We went here as a small group to watch the Texas game last evening, wanting to try something new, and admittedly a little hesitant after reading some of the below (quite terrible) reviews. We were not disappointed however, and didn't seem to remotely encounter any of the mentioned problems or ""cons."" The service was actually very consistent and friendly, the bartender was helpful - and it's hard to have a miss with Shiner on draft - the seating was ample and well laid out. The food was DIVINE and very well priced. The guys had the fillet (less than $25 including sides) and each said they really were surprised at the quality of meat and well-preparedness of the meal period, especially for the price. I had the garden salad with house dressing - absolutely amazing with candied walnuts, blue cheese chunks, and fresh crisp leaves of lettuce and spinach - generous portion and worth every penny of the $9 price. The manager (DILLON not David / Daniel) and executive chef (ZACK) both stopped by to check on us and were willing to hear suggestions on what might help them step up their game in a location with such fierce competition - Uptown & the West Village. We sat upstairs, as it seemed more cohesive to watching the game - less crowded and less noisy - but we did go downstairs afterward to sit and have a few drinks, and it's definitely a great place to see and be seen. Very Uptown, very chill, very pretty people. I would suggest this place to anyone. And if you have a problem, have any sort of issue mentioned below, I would recommend speaking with the manager, as he genuinely seemed interested in making Social House one of ""the"" places to go, attracting more people and turning them into regulars.
Pros: Food & Drinks, Ambiance, Service, Location - all stellar...
Cons: Restrooms are very small, single entry, have to wait...
