HVAC & Plumbing services Outstanding 8/30/2015

I have been a loyal SSI customer for years, and have started using them for plumbing as well. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They truly care about whatever problems you have, and do their absolute best to help you. They are fast, efficient, fair, courteous, and always use highly skilled technicians. I use Patrick for our HVAC needs and Rob N. for plumbing. Both are amazing. I have complete trust in both of them, and in this company. I have had work done over the years, and when they do it, I know it will be done right. Rob has been amazing - he has gone above and beyond to fix whatever we need. Patrick is also simply outstanding. Highly recommend this company!!! more

Great company 8/27/2015

We've used Service Specialties Inc. for the last fifteen years in two different homes. We have four units that they service seasonally. Every time we have an issue, their technicians are right there to take care of it. The staff is very professional and courteous. I recommend Service Specialties Inc. for reliable service at a reasonable price. more

Great communication, great service, great price. 8/24/2015

Our AC unit went out in our home, so we called several services to get it fixed. Some other services could have come out sooner, but Service Specialties offered a temporary unit to keep us cool while we waited for our service appointment. I didn't mind waiting as long as we were being taken care of, and kept cool. Service Specialties also had the best prices. Their prices were amazing! The service over the phone and in person was awesome. They were very professional, and the technicians worked very hard. After the two week wait they showed up on time and were friendly and helpful. I have no complaints about their work, the AC has worked fine. I would definitely use them again. more

Service Specialties Inc. replaced my upstairs air conditioning unit. This was during the summer. They were very prompt, courteous, and professional in their approach. The work was done within the time frame they specified. When I had an issue with my other unit, I was able to reach the salesperson, who put me in touch with someone who could fix it. This was on a Friday evening, so that was really above and beyond! more

Flexible, courteous, clean, and professional. 7/20/2015

Service Specialties is fantastic. Two winters ago they replaced my furnace, and this past spring they replaced my air conditioning unit. Obviously I've been happy with them as I am a repeat customer. They had also been highly recommended by one of my co-workers. I like that they are extremely flexible. They're willing to work within your time frame, budget, and any other special circumstances you may have. Hopefully I won't have to, but if necessary, I would use their service again. I'd highly recommend Service Specialties's quality work. more

Professional, honest, and high quality. 4/23/2015

I've had Service Specialties come in and do a couple of things over the past two years. They've done heating and air conditioning for us, and they also added some insulation to our attic. I thought they were a very professional group of people. They explained exactly what they were doing, and I felt that they were honest. I also like that they have a professional yet personal touch when you call the company. They're professional, honest, and high quality. I'd recommend their work. more

Great service 3/24/2015

I found Service Specialties Inc. on a review site. They had very good reviews. I don't follow advertisements without a proven record. The man I used for the checkup for my furnace, Drew, was very professional. He did a complete inspection of my furnace. He even took it apart. Most people just take a quick look, and say it's okay without even examining it. Not Drew. He took it apart, thoroughly examined it, and even explained the inner workings of it. He explained the intricacies of it, such as the dual speeds. He even measured the components with his meter. Nobody had ever done that before. He was very conscientious. He suggested I get it replaced as it was twenty-five years old. I waited a year, and did end up replacing it. The furnace they gave me is the perfect size for my house, and it only gets as warm as it needs to. It also saves energy. I also received a very good deal for it. They gave me a discount. I will definitely use them for any future inspections I may need. more

Very positive, efficient, attentive, and prompt! 3/5/2015

I had looked all over until I found Service Specialties. My husband had a friend who owned an air conditioning and heating company, and since he retired, I haven't been able to find anyone I liked. Then I saw Service Specialties' ad and decided to give them a try. They came out, and they were very professional and gave me a good estimate. They also helped me find discounts! So far, everything seems good. With all this snow, my furnace is getting a good test run! more

I have been a customer of Service Specialties Inc. for about four years. Recently they installed a new system, including an outside compressor for me. They guys that installed it did a great job. There was one minor problem where the compressor shut down and it was running on an emergency strip for a bit. But, SSI sent out some technicians quickly to fix the issue. They are very good people to work with. more

Excellent job with furnace replacement 2/17/2015

We had Service Specialties Inc. for a couple of things. They replaced a furnace at a reasonable price, and they did an excellent job. They showed up on time, and they did a good, clean installation. They also did a few extra things I asked them to do. They were very helpful, and we only used them twice so far. We were happy customers. They did maintenance on our air-conditioner as well. more

Service Specialties Inc. installed an air-conditioner and a furnace in my home. Everything went smoothly, and the systems work well so far. What stood out about their service to me was how they came even when it was raining, and they set up a tent and did the work with no complaining. They finished everything on time, and we had no problems with them. more

Professional, Caring, and Thorough! 1/28/2015

I went to Service Specialties, INC when I was looking to have a new heating system, water heater, and humidifier installed and they did a really great job. They were very thorough in the job that they did and in answering questions: they were so friendly, and really just took the time to explain things to me whenever I had a question. It made the experience more easy and made me more comfortable in having them in my home. I highly recommend them, as the job was done impeccably and the pricing was very competitive. You won't be disappointed. more

Extremely professional, on time and helpful. 1/22/2015

We hired Service Specialties Inc. to replace our outside A/C unit as well as the inside condenser unit, the furnace, and all of the duct work. We got a bid beforehand from another company that was way over priced. Service Specialties Inc. gave us a realistic price and they were very clear with all of the details of what the price includes. They were very transparent and forward. We had the work scheduled for one week after they met with us. The guys were great they explained everything. They had good follow up as well! more

Fantastic new mini-split system for old house, love it! 12/28/2014

Finally!! After 17 years of hauling firewood & sky high electric bills (compliments of electric baseboard heaters,) everyone has enjoyed our first full year of-whole house comfort with this energy efficient central heating & air conditioning system from Service Specialties of Chantilly, VA. This modern state of the art Mitsubishi Mini-Split HVAC system performs flawlessly. It works quietly and efficiently, heating and cooling our stone, log & wood house built in 1795, keeping each individual zone precisely at the exact set temperature. During the initial visit, James Rogerson, Service Specialties Sales Manager, presented a professional, knowledgeable overview of the system. He answered all of our questions, offered valuable energy saving tips on weatherizing our home, all without the high-pressure sales pitch. We are planning to replace the dated oil fired boiler system in our retail store which has an apartment on the second floor; this type of system will be a perfect fit as each section can be separately temperature controlled. more

Wonderful service and products 12/23/2014

I have been very pleased with Service Specialties Inc., and their replacement of our air-conditioning and furnace systems. Bacon, the service person who comes in, is wonderful in terms of his customer service. The other people who came here that followed up on us were also great. In the last couple of years, we have had them replace an air-conditioner and heating system. more
