleasure to work with. more

Kenny did a great job and I felt I had made a new fried by the end of my purchase The only negative thing I can say is that the dealership only had two finance people working and it took 2-3 hours for all of the customers to be taken care of and I had to go to a different shop to get the finance done instead of the location I purchased the Truck. more

My husband and I were looking for a new 2010 Mazda3 hatchback in Celestial Blue for our 18-year-old son who will be going off to college in a few months. I wanted a reliable, safe car for him more than anything else. We started our search in Colorado Springs where we live, and the customer service at Bob Penkhus was terrible. The salesman was indifferent to us and almost rude on occasion. They gave us a car to test drive that was dirty, low tire pressure, and on empty. We said "no thanks" and looked elsewhere. I did an internet search for the car and found Spradley Barr had one. I initiated contact through e-mail, and we had purchased our new car within 24 hours. The process was wonderful, and I really felt like they valued our business. That's the way I like to be treated when I am spending twenty thousand dollars! I will recommend this dealership in a heartbeat, and I have already done so twice already. We will be looking for another new car in a couple of years for my husband, and I already know we will be starting with Spradley Barr. Sam and Shawn were fantastic! more
