WOW!! What an amazing place all around in every aspect from food and beer selection to amazing service. I find their beer selection to be very well organized and easy to follow. They do a great job in educating you on the different styles of beer throughout the beer guide. \r They have a very nice variety of food to offer. The Ostrich Filet is by far the best I have ever tasted anywhere! My husband had the Shrimp, Crab, and Mushroom Augratin which was delicious as well. \r Service was very attentive, welcoming and warming! I would definitly reccomend The Spinnerstown Hotel to anyone! I just found out they have half priced bottles of wine on Wednesdays. Can't wait to visit again!!!! more

This is such an amazing place! The service is excellent and the beer and food is delicious! My friends and I love to get together at the Spinnerstown. They have one of the BEST beer menus I have ever seen and their staff is extremely knowledgeable many of them - if they are unsure someone in that place knows! Great at suggesting new beers and I love them all! Food wise - you can tell time and effort has been put in. Never a dull dish! I would recommend this place to anyone! If you live far away it is worth the drive! there are many hotels near by too! make it a weekend! :) more

Had an awesome experience! The menu has something for everyone and the service is great. Their bottled beer selection is amazing! If you like beer, this is the place. Over 300 bottles to choose from and their drafts change weekly. We were in on a Wednesday and learned that every Wednesday is half priced bottles of wine, as well. If you're going to eat here, come hungry. Their portion sizes vs. prices make for a great value! I would highly recommend The Spinnerstown Hotel :) more

This is a long review and if you don't want to read the whole thing I'll summarize: Great food, amazing beer selection, friendly and welcoming service. Confusing layout but easy to get around if you look for signs which are posted everywhere. And don't expect to waltz in on a weekend and get a table without waiting. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation.\r \r A few friends have been telling me to check this place out since I'm a big fan of micro brews and Belgian beers, so being that this weekend they had a Dogfish Head event I decided to finally stop in. \r \r Well it was our first time there so I was a little confused by the layout of the building. We went in through the back near the parking lot and I was impressed by the outdoor seating. The deck is beautiful and covered and even though it was oppressively hot outside I thought we would sit out there since there were fans on the ceiling. There were a few people sitting out there and we roamed around looking for a table... but they all had reserved signs on them! I guess that's a pretty good sign about the popularity of the place. There were two entrances and I wasn't sure which one to use, but thankfully there was a sign on one of the doors stating that it was for employee use only. The door that we were supposed to use lead into the bar area and it was packed, but not obnoxiously loud. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, but I found the smell of the pack of men who had obviously been golfing recently to be a bit offensive, so we wandered around a bit till we saw a sign indicating the host desk. The host was pleasant but told us there was a 45 minute wait, which makes sense for a Saturday night with a Dogfish Head event going on. So we put in our names and headed back out to the bar.\r \r I was so excited and overwhelmed by the beer selection! They have a book filled with bottled selections and a large list of draft beers. Surprisingly there were a lot of Dogfish Head beers on tap that I haven't had before. I decided to go with a flight, which is four choices of draft beers that came in a cool caddy with small paper indicating which one was which. Those golfers I mentioned earlier kinda ruined the bar experience for me, and I'm aware that it was no fault of the restaurant at all. They were smelly and obnoxious and they seemed to be quite upset about the fact that they couldn't sit outside on the deck... indicating to each other over and over again about how no one was sitting out there and that it didn't make sense that they couldn't. I wanted to tell them that they were obviously reserved, but my boyfriend told me to keep my mouth shut! Haha, he's right of course, but they were annoying. \r \r The menu was huge and a bit overwhelming but our server was helpful in navigating through it. I ordered the Irish Onion soup which is their version of French Onion. It's Irish because they use Irish whiskey and stout beer, and it was seriously the best version I've ever had. Then we shared the Belgian mussels which came in a large covered pot with a side of frites (which are the Belgian version of fries) for dipping in the sauce. I also had a caprese salad from the specials list. It was very fresh and a perfect portion considering all the mussels and soup I just had. \r \r For dessert we shared the peach pie which our server recommended, and I will definitely be back for that. Apparently it's their specialty and you can order a whole pie of it for take out if you call ahead of time.\r \r Overall our experience was great. The server was attentive and friendly, the decor and cleanliness of the place was perfect right down to bathrooms, and the food and atmosphere was perfect. If you visit this place I would advise that you make a reservation and give yourself some time to enjoy the place, also if you get as confused about the layout as I was just keep an eye out for signs and ask the friendly staff for directions. more

