Best

Was at Sisley last night had a great experience service was great and the food, all I can say is awesome but way to much. The vegetarian is by far the best in town. My new favor...

Worst

Disapointed each time. Food mediocre, overseasoned /over-oiled. If you dull your tastebuds with a couple of cocktails, you may not notice. Seared ahi tuna is good unexpected surpr...

Sisley's are super Racists 8/1/2011

I am writing this view for something I saw while today during a business luncheon. I witnessed the poor older man in his 50's, being harrassed by the management of this restaurant. The wait staff and manager on duty were giving this man, of latin descent, a lot of problems, mistreating him, made racial comments, and physically threatened him. I was about to call the police but nothing happened. I strongly ask others not to be victimized by racial profiling in this restaurant by not being a customer. This establishment should be ashamed about their own racism. oh, and the food was overpriced cafeteria italian. I prefer the nearby Macaroni grill more

Great food 2/1/2010

I am a transplant from NY and I love my italian food. I must say, the staff was great. They were very personable and the food was terrific. The sandwiches for lunch are great, especially the sweet italian sausage. I also love their linguini with clams. I will definitely go back for more. more

WARNING! 9/19/2008

Gross food and enviornment, flies everywhere. i was not satisfied by the watery pasta and when i tried to let a manager know he was very rude and yelled at the waitress right in front of me this young manager really was rude and very unprofessional. i have been here before and had an okay experience the main manager cal was great but the other younger man and crackhead woman are horrible ... the staff seems really sad as well. go somewhere else and dont waste your time at that insect breeding ground Cons: bad food bad managment bad enviornment more

GREAT 6/9/2008

I took a girl out for a date at Sisley in Valencia. It was my first time eating there. I Had the Italian Quesedilla for an appetizer and theChicken caldo for my main coarse and the were both very good!! The service was great and the atmosphere was awesome. They have a great outdoor patio. I WILL be back to eat again. They also have one in Sherman Oaks which is closer to my house so I'm going to try that one next! Hope the sherman oaks sisley one has the same service because their food is great! Oh... and i also got a second date!!! thanks sisley! Pros: huge portions! more

bad customer service 4/2/2008

I've been a couple times. Never really been impressed with the food. Too basic and boring for being so over priced. The older manager guy is a complete snob and very rude. I wouldn't go back if they paid me. more

Great Food! 3/20/2008

I love this restaurant! The bread, Chicken Penne and desserts are awesome! The Chicken Penne is a lighter dish, with an olive oil sauce and spinach. They make the best cannoli that I have ever tasted! There is nothing better than great bread with some olive oil! We had a great server named Kayla, (I think...) I used to work in the restaurant business, so service, food and cleanliness are of the utmost importance and Sisley does it all right!!!!!!! This place is always busy, so I suggest you make reservations! Pros: The food and Sevice more

Best Food and Great Service 10/23/2007

Today I visited Sisley in Valenica and I couldn't be happier. I was so impressed by how well they accomodated my business meeting. The food is just delicious. I ate a Pene Pasta while my guest had the New Pesto Grilled Sandwich. We discussed the food for a good portion of the meeting! The environment is beautiful and the staff is friendly! I will be back to Sisley Saturday for their SUPERB COUNTRY BRUNCH!!!! I rarely walk away from a restaurant impressed. Hands down to the owners of Sisley for beig so in touch with their community. Its rare to find a restaurant who undersands how difficult it can be to have children or be young and on a budget. Sisley offers affordable deals for kids and a relaxing Happy Hour. Pros: Friendly Delicious Cons: NOTHING more

Average at best food, expensive, poor service 10/7/2007

I went with a date last night having never been to this restaurant before. The food was average at best, and high priced, particularly for the quality. If you order just an entree, and drink water, you won't get out of there for less than $20 per person with tax and tip...for Olive Garden quality food. The drinks are expensive as well. Two beers and two vodka tonics cost more than our food. So if you plan on drinking, figure $30-$40 per person minimum. For casual dining that is VERY expensive. Those are upscale dining prices and this place is FAR from upscale. Pros: None that I found Cons: Average food, expensive, poor service more

