Serious haircolor and techinical precision 4/22/2012

I went to the salon for the first time today and had a color retouch (permanent color) and pull through (semi-permanent) and cut with Sam. The receptionist was extremely nice and professional. We got great but still natural looking results. Hair color product is top notch and best hair cut I've had (and I've made trips into Manhattan to places like Saks in search of a good cut for extra-long coarse hair). The price was worth it for the quality--decor is slightly austere but excellent service. Sam is a real technician! more

Stay Away!!!!!!!!!! 4/14/2012

This salon is run by a bunch of young unfriendly people who are rude and don't listen to what you want done to your hair. The hairstylist I had was telling me how tired she was because she had a hangover - and that reflected in my haircut! Not a professional place. They should be selling Suave not Aveda products. more

Everyone at Solari is top-of-the-line professional, in every way. They know their stuff and the customer benefits from their expertise. Whether you go there for a haircut or a mani-pedi, be prepared to leave feeling like you should have minions, because the staff at Solari treats you like royalty. more

Excellent Haircuts 2/6/2012

My daughter and I walked into the salon on a Sunday and Michelle was our stylist. She did exactly what we asked. We were made very comfortable with a cup of tea and enjoyed our experience. It was so nice to relax and feel confident that our cuts were going to come out perfect and they did. Thank you. more

The services I received at solari were incredible. They do an amazing job paying attention to the little details that are trademarks of good aveda spas, leaving nothing to be desired. The music, aromas, and delicate touches the staff deliver on are so perfect. The manicure and pedicure I got are beautiful, and the facial was the best I've ever had. Plus they are all really nice! If you have a chance to go there, GO! more

It's so amazing to be so happy with how your brows and bikini wax look, but I am. What I wanted you to know however was that the young man at the desk was exceptional. He was professional, patient and just a delight whether he was attending to my needs or this crazy woman that was before and after me...she came back. Haircut with Ashley 1/24/2012

I walked into Solari Salon while visting Portsmouth one afternoon and asked for a consultation. Ashley was available and assigned to me. With unwavering confidence she presented me with the current trouble spots I was experiencing and techniques to overcome them. Since then my friend and I travel an hour from our home in Maine to have our hair done. It is a trip we always look forward to because it has grown into a time of friendship and beauty. I finally found my hairdresser, Ashley. I have been going to her for years and she is the best. I feel refreshed and beautiful every time I leave and she helps to guide my decisions, while listening to what sort of look I want. Solari Salon offers the best hair supplies, including the new Invati, whcih I adore! more

My facial experience, part II 1/19/2012

It was everything for which one could hope. She was personable, professional and knew which questions to ask. The facial was terrific. I could not give enough praise.
