Yesterday my mother, mother-in-law and I visited the shop and bought several items. I am new to the Winston-Salem area and was very excited to see such a nice shop with wonderful items. I commented that I'd finally found a great shop. I couldn't have been more wrong.\r
\r
My pleasant shopping experience ended abruptly at the check-out counter. First of all, I had to ask for a bag for the merchandise that I bought. No big deal really, just figured the elderly lady working there forgot. THEN the younger, dark-haired woman came over. I asked her what the business was a few doors down because I couldn't figure out what it was. She looked at me, smirked, then said, ""Why you askin' me??!!"" So much for southern hospitality huh?\r
\r
I couldn't believe how rude she was! I immediately snapped back with, ""Well because you WORK here."" She said nothing more and we left. If we hadn't already made our purchases, we would have walked out. We will never go back again.\r

The thing this lady needs to realize is that with the Internet, actions such as hers can be posted for EVERYONE to read. It is my hope that she reads this post and stops herself the next time she feels the need to lash out at a customer for no good reason.\r
\r
BTW - we went to a consignment shop around the corner and told that clerk about our experience. She was shocked and commented that she has referred customers to that shop. Maybe she won't anymore. \r

So....to the lady with the dark hair who was wearing the cute apron at Snob Consignment, PLEASE remember to treat people with respect. You never know what your customers are going through at the time, and maybe a kind word from you would make them smile
