They're OK 5/1/2012

I've had 6 treatments and have had mixed experiences. Some of the staff are good, some are checked out. They charge $100 if you cancel with less than 48 hours but don't follow the same rule themselves. When they're running behind not only do you get in late for your appointment and thereby pay more in parking but they want to rush you through your appointment. If you're using one of the lasers that is more painful then this rush means you will have to push for the time you rightly need to prep (ice). The best thing I can say is speak up whenever you are bothered by something or have an issue and generally I've found they address it. Be cautious of any 5 star reviews that pop up from April on as I noticed they've started a program where they're rewarding people for 5 star reviews. Not sure that's a great idea. more

I really like not having to shave my legs. They're always soft & smooth. Under arms, etc too. Oh, now, if I want to I can also wear very low bikinis, low-cut jeans, etc! Yay! Love it! more

I have only been to one appointment here so far, but it was really great! The people who work here are knowledgable and easy to talk to. The actual laser procedure was totally PAIN FREE because they use the latest technology. It was so quick, too, which is awesome. It's too soon for me to see results, but I'm looking forward to seeing them in the months to come! more

SCMS is the best hair removal place in SoCal. I decided to get my armpits and bikini done and it was seriously the best decision I have ever made. I no longer have to be a slave to the razor or to those dreadful bikini bumps. The staff is so friendly and professional that it was truly a pleasure to go for my treatments. A few months later and no more hair! If you're tired of hair, definitely give these a call. The prices are very reasonable and worth every penny. You won't regret it! more

No problem 3/15/2012

I've been in the process of having a tattoo removed, but I had to miss a scheduled session because I had to be out of town for work on the one day the center I normally go to provides the service. Enter South Coast MedSpa in Newport Beach! I called from the hotel and explained that I was from out of town and would only need one treatment, and they said no problem! The fit me in that afternoon and honored the price my usual place charges! EVERYONE on the staff was very nice and accommodating... I'm bummed I won't be able to return anytime soon! They made me feel very welcome, and the procedure went flawlessly as well. I highly recommend South Coast MedSpa for whatever process you need to have done! more

They do a great job 3/8/2012

I found SCMS online and decided to contact them because RNs do the procedures - a must for me! I want people who know what they are doing! Their prices are very reasonable and I got a great package deal on my under-arms and Brazilian bikini zone. After 5 of my 6 treatments, I have experienced about an 85 to 90% hair loss, which is amazing! I used to get ingrown hairs every time I shaved and now I NEVER get them! I have referred my mom and other people to SCMS because they do a great job, provide you with excellent results and are very fair priced. I can't wait to have my legs done next! Thanks SCMS! more

Look no further 2/28/2012

Very pleased with the results. Just wish I found out about SCMS earlier. I recommend it to anyone interested in getting acne scars removed. I had doubts, but after the first procedure, I am truly a believer. Also get compliments all the time after only my first procedure. Don't waste your time looking for other places, this is the place to be. more

Glad I did it 1/8/2012

I had my underarm treatment finish recently and couldn't have been happier. I am so glad I did and only am wondering why I didn't do it sooner. The treatment was very quick and painless and I haven't shaved for over a year. I have about 90% total elimination of hair and the 10% that grows back is so soft and grows back at a really slow pace. \r \r Totally happy and am thinking about other areas for treatment. For anyone that is hesitating, don't just do it.\r \r more

Rearranged my deal 1/1/2012

I had a deal with SCMS when I signed up in 2007 that my touchup rate would be $150 but they went back on the deal and wanted to charge me double. The original contract notes the $150 but doesn't exactly spell it out. I was able to negotiate the $150 for the year but they want $200 after that. I think it's unscrupulous business practices. Word of warning, make sure everything is in writing and spelled out completely. All that said, the nurses that perform the procedures are wonderful and the equipment seems state of the art. It's just unfortunate they didn't honor their commitment to me. more
