The food was excellent, the portions plentiful. It was meant for two and could have easily fed 4.

This was TERRIBLE, the cream cheese wontons tasted as if they were bad, the General Tao's chicken was WAY too sweet and not at all spicy, the chicken in general was burnt to a nea...

My Girlfriend and I ordered our food through there online ordering system. We waited 2 hours and called and they said it would be a few minuets. An hour went by and we called again. finally after 5 hrs the guy shows up. its now 11pm, they closed at 10pm. The guy hands us our food and the order is wrong. Us being extremely hungry bit the bullet and took the food. This has actually happened multiple times. Both the order inaccuracy and the wait time. I've order three times and will never EVER order from this COSTUMER HATING WASTE OF EXISTENCE again. Plus the food was school lunch status. more

I ordered online via grub hub at 4:29 PM and they gave me an estimated delivery time of 5:29PM so I waited patently. 5:29 rolled around. Nothing. 6:00 nothing. 6:30. Knock knock. I was so excited for my orange chicken, brown rice, egg roll, white rice, salad and strawberry lemonade, it didn't matter that they were AN HOUR LATE!!! So I cracked open my my Styrofoam boxes. Everything was there except my white rice. So I dug into everything else. Orange chicken. I expected flavor but like my white rice, it was missing. I ended up donating it to my dog. Egg roll, tiny but oh so delicious. Salad, eh, it was a salad. Brown rice, yummy. So all of that being said. I will NOT be ordering from san sauce again. more

Consistent Tasty Food & Great Service 4/14/2012

I am not normally a fan of Chinese food. However, my wife is, and has taken me a few times to San Sauce. I have to say the food actually tastes great, and has been consistent each time. They also were willing to customize my order to my taste. The service has been great each time. Good clean environment. more

Awesome Chinese 3/29/2012

I have been reading reviews on this Resteraunt and felt that I needed to tell my story. I am a business man from Arlington, Texas and have occassion to travel. My travels took me to the Salt Lake area last March (11). At the advice of a business associate I visited San Sauce one evening. The service was incredible. I was actually introduced to the Owner who asked me to try some of his sauces and each one had a unique and memorable flavor. The food was awesome. I had several things from the menu and everything was perfect. I will tell you how good it is. I have traveled to the Salt Lake City area at least five times in the last year and can tell you that I always make time to visit San Sauce and say Hi to the owner. more

Third times not a charm 3/25/2012

The reviews were kinda harsh about San Sauce but I thought that I would give them a chance anyway. The first time was alright, but it took and hour for our food to show up. The second time we ordered it took an hour and a half and part of our order was wrong. Tonight (03/25/12) was my final attempt. After waiting two and a half hours I called to find out where my order was. I was told that it was out for delivery and should be there in about 15 minutes, but that I could cancel the order and come pick it up myself. I told her that if it was only 15 minutes away then that would be pointless. Thirty minutes later I received a call letting me know it was on the way. When I told the guy that I was already told by someone else thirty minutes before that it was already on it's way, he replied, "" I wonder why she would tell you that"". I asked to speak to a manager but was told that they were out of town, the same thing they told me the last time I asked to speak with one. more

THEY CALL THIS CHINESE COOKING? 3/24/2012

My parents are retired Chinese restaurant owners and I was raised eating home cooked chinese meals. I am originally from the Bay Area (Chinatown) and know what the food should taste like. Unfortrunately, this place should not even be open. My husband and I ordered out: sweet & sour chicken which was chicken with a fried batter and separate sweet & sour sauce in a container. House special lo mein, Fisherman's Platter, wonton soup and beef with the string beans in black bean sauce. They call this chinese? This is ""tourist food"" is what my parents call it in which means that it was cooked american style. Just the worst food I have ever tasted. What a waste of money. I will never order from them again. And the food was cold. It would be nice if a Ho Ho Gourmet was located here. NOW THAT IS AUTHENTIC CHINESE COOKING. Take it from me who knows what Asian food should taste like. The people who think that this restaurant is good doesn't know what chinese cooking is all about. So sad.... more

Horrible Service, Manager Rude 1/16/2012

Ordered Take out from here, they forgot part of my order. Had to argue with the manager to refund my money and he was very rude and not helpful at all. I will never go there again. more

Great food, Fast Friendly service 12/8/2011

I ordered the Sesame Chicken and loved the flavor of the sauce. The veggies in the ham fried rice were very fresh and were nicely presented. The staff was friendly and my waiters were both awesome! One of my waiter, knowing that I had about an hour drive to get back home, offered to make me a drink to go to take with me for the ride home. I will be back again! more

Yummy Asian Cuisine! 8/10/2011

I was driving through Utah in need of authentic Chinese food. See, My sister lives in Shanghai (hubby's in the military.) After visiting them last winter I got spoiled off of all the delicious, authentic, tastes and spices! After searching on the Urban Spoon app it was a tough decision judging by reviews and menus on where to go. After almost giving up, I had a hunch to go to San Sauce. Their egg rolls took me right back! The Pineapple Chicken is heaven. I cannot tell you how amazing their food is! Try it today, you will love it! I hear their delivery is fast and on time too ;) more

Check your receipt and count your cash! 6/16/2011

The food was average and the service was horrible. I ordered the snowball shrimp takeout for lunch. The lunch Menu was $6.25 including tax and to add a side salad it was $0.50 more. Well I gave the Manager a $20.00 bill and he gave me $10.25 back. I asked for a receipt because I knew the funds he gave me back was insufficient. He said he will give me a receipt when the order was done. I asked him kindly to look over what he charged me. I told him you shorted me. He said sorry and handed me a dollar back without even verifying my order or the receipt to see if it was correct. By him doing this I knew he tried to cheat me on purpose. I told him he was still short. He's excuse was ""oh well you order the salad to go so its extra."" I told him that is false because on the menu it clearly states $0.50 more for a salad to go. When I said that he had nothing to say. I started to get frustrated and by this time he could tell. So he says let me get out my calculator. I told him don't bother, I have a calculator on my phone and it clearly shows your shorted me. He finally gave me the rest of my money but when doing so he was shacking his head and not one time did he apologize. You can tell he was shaken up a bit because, I caught him in the act of trying to steal from me. When I got my food, I asked him who was the GM? He says he's the owner of the resturant. I couldn't believe it. I'm not sure if he's lying or not, but I was really shocked of his behavior. As I was walking out he finally apologized and said sorry it was a mistake. I told him clearly that was NOT a mistake. My 6 year could tell you that. more

Amazing Food, Horrible Delivery Service 12/28/2010

The food is amazing but I have to say the delivery service is beyond ridiculous. We ordered at 6:50 pm. We got an email saying our order was complete at 7:17pm. It didn't arrive until 8:12 pm and we live 15 minutes away.This was also on a Tuesday night. To keep my business you will need to improve this drastically. more
