Great Gun Store and Range. 11/29/2011

I saw an overall 3 star rating and had to investigate. My wife and I have visited the store a number of times over the past year, using the range, renting weapons, and talking with sales people getting advice on purchasing a weapon. I have been amazed at the patience, knowledge, and customer care these people have shown. We finally purchased our first gun and got a great gun at a great price. It's about a forty five minute drive for us but it's well worth it. more

My compliments to the staff at this store. We have been regular customers for several years. We have enjoyed shooting at this facility. The staff is one of the key elements. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and make us feel like one of the family. It's is certainly one of the things that keep us coming back on a weekly basis!! more

Great Place 11/9/2011

Went to the Tampa Shoot Straight for the first time today. Our intentions were to go and check out the facilities and the range. We live just under a hour away. We have been to other ranges a lot closer then Shoot Straight but was not satisfied. When we arrived at Shoot Straight today we were amazed on how big the place is. There show room was the biggest show room I ever been in for a gun shop. We went to the range counter to to sign up for the rife and hand gun ranges. At the counter we met Dave and he was so helpful and respectful. He explain everything to us and did not rush us at all, he was very patient with all the questions we had. Told him we like to shoot and maybe join, but we first wanted to try the range out and check out the place. He said no problem and had us fill out the proper forms. By the time we finished with that the other gentlemen was taken our information and he was also very courteous. Before we got done with him my spouse and I decided we wanted the family pl more

Great Pleasure To Work With Staff 11/4/2011

I had a new trigger assembly installed on a old smith and wesson .38 revolver that belonged to my mother in law, who was a hillsborough county sheriffs deputy. She carried this weapon with her on the job. It has a lot of sentimental value to my spouse. Working with the employees at shoot straight was a great pleasure. And i look foreward to returning and purchasing a new hand gun. more

Beginners will really appreciate instructors and staff. 9/26/2011

Recently my spouse and I took two private lessons with Jared, the firearms instructor. We discussed the store while we were there. The staff was pleasant, knowledgeable and very helpful. Jared did an outstanding job working with two older beginners. We appreciated his sense of humor and teaching abilities. The staff made for a great experience. Shoot Straight has wonderful people working at the store. more

I recently spent many hours in the Tampa store after renewing my interest in firearms. I was amazed by the large Shoot Straight presence at the Tampa Gun Shows and decided to visit the store. Needless to say, I was impressed at the store size. I started looking around in some Pinellas County gun shops and found many sales personnel very disinterested in their customers. This was far from true at your store! I met many informative sales people and found Tim, Josh, and John H. especially helpful. I came to your store to look at a pistol after obtaining a sale flyer at the gun show. I ended up looking at everything and spent four hours their on my first visit. I returned the next day to look again and to wait for my spouse who was visiting nearby. I learned a lot about new advancements in pistols during the past twenty years when ?Tim? was especially helpful. Some of your store personnel kidded me saying they would have to put me to work. Seriously all these spam reviews about one experience needs to be taken off. Not only has it been dealt with, but even if it wasn't taken care of spamming listings is against citysearch policies. I have personally been at this location to buy a gun, andI have to say they were the nicest people, and most informtive. I literally must have spent an hour ad a half there trying to decide what I wanted before I ended up leaving. But really great people, who know a lot about guns, and try to work with you. I wouldnt listen to the fake reviews. more

I bought my first gun ever at Shoot Straight in Tampa, not an easy feat for 50something yr old widow, but they staff made me very comfortable with my eventual selection ( I asked a lot of ?'s). Their range staff in particular were great and made me comfortable. Top notch people & great prices! I will send all my friends there. more