I discovered the Spinnerstown Hotel before I discovered Yelp, so I was not affected by, but recently surprised to see the harsh ratings of the previous reviewers. I first visited Spinnerstown Hotel six months ago because I was referred by the local Comfort Inn. I was so delighted, I have dined here each time (3) I have returned to this Comfort Inn. The restaurant is set in a lovely garden surrounded by ample and convenient parking. It is immaculate inside and out. The tables are set formally with tablecloths. The music is tasteful and played softly, barely noticeable, as I like it, so it is a good place to dine and talk with friends or family (or to read a book in my case, as an out of town visitor). The cuisine is unique and the presentation is very tasteful. The first visit, I had a delicious beef pot pie, which was on special. Last night, I had oriental scallops with rice and a sweet sauce. Krista, who waited my table, was a delightful young lady. My every visit has been pleasant and I plan to return. I can find no basis for downgrading Spinnerstown Hotel from a full five stars. more

Fantastic restaurant! I have been there many times and it is consistently good, fresh food. I have some food allergies and they are EXCELLENT in checking on all the ingredients in different dishes and dressings. One of my top three restaurants in the area. more

Spinnerstown Hotel has it going on! The food and atmosphere in addition to the quality bartender who has a vast knowledge of the history of beer make this place a definite go to.\r \r Food was terrific, I had a NY strip with roasted cauliflower. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and was excellent in flavor and seasoning and the cut of meat was top notch. Cauliflower was a nice side dish. It also came with a side of potato but I opted to get double vegetable instead.\r \r They have a gazillion different types of beer with about 12 different types on tap. They serve flights of beer for $9, four 4ounce tastings of the beers of your choice.\r \r My total bill came to $58 for dinner, 3 beers, tax and tip. Go there if you find yourself in the area. I was staying in Quakertown for business and there isn't much around there. I was grateful to find this gem of a restaurant, it was so much more than I could have expected. more

Very nice. Prices are very good considering how fancy it is.\r \r Our waitress and host were both very polite, prompt, and professional. Earned them a 20% tip on the bill.\r \r Food was very good.\r \r The BEER LIST WAS KING. Lots of belgian selection and IPAs too. Draft list had only 1 macro beer and like 10 micros! more

I love the spinnerstown hotel. I have been here so many times i have lost count.\r The food is amazing and the specials always change. I have to say the oktoberfest options and sausage platters are delicious! The owners are very personable and the bartenders are friendly and attentive. I have been given free mixed drink creations that the bartender was working on just to try.\r The ambiance is higher class and the beer menu is huge (they also have many meet the brewer events.\r If you like it a little livlier and loud stick to the bar area for dinner, if you like a quieter more intimate dinner choose the dining room. The dining room looks a bit plain but once you are seated you notice the fireplace and country-like decorations.\r The service has always been good for me, fast and attentive and they always know what the food tastes like.\r YOU MUST SEE THE DESSERT TRAY! Even if you dont order any dessert you have to look at the amazing baked goods that are homemade by a woman who lives across the street from the hotel. The lava cake is amazing!\r I really cannot talk up this place enough, it is by far the only place i have ever actually NEEDED to drive 2 hrs to get to (since i moved). more

Founded in 1811, the inn and restaurant are owned by the Dale family for the past 53 years. We ate in the tap room with 20 drafts and 350 bottled beers from the world over. Friendly staff and patrons. For food, the Kimmweck beef sandwich with homemade chips, pickle, and beer was hard to beat for 9 bucks. Next to us, the steamed mussels smelled buttery and garlicky. An ambitious menu with something for everyone at all price levels. Worth driving out of your way. more

Terrific food. Had the manhattan clam chowder with some very nice bread. Also had the crab sandwich, reasonably priced and surprisingly fresh. Served with homemade chips. That gets a bonus from me. Irish onion soup was sweet and rich, and why not do a nice twist on a classic. Terrific beer selection, as mentioned by others. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend a visit to the Spinnerstown hotel for a nice meal. more