Slow service, but food is good 7/2/2007

The restaurant's decor is pretty formal looking, but the menu includes all the Italian favorites, which was comforting. I was one of the few who liked my food out of my entire party, however. I ordered a type of pasta. And weirdly enough, I chose something other than my usual favorite. The service was kind of slow. The waitress took around 15 minutes to get out beverages, which was pretty irritating. All in all, it was an average experience because of the service. If you go, be sure to get some type of pasta. Pros: good pasta, nice decor Cons: kind of dark, slow service more

Worst Service Ever 6/29/2007

Avoid at all costs! This restaurant may have good food, but the service was probably the worst I have ever had. 7 of us were there for a birthday, the waitress (who only had 5 tables), took about 20 minutes to take our drink orders. By the time she arrived, we ordered our drinks and also ordered our food. Belive it or not, our food order arrived before we even got water. Then she got one of the orders wrong and served pasta instead of a Calzone, so the manager came over to apologize and said that the correct order (Calzone) would be up in 4 minutes. 15 minutes later, it arrived. The person who got the calzone, pretty much ate it by himself as we were 90% finished with our meals. When the time came to get our bill, the waitress told us that the manager wanted to buy desert for the person who's order was wrong. Sonds good right? Well WRONG!! Not only did they not offer to not charge us for the screwed up Calzone, they also charged us for the ""complementary"" dessert. After asking for the manager to discuss, 20 minutes later he decided to see what the problem was. He said that it wasn't that much of an inconvenience with the wrong order, so he refused to take that off the bill. It also took a lot of talk to also get him to agree to not charge us for the dessert. All in all, horrible service, horrible attitude by both the waitress and the managers. This is the first restaurant that I have ever been to that refused to take off a wrong order from the bill. Pros: Really good bread sticks Cons: Bad bad bad service more

Not impressive 1/28/2006

Disapointed each time. Food mediocre, overseasoned /over-oiled. If you dull your tastebuds with a couple of cocktails, you may not notice. Seared ahi tuna is good unexpected surprise. Servers are disinterested act like they are doing you a favor. They need a multiple stall bathroom, sorry but as a woman I don't want to use the mens. There is almost always a line. Restaurant doesn't feel clean, each time I have been there there were unbused tables and food on the floor. The bathrooms, door handles and floor area in that section of the place leave much to be desired and the overwhelming smell of deodorizer make you wonder if it is really clean. Needs an overhall on the servers and cleaning staff. Pros: seared ahi Cons: unfriendly service, over-odorized bathroo more

When A Good Thing Turns Bad 3/15/2004

Sisley is located at the Valencia Town Center. It's a nice Italian restaurant with all the trappings of a great restaurant. The food is good and it seems like a good place to come back to. The problem? The cement floor and no waiting area, for starters. You'd be hard pressed to find a more noisy place. There's really no waiting area so patrons hover near diners or try to find a spot in the already-packed bar. There are no beepers and no paging system, so the hostess walks through the crowd SHOUTING names. You're crabby by the time you get to your table and even a decent meal doesn't make up for the annoyance. Pros: Good Food, Nice Surroundings Cons: , Cement Floors, Shouting Hostesses more

Not so bad 10/17/2002

I actually really like Sisley. It is great for an informal lunch. The salads are great. The service has always been nice and friendly. It is not the best italian food I have ever had, but passable. Go to Sisley if you want a good meal & sit on the patio for the best atmosphere. Pros: patio, salads Cons: price, too dark, long wait more

dark and expensive 5/30/2002

This place is hard to get into because of the crowd. The wait is always long no matter when you go and once you get in everyone is so trendy that they dont even notice that you are alive. The prices are really high and the desert isnt even that great. I tried a piece of expensive pie and it wasnt even sweet in fact it was even bitter! I don't recommend bringing kids in here for that matter i dont recommend it all. more
