Great Service, Saved me alot of time by recovering my data. 5/14/2011

I always dread calling any tech related company since I'm not much of a computer oriented kind of guy. I just don't speak their language. However my experience with Secure Data Recovery Services, Los Angeles location has been great, they were really able to explain to me what exactly happened, what they were doing, when it will be ready, etc - and most importantly how to prevent it from happening again. It was a good experience to deal with a company that actually cares about trying to help a person like me and understands how important it is for me. more

Performed full recovery 3/8/2011

I took my damaged usb stick to them for recovery purposes. The data was not mission critical, but it's something I would need down the line. Based upon the other quotes I received the pricing was competitive, the diagnostics was free, and this was a local company. After about a week of going back and forth I verified the data, seemed good to me. They transferred the files onto DVD which I was able to pick up the same day. I had no need for the USB stick, so I just let them hold on to it. Good job overall. more

The best at what they do, went above and beyond 3/5/2011

I am a busy person and when it comes down to it I am pretty bad with backing up my data, so when my hard drive crashed I was a little devastated. While doing my research I found this company online and brought in my damaged drive for the free diagnostics. They were open on Saturday and I took full advantage of it. Around Tuesday I received a call back with an estimate and the cost associated with the recovery process. I mulled it over and gave them the OK to continue. It took about 7-8 days to finish everything up. They emailed me a list of recovered files, folders, and extensions for me to verify. Everything seemed good. I came into the office to drop off my own external drive for them to transfer the recovered data onto, and while there I checked out the recovered data with my own two eyes, It was exactly like it was prior to the crash. All of my files work, the file structure is the same, I got all of my data back, and I am satisfied with the outcome and overall job performed by Data Recovery Services. I would gladly recommend this company to others and would use them again should an unfortunate failure occur once again. more

Excellent 2/22/2011

I had my data recovery process performed by this company. They did an outstanding job overall. I am local and after finding them on the internet I brought it in their office & dropped it off for the free diagnostics. Once the diagnostics was finished I had them continue and perform the recovery. I was able to verify the recovered data after the process finished. They transferred the recovered data onto a hard drive I provided them with. Overall I am satisfied. more

Job well done, got me out of a tight spot 2/16/2011

I am a photographer and recently finished shooting a wedding. Before I could even make an attempt to transfer images from the SD card onto my computer, the card became inaccessible. I had hundreds of photos on the SD card. If I didn't deliver these photos to my client, not only would I lose this job, I could possibly lose my reputation and future projects. I was in shock, I couldn't even stand. I had limited time to do something about this, and re-shooting wasn't an option. I contacted Data Recovery Services after I found them on the internet to see what my options are. The next day I brought the SD card for diagnostics and the next day or so I went to sleep with my fingers crossed under my pillow. On one end I have my client who's wedding I may have possibly ruined who I now have to stall for time, and on another end I am hoping I made the right decision and this company can recover the images. Once I heard back from Data Recovery Services, I got the good news I was hoping to hear. I was told the data is recoverable, it would take a few days, and they needed my approval to continue. I didn't hesitate and elected to continue with the recovery process. I was still sleepless a for a few nights, I needed to see the images with my own eyes to be relieved. It took about 3 days with their Standard Service after the diagnostics process to complete the recovery. I rushed over there to verify the content and once doing so I felt relived. Data Recovery Services got me out of a really tight situation, saved my reputation, and delivered lifetime of memories in the photos I took during the wedding to my client. Full recovery, great service 2/14/2011

I took my damaged disk to this company for the free diagnostics. I wasn't sure if I was going to do it or not. After received a quote, I decided not to continue and took it to some other shops that are local. After receiving further quotes the quote I received from Data Recovery Services was more competitive then others so I brought it back. They assured me they can still offer the same quote, they would need to re-diagnose it once more. It wasn't any surprise to me when the results came back exactly the same at which point I decided to have them perform the recovery. I was able to verify my files when the recovery was finished and I got all of my data back. The price was reasonable compared to other places I took it to. Overall I am satisfied and would recommend this company to others. more

Recovered all the data from my damaged hard drive 2/8/2011

Secure Data Recovery got me out of a tight spot when they recovered media files from my damaged external hard drive. The files on the disk were critical. I work for a production company and if we didn't get the footage back, not only would we have to re-shoot, but some of the work may not come out the same. I dropped off my hard drive with Secure Data Recovery for diagnostics. They called me back to go over the results. They said the likelihood of recovery is good, and more then likely they can restore the data. For me it was important that the data I get back is in working condition. The files stored on the damaged drive were Final Cut Pro files, and from what I heard those could become an issue. After discussing it further I gave them the green light to continue with the recovery. The service I received was good. I didn't have any issues getting thru to receive updates. I was periodically sent email with status. I received a phone call to verify the recovered information. On the recovery structure everything looked good, but I needed to see for myself if the data was actually working. My schedule is complicated, at times I am no where near on Mon-Fri basis due to shoots, so Secure Data Recovery was convenient enough to open up their office on a Saturday for me to verify the recovered files. I spent over an hour verifying critical files to insure on my end we got what we paid for. All my questions, all my issues, and all my doubts were addresses and erased after I found out for myself everything is intact. I was able to pick up my data there and then. I had an outstanding experience with Secure Data Recovery. They worked around my schedule and addressed everyone of my concerns. more

Satisfied with the amount of recovered data 6/4/2010

The people at Hard Drive Recovery Los Angeles lived up to the promise that was given to me when I initially called them up to inquire about a problem with my setup. The only thing that I was concerned with was the turnaround time for my case and if they could deliver it in time.
