Bob Graf from Shaper Image conned my parents out ouf thousands of dollars, would not return their phone calls, and never showed up to do the job. I also found out he spent ten years in jail for assault. This guy is BAD NEWS and goes door to door preying on old people. There's a special place in hell for guys like him. He is rotten to the core! more

Same experience as below - provided large deposit months ago, he failed to send worker onsite, finally worker arrived who had never worked for Bob before, he left saying ""this guy isn't paying me enough to do this job."" Bob agreed to return my deposit, failed to meet at pre-scheduled times twice, insists that he mailed me a check, the same as the others here. What I don't understand is why these problems have popped up in the past few months. Was this guy ok before then? What's going on? more

Our experience was nearly identical to the negative reviews we have now read online. Unfortunately, they were not up at the time we began dealing with Sharper Image Remodeling. We are posting this simply to warn anyone else that is in the same position we were in this summer. There are good honest contractors out there who will do wonderful work on your home. Do a little research on this company and you will realize that the cheapest bid from a cold call is not the safest route. The company website says they are A rated with the better business bureau, but check the BBB website. Use a contractor your friends have had good experiences with, that a co-worker recommends, or that a friend of a friend can verify did good work. Sometimes the money you save on the lowest bid isn't worth the money, time, or stress you expend after your downpayment. In our opinion, this is not a trustworthy company and we wish we had that information when we paid them the deposit. more

I'm with you all. He has screwed me over. He's a coward, a liar, and a thief. I'd be willing to get together with anyone that is willing to go to his home, like he did mine, and sit down with him at his kitchen table, like he did mine, and discuss his business practices. Outside of that I would definitely join suit against this loser. I've already contacted the BBB, St. Louis County Prosecutors office, and Missouri Attorney General. Just let me know what any of you would like to do. more

Learned my lesson never take an estimate from a remodeling company that is cold calling you on the phone for estimates. Bob Graf the owner of this aweful company is a fraud and a liar. This man took a large down payment from us. Three months later finally got a worker to our job. But he would not pay for our materials, which took another two weeks of both his worker and myself trying to get my materials out of him. We ended up canceling our payment to him. Now he is threatening us. After doing nothing but lie and take our money and not use it. We are looking into an attorney ouselves. Please beware of this company and the phone service he has calling people for estimates. We are also taking it up with the BBB, Angies List and our local news station. more

This was the worst experience ever! Bob Graf and Sharper Image Remodeling basically did a terrible job and then did not pay his subs so they are putting leans on my property. He has repeatedly lied and basically stole my money and would not recommend anyone to use him. We (meaning me and some of people who have burned by Bob Graf) are getting ready to sue him. more

I made the huge mistake of hiring this company and letting the owner take $4k down at the signing of the contract..The total cost for my partial kitchen remodel was bidded at $9500, The workers didn't show up for weeks on end..They started tearing everything out, then they left my kitchen a huge mess for weeks..When they did start coming around, they would show up about 11 a.m and leave about 3...The total job took over 8 months to complete and ive heard many lies and excuses from the owner himself, bob graf....He did not do as he said he would and i would NEVER recommend sharper image remodelling llc to anyone, not even my worst enemy...Hope this helps more
