This is a pretty good dealership. I called to ask a few questions and see if I needed to make an appointment to take my car. A freind had recommened them. The service advisor was very nice and very helpful. I took my car and it was repaired in a resonable time frame. When I got my car back it drove great and sounded great too. No more noise. All the time to the MAX!!! more

This was the best car buying experience ever. Bought my car from Hani. I recommend you to ask for him. I promise it will change your experience tremendously. He was so straight-forward and honest. Went back when I was trying to decide whether to buy a honda or volkswagen- their sales approach was very straight forward and laid back, they gave us a couple of printed out quotations and told us to get back to them when we were ready to buy- and we did!!! I recommend South Bay Volkswagen more

Yes, 5 stars.....shocking, I know. I never thought I'd give a car dealership a 5 star rating either but SBVW earned it! I generally loathe the car buying process (who doesn't?) - the cheesy salesmen, the price negotiation BS, and all the other run-around that comes with the territory. However, SBVW actually made it a *pleasant* experience for me this time around. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating but Gaston, our "sales representative," was the real stand out. He was extremely patient and answered all of our questions thoroughly without ever being pushy-which is usually my first complaint about dealerships. We gave them a bottom line and they pretty much met our request without hesitation or BS-so refreshing! From the first test drive to signing on the dotted line, Gaston and the rest of the staff at SBVW made my car buying experience stress-free and surprisingly fun. more

Just bought a car from them. It was a used car they had on the lot, so I went in knowing exactley what I wanted. The service was great. they even came to my work to finalize the deal and pick up my trade in. This was great because I hate sitting at dealerships. Salesman came to my office totally prepared, took about 10-15 minutes and he handed me the keys and was on his way back to the dealship in my old car. Great customer Service. more

In the end of August I was in the market for another vehicle. When I was looking around I just happened to visit South Bay Volkswagen. I have never owned a Volkswagen as I have always been loyal to my Japanese cars. However, having friends that have had VW's their whole lives, I decided to check them out. When I rolled up to South Bay, I was helped by Valente Bahena. I saw a car that I liked and we went back and forth for sometime. Long story short I ended up purchasing the Vehicle. Here's Why: (1) I really liked the car and (2) from visiting other dealerships, I did not encounter another salesman like Valente who was happy to work with me, willing to work with me and had great customer service. I was really turned off by a lot of the other dealerships, who didn't listen to what I wanted and didn't really give me the time of day. Valente was completely the opposite of those experiences. Lately, its seems that so many places have loss there value in Customer Service. This is not the case with Valente and South Bay VW. It was very appreciated to work with someone who had great customer service and valued my business. So, if your in the market for a VW new or used, it might be worth the time to stop by South Bay VW, and in particular ask for Valente. more

So I need a car. I'm not the negotiating type and I hate car dealerships. My father says use USAA's car buying service. I do. I get the numbers down, then stroll into South Bay VW for the car I'm looking for. Jaimie meets me out in the lot. I'm already nervous. He lets me test drive, OK. We find a car on the lot that meets most of what I want. (Even the internet guy was cool-they talked me OUT OF options they didn't think I'd need. Definitely a no pressure situation). Then we get to the price point. This guy is a champion. Easy, no haggle deal. Way under invoice. In fact, it was better than the deal thru USAA. I make sure no stone went unturned. I was looking for the "fine print" as they say, in the financing office. There was none. As straight as it gets. Even though I was waiting for a bit, Jaimie offered to buy me lunch. Easy, no issue car-buying experience. more

SBVW is manned by Bob and Bob Jr., and they are super tranquilo, easygoing chaps who don't seem to excited either way, buy or don't buy.  I test-drove a V10 TDI Touareg there, and Bob Jr. didn't mind one bit that I drove it all over hell's acre and did burnouts, which is sometimes inevitable with over 500 lb.-ft. of turbodiesel torque... damn. more

I got a new car I am so happy ! They were really friendly with me they helped me find what I needed. Hugo Helped so I recommend you go with hugo he will help with the sales, the finance girl was patient and explain to me all the paperwork and everything I needed to know about my new purchase. She was able to get me a monthly payment on my car and she helped me get as much as possible on my trade in. I recommend this place to everyone out there that love Volkswagens! more

What a great experience. From the minute you park in the lot you feel at home. Fernando was attentive, funny and knowledgeable. He made the test drive of the Tiguan meaningful and productive. Asked our needs, and wants. Went out of his way to cater to our personalities. Told us not to "over-buy." Can't wait to go back and sign the contract. We not only met a superior salesman, hopefully we've met a friend. more

Although I have read the reviews, even the bad ones, I decided to take my VW here anyway since it is close to my work. I usually go to City, and their prices were too high for service so I shopped around. I am so happy I did, and South Bay now has a new service customer! I spoke with Ricardo on the phone, and told him my dilemma. I need new brakes and tires, which was quoted from City a whopping almost $1400!! The brakes alone were a big chunk, and I have to do one thing at a time (I'm not made of money). Ricardo said he would help me out, and gave me a price $80 less than City did. I said done. Brought it in this morning at 7:30 and they gave me a shuttle to work. There I met with Cesar, who was incredibly nice, and sat me down at his desk to go over figures (at City you have to stand at a computer with them- no desks,very impersonal and rushed). Even the shuttle driver, Alfred was super nice too. At work, I got a call at 11:00 telling me my car was done. At City, it was NEVER ready until like 5-6 at night!! I was amazed, and got my boss to drive me there to pick it up. Cesar was waiting, and gave me my bill. It was 1.45 over the estimate, and they totally hooked me up with a few other things I don't think they even charged me for. He also gave me a quote for tires at least $300 less than City VW was going to charge me! I am so impressed with everything here, I will continue to take my car back. It was seamless and perfect service! more
