A lovely night with my love one, Thanks Sal's 2/19/2012

I have enjoyed Sal's resturant for years. I also was there on Valentine's Day. It was a very busy night. As I knew that it would be. I however exspected to wait they had know tables available when I walked in as well. It did take around 10 or 15 minutes for a table to open up. It was worth every minute of it. My food was excellent. The service was great. The only complaint I might of had was we didnt stay as long as we usually do because there were so many people coming in and we didnt want to tie up the tables. We seen many friends their as we always do. I just wanted to thank every employee their for making my night, a wonderful experience. more

Absolute WORST service....never will go back 2/15/2012

2nd time going to this place was Valentine's night. We walk in, the waitress turns around makes eye contact and then ignores us.......for 15 min as we are still standing at the door waiting for someone to acknowledge us. The 2 tables empty were dirty. I walked up and asked the cashier if someone could clear the table so we could sit down. She and the waitress said rudely ""We will get to it in about 10-15 min"". I said, ""well that would have been nice if someone let us know that, we've been standing at the door for 15 min"". They answered back again rudely 'Well, it's just the 2 of us here and the cooks in the back."" As we continued to stand at the door, we noticed ALL of the tables of people with NO food on them and all of the not so happy looks on other patrons faces. Several people were just throwing their food in to go containers and leaving....they were NOT happy. 1 waitress was supposed to be taking care of the ENTIRE restaurant. People were walking in to order to go food....and ended up just walking out. Several people at a table near the front door stood up and left...telling us that they had been there for quite some time and never even had their drink orders taken. Another couple near us said they had been sitting there for an HOUR and just then got their food. (It was only 6:20pm) What was ridiculous was that they had a Valentines Day menu on the tables (which wasn't cheap) but yet they had NO staff to facilitate the menu. How romantic right? NOT! The final straw was when another couple walked in after us.....and after another 10 min sat down at a cleared table.....and the waitress proceeded to take their drink order and continued to ignore us even though we had now been waiting for 25 min. RUDE RUDE RUDE can not even begin to describe this horrible restaurant. What a moron the owner must be not to have come in and made sure his/her restaurant wasn't falling apart.....they lost a ton of business last night from people walking out.....including us and all the people who will never go back.....including us. This place deserves to go out of business. more

Best Food in Springville 9/19/2011

We love, love, love this place. My kids have decided they could eat here every day of the week. Pizza on Monday, Salads on Tuesday, Lasagna on Wednesday, Steak on Thursday, Spaghetti on Friday, Subs on Saturday and Cannelloni on Sunday. You get the idea. Seriously, we love it all. The sizes are incredible and we always have enough left over to make another meal. The prices aren't bad either. Really nice owners and friendly staff. Wished I lived in Springville so I could get in on the free delivery. My recommendation for your first trip would be the pizza. They use Quality ingredients and hands down have the best pizzas I ever eaten. more

Wonders of a little Italian Restarant 6/8/2010

My family and i have been going to Sal's several times a month for the past year or so. The best times to go are on weekend evenings and lunch for Sunday. The first thing you relize as you walk in is the old building and flooring. The second are a few unwashed tables when they have a crowd. Your experince at sals is many determined by the waiter. The older the waiter the better service you will get, but most waiters are students from springville high. Most of the meals I have had at sal have been good during the lunch and dinner crowds. If you go during a slow hour I would sugest to get a pizza or calzone. The owner makes the dough himself. Dont get pasta if they are slow. Unless it is baked. My favorite item is the bacon pizza. The crust is always crispy brown and is always hot and fresh. If you are looking for the best time, get an older waiter and when there is a crowd. If you dont like i little dirt on the floor and a few cobb webs , than sals is your best bet for fresh pizzas and calzones. \r \r 3/5 cleanness\r 5/5 taste\r 3-4/5 service(depends on waiter) Pros: Pizza, Calzona, Bread, and Chicken cannelloni Cons: Little dirty, drinks refills slow more

Sals Italian Restarant – TERRIBLE!!! 3/9/2010

My husband and I, along with our 4 year old son, visited Sal's Italian Restaurant in Springville for the first time on a recent Friday night at about 6:30 p.m. The restaurant was not crowded and looked to be okay when we went in. After 15 minutes, a waitress finally came up to us to take our drink order. The booth we were sitting at had not been cleaned off from the previous guest and was still dirty. Only after she brought our drinks did she think to wipe the table – and then she asked us IF we wanted it cleaned...ummmm YES! We then ordered (this is after about 25 minutes being there). We ordered the chicken alfredo dish and my son a personal pizza. 30 minutes after that, our salads came. The salads were okay and tasted good. The bread that came out with that was good as well. Then our food came. It was DISGUSTING. The noodles in the chicken alfredo were gummy and tasteless and I'm not exaggerating. There was no salt, no pepper, no taste. The chicken was gross. My sons personal pizza was burnt around the edges, so much so that he would hardly touch it. By this time we had been there for well over an hour. I had to flag down a waitress to ask her to bring our check (mind you there had been no one to come by to ask to refill our drinks, ask if we were okay, etc.). After our check came and we had the payment on the table, she never returned to get it. I had to personally take it up to the register and it was $40.45 for that awful meal. We did take three to go boxes full of the food – FOR THE DOGS! That was the most expensive dog food I've ever bought. Your best bet – Go across the street to Del Sol's Mexican Restaurant. The food AND SERVICE there are fantastic. Should have stuck to what we knew was good! At least now we know not to go back there EVER. Cons: Waitresses, food, atmosphere more
