Great food, best Thai restaurant for me. Great value for the food. Best is they open late. lately they are only accepting cash, bummer.

It's passable, and for the price, not too bad, but very definitely not very good. Stewed duck noodle soup....

My second kitchen 10/29/2002

Sanam Luang Cafe in North Hollywood is the best. The one in Hollywood is kindo of shadey, plus the waitresses are kind of snotty. If you do decide to have a meal at Sanam Luang, go to the North Hollywood Cafe. The selection is better, the people are more attentive, and they give you more food! I'm Over Sanam...Krua is Where To Be! 10/3/2002

Sanamluang in Hollywood is as ghetto as it gets. Ya, it might be ""hip"" but it is definitely overrated. There are plenty of Thai restaurants just around the corner...(I mean, c'mon, it's Thai Town for godsake. For better food, a more authentic (and cleaner) ambience, and ""The Green Room"" (karaoke room), try Krua Thai in Van Nuys. It's only about 15 minutes away from Hollywood and well worth the trip. sanamluang is cheap but mighty tasty. i always order the chicken over rice. the rice is slightly sweet, and they give you a cup of broth as well. get the seafood soup hot pot for your shrimp, squid, crab, mussel, fish fix. go here on a saturday nite, and you'll get lost in the sea of club hoppers. so service will be slow, but hey can't beat a late nite cafe that serves good food at great prices. you can get a whole dinner for under 10 bucks. don't forget the thai ice tea boba! Pros: boba, value Cons: crowded, slow service more

This thai restaraunt is one of the best hidden secrets in LA. I first went to Sanamluang in Hollywood, and a few months later, I accidently found the other one in the Valley. If you want a real Thailand experience, then go to the one in the Valley. Drinking Thai Iced Tea under the neon lights complete the experience. Pros: quick service, great selection, open till 4 am! I have been coming to SC for a long time now. The food is consistenly good, fresh and hot. The service has always been friendly and attentive. The hours are very long, so if you have an urge at 2AM for Thai food this is the place to get it. The area is a little sketchy, but other than that we recommend this place highly. Late night eating 6/12/2002

Just need to drop a note that this place is great for late night eating. When you are up at 1am, starving and don't know what to eat... come here! The crowd is... interesting, but the food is amazing. When you order spicy here, it certainly lives up to its potential. It will knock the alcohol right out of you.
