My inner child had bigger aspirations.. a bigger shark. Yes, to be fair, they have a shark. It's cute. Is it enough to build a nightclub around? hmmm... Could have a club themed around the largest ball of twine and be more interesting. more

This place is awesome. It has a wonderful ambiance . This is a wonderful place to hang out with friends and family members. The pool table and the stage both were really cool. The interior is well done too. more

This club is beautiful from inside, it is expensive to buy bottle service tip is included and they dont tell you, the staff isnt the best just normal. more

My Son is a Videographer who was filming at this club on Thursday Night anyone who witnessed the attack by The Bouncers is asked to contact me @ acandlesshadows on Yahoo, the attack was captured on FILM as well as the Local Police not HELPING... My friend left his keys at the valet and they lost them. He made several trips back to pick them up but was given the run around and finally told that they were gone. No one offfered him anything, not even an apology. The keys were very expensive and costly to replace. The whole situation was handled very poorly and unprofessionally. Shark Club is amazing. Seriously one of the most beautiful clubs you'll ever see. All the people with negative drama should forward their input to the higher ups at the club and I guarantee they will help you out. I think everyone there is awesome. I guess there is always going to be more negative feedback than positive. Check out Saturday nights there. Very diverse and lots of fun. Pros: Professional well trained security, down to earth management, gorgeous fast paced servers, and the best bar staff in so cal!!! I hosted a huge Casino party at the Shark Club for a surpise b-day party. We spent thousands altogether on food and drink. They only assigned one server to our party consisting of over 70 people. Our guests were waiting 20 minutes for thier drinks. When the food ran out, the manager Matthew had a D-bag attitude and made it difficult for me to make other arrangements. The staff had no respect for me or my guest of honor. They treated us like any other of the low-lifes who enter that place regardless of the amount I was spending there. Upon leaving, one of the bouncers had the audasity to confront my guest of honor and myself and in so many words acuse him of making me look "unhappy", He overstepped his bounds as a door man and got far too personal. They have a minimum 18% gratuity that the service didn't match up to. I would never go back to this venue or recomend it to anyone. Shark Club is just okay. I went there about a year ago, and it was a good mix of young people, everyone dressed really nice, but seriously I went on New Years Eve and it wasn't that great. It seems like it's getting a lot more ghettooo. It was pretty much all black people and nerdy Indian guy. I danced w/ some portly 35-year-old black dude. Ugh. I'm a 23-year-old girl, I don't want to dance w/ some 35-year-old guy, but he honestly was probably the best choice out of everyone. Just not my vibe. There weren't many hot guys there. THey pretty much just played dirty rap all night, not much variety in music. Yeah, so SHark Club is kind of going downhill. They hosted a "Pimps n' H0s" ball a couple months ago. This should give you the kind of idea about how classy it is. The only good thing about it is it has a pretty cool look inside, it's pretty big, and they have shark tanks and pool tables. Large Club. Nice inside, not so good part of town. Mostly Valet parking but if you get there early, you can park in some public parking spots. Drinks are around $7-$12 each. closes at 2 AM on Weekends. Good mix of music. Cover is $20 when I went. Pros: Good area of town. What a ridiculously terrible bar. Outside of my friends and I, there were no other white men in the bar. There wasn't a single woman there that I would have slept with outside of the waitstaff. It's a meat market for fat women to pick up black men. The music was terrible, the drinks were expensive, and I had the most valuable car in the parking lot. Costa Mesa really is turning into a dump. It's all about Thursday Nights, they're the best! Hip Hop, R&B, guest performers on special event nights. The drinks are good and you only need a couple. The people there are all about the party! The newly remodeled VIP areas are the best in Orange County. more

OMG! First of all, Let me say that the Shark Club is Freaking Awesome! To all the losers who are complaining about Fridays and all the asians. Well that is because on fridays, that is their hot spot on Fridays. Let it be. But on Saturdays is when there is a great crowd and a pretty damn good mixture of Peeps! The music is great, the atmosphere is like no other! It reminds me of a Vegas Club, its nothing like any club in L.A. ( and I'm from there!) I drive out there, almost every other weekend!! My friends and I love it! if you are complaining about the prices for drinks, then you have no business being in the O.C.! Try Saturdays, and tell me what you think!!! Give it another chance! Just wanna stop by and say...i love to go out and no matter where i go, i always make my way back to the sharks club. i love the vibe, the peeps, the beats..i use to live in costa mesa and moved to canyon country, but on weekends i always head back to o.c. by the way: to the guy that has all the moves i danced with last week asian night, um i think i gave u my i.d. when i was locking in my cell into ur cell, can i have it back? i'll treat u to pho thankx! i was at sharks last 02/15. i will try to go to sharks every asian night just because this is the best overall club in cali, hands down! You guys got 5 stars from me. BTW: this comment is for the "AverageDrinker" dude. You know i always come to the sharks club every now and then. i don't see ugly faces or dramatic peepz. i think you are in the wrong club. maybe you went to the cheesy club or bar on 17th street...i know girls they wanna dance alone or with their friends, it's not ur fault that you can't shake like a salt shaker....it's not ur fault that you are not as hot as the asian guys there......im chinese/viet and i don't think i am a perfect 10, but if they scale me, i am an 8 1/2...so there get over it dude. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to swim with large, great white sharks? Well, if you go to Shark Club the only kind of sharks you will see are in the shark tank. All the sharks on the dance floor turned out to be a bunch of whales. If you want, "bump, bump, bump", the only bumping going to get is from a sp*rm whale. BE ADVISED! If you are into keeping warm by using blubber, this is your place! I was looking for a sensual seduction but instead got a sensual reduction. On to the ratio. The ratio between men and women leans towards an extra capacity of pot-bellyed men...and women. If you are looking to climb the trees of amazonian forest women, be my guest! This place is pretty decent if you're bored and don't have anything to do on a friday or saturday. There are a LOT of asians though. I've been there 3x and the first 2 were overly crowded with a ton of asians. The third time was on New Year's Even and that was A BIG MISTAKE. Do not go on any holidays because all you get are weirdos. We were supposed to go to LA but stayed in Oc instead and I"m still regretting it. First time I went was on a Friday... Not exactly a very diverse crowd. I'm a 6' white guy, and I would say there were probably a total of 6 other white guys in the whole place (you could tell because they were the tall ones). Music was good, place was bumpin, the staff seemed perfectly alright to me, everyone was friendly enough, but I couldn't get past the point that I stuck out like a sore thumb and was getting eyeballed everywhere I went. The place had potential for sure, so I decided to give it another chance on a different night. I went there this last Saturday, and wow what a difference! The crowd was so much more diverse, the music was a really great mix to keep everyone on the dance floor (although no one started dancing until 11pm which was a little odd), the staff couldn't have been friendlier, and no more sore thumb :) This has to be the best club in OC. I didn't even think something like this existed here anymore. Was definitely a breath of fresh air. I'll be going back there often (at least on Saturday :P). more
