I discovered the Spinnerstown Hotel before I discovered Yelp, so I was not affected by, but recently surprised to see the harsh ratings of the previous reviewers. I first visited Spinnerstown Hotel six months ago because I was referred by the local Comfort Inn. I was so delighted, I have dined here each time (3) I have returned to this Comfort Inn. The restaurant is set in a lovely garden surrounded by ample and convenient parking. It is immaculate inside and out. The tables are set formally with tablecloths. The music is tasteful and played softly, barely noticeable, as I like it, so it is a good place to dine and talk with friends or family (or to read a book in my case, as an out of town visitor). The cuisine is unique and the presentation is very tasteful. The first visit, I had a delicious beef pot pie, which was on special. Last night, I had oriental scallops with rice and a sweet sauce. Krista, who waited my table, was a delightful young lady. My every visit has been pleasant and I plan to return. I can find no basis for downgrading Spinnerstown Hotel from a full five stars.
