Good: Location. Bad: I went to visit my mother and the nursing staff was cursing in the halls. I went to the nursing station to report it and the Unit Manager Christy was telling ...

Business hours? 1/6/2012

Although this facility is on probation by the State of Florida, It makes me wonder how they ever keep their doors open. When called shortly after 4pm, no one at the facility had a clue as to what their business office hours are. Not even the Charge Nurse. And furthermore, I was told that the people in charge of billing as well as the administrator come and go as they please and do not keep strict hours. Go figure!?! We continue to receive a bill for an account that they have already acknowledged is paid in full. The only bright spot in the place is their physical rehab department and God help them if that one guy leaves... more

Highly Recommend 4/19/2011

My husband has been a patient at this nursing home for almost 3 years. He has always been treated with the utmost respect and kindness. He is always well dressed, clean and well fed. Activities are provided with individual needs in mind. I highly recommend this nursing home for both rehabilitation and long term care. They don't get any better than this. more

This place is an outright disaster. STAY AWAY. 3/28/2011

My dad was transferred to the facility on February 22nd following spinal surgery. During his time there, he developed a stage 4 bedsore, 2 UTIs, MRSA and became severely dehydrated and septic. If he wasn't transferred to the nearby hospital, he would have died. No one made sure he was turned over the requisite amount of times, or that he drank enough fluids. He is a diabetic with limited use of his limbs, and they treated him like a fully self-sufficient individual. The house doctor who was on his ledger only spoke to us once, and drugged him up on Oxycodone, Percoset, Valium and Dilordid! No one listens at this place, and few care. They will try to justify their treatment of their patients, too. This place is a disaster. DO NOT USE THEM. A man who's there for rehab should NOT be on death's doorstep after a month! more

finally getting help 3/22/2011

This is an update to a past review. My husband was in Bayonet Pointe Health and Rehab Center for about a month. He went in there with a slight sore on his buttock. After a 3 week period his Stage 1 bedsore developed into a Stage 4 cepsis bedsore. In addition he became severely dehydrated because of the fact the staff either didnt care or wasnt aware of his limited movement to reach fluids. He was supposed to be turned every 2 hours to avoid more damage to his bedsore and wasnt. Any time we went to visit him he was on his back asleep or in a wheelchair asleep IN the dark I might add. Fortunately he was placed into the hopsital since they finally realized they couldnt handle the problems. He nearly died from neglect. I have also heard that this facility had been closed at one time for neglect. The place is very nice looking and clean...but what good is it if the patient doesnt get the care they need? more

do not go here 5/2/2010

My grandfather became ill and went to Bayonet Point Rehab. they put him in a room with another man who kicked him (he was a resident there for a year and a half so I doubt this was the first incident with him) Then moved him to another room where the night nurses were very rude to him and he also got the flu. Then his hearing aid was no where to be found-I would never send him back there again!! I also feel sorry for the people in there who don't have family members looking after them more

Business Response 1/23/2009

The review listed above by Jackson Chapel does not appear to be related to any patient admitted to Bayonet Point Health & Rehabilitation Center. We have no record of anyone named Chapel. The one patient we did have named Jackson did not have any children. We feel this may be a mistake and not reflective of our center. more
