Sophia's Pizza & Subs

Last Bad Experience!! When I first walked into the restaurant it was empty. After waiting for about five minutes three employees came to the front from the back, smelling like cigarettes. When i finally ordered they were out of two items off the menu. I settled on a large two topping pizza. While I was waiting, i overheard the employees cursing and complaining about their job. Once i brought my pizza home, it was very greasy and i noticed one entire half of the pizza was burnt and inedible. Maybe instead of the employees complaining about their job, they should first DO their job. I was a regular customer, key word "WAS" Pros: Big Menu. Cons: Bad Service, Bad Food, Uncleanliness. more

After waiting ten minutes before receiving service at the counter.. the girl was on the phone..we thought she was the only person there, so we didn't mind, then we notice another lady(manager) was cleaning. After we placed our order, we were told it would be 15 to 20 min. which we were fine with. After sitting there for 25 minutes we over heard the delivery person say the the girls that those people are going to be sitting there for awhile since the oven isn't on, the manager looks our way, doesn't say one word or offer a drink for sitting there this long, instead when my daughter asked how much longer the manager told told her 2 more minutes. They give us the pizzas, forgot the cheese sticks, told us it would be another 5 minutes...thats when the confrontation began, not only did the manager argue how long we had been sitting there, the other girls family came in and received excellent service from their daughter. I stepped in because my daughter was so upset from the lack of care or professional attitude that I ask for a total refund. Then the girl (from behind the counter) family challenged me on what transpired to the point I wanted to go off on both of them. The so called manager could of handled things differently and her employee could be more professional instead of giving better service to her family.....will never go back and I'm in the food business, I will make sure the word gets around to beware. I went to Sophia;s Pizza across the Cannery Casino with my husband. They have a television so we watched it until our food was ready. The services were great, too! We are definatly going back soon Pros: Nicest calzones around!! Cons: hardly anything made me upset more

Sophia's Pizza was amazing! I brought my 3 kids with me and they ordered off the kids meal and enjoyed the deserts. My 2 year old son got to seat in a booster seat, too. The best part was my son just got out of his soccer game and got to have a pizza FREE because he was in a uniform! They have the finest ingrediants that I have had in a long time!! I am definatly going back! Pros: Best pizza in town!! more

I'm a regular customer, I work in the area and have been a loyal customer for the last two years. Their Pepperoni pizza's have double if not more pepperoni's then any other pizza restaurant in town. Their pizza tastes like East Coast Pizza; great tasting pizza! Ther other menu items are just as tasty but what has me sold is that they don't skimp on portions or on good quality ingredients. The new owners are very friendly and take care of their customers. Pros: Huge portions and great tasty items. Cons: Unfortunately , there is only one Sophia's Pizza in town more

My family decided to give it a try, and we ordered a sausage / pepperoni pizza & chicken wings. Oh my goodness it was so GREASY, I could not believe it!!! The wings were ok, but I've had better. The people took forever and were very rude. I have no idea how they stay in business. =( Pros: Can't think of any. Cons: Gross food, bad service. more

The food is okay if you are willing to put up with the attitude. The phone people are rude when they take your order and good luck if you want something delivered. I've been told by several people that I should check out Sophia's Pizza & Subs, as one of my favorite pursuits in life is to find the perfect Steak Philly. Upon entering the resturant, I proceeded directly toward the restrooms to wash my hands. Before I could even step into the hallway, I was abruptly told by a staff member that the restroom was only for paying customers. I mentioned that I was a paying customer, that I was here to order and just wished to wash up beforehand. The person informed me that once I had actually placed an order and paid for it that I would be welcome to use the facilities. Perhaps I am mistaken but this seems to me to be a terrible way to treat a customer. What happened to good faith? What happened to respect for the customer? What's with the "Gimme some cash and then we'll talk?" I simply told them that I found the atmosphere unappealing and walked out. Sadly, I have no idea how the Steak Philly was. I won't be back. more
