Salon and Spa Venessa

I have been having my hair done by Dawn Futch for several years now. She was my daughter's stylist, and my kid's step-mother's stylist. They always had great color, so I decided to keep it in the family and go to her too! I loved the Salon and Dawn. The Salon has a great atmosphere and the ladies are all friendly and professional. I always get compliments on my color! I have plenty of choices between Kennesaw and Woodstock, but it is worth the drive and easy on my wallet. more

Venessa Salon & Spa is hands down the BEST spa that I have ever been to! The staff treat every client like royalty! If you want pampering and 5 star service, you need to make an appointment TODAY! more

This salon has been my go-to spot for fourteen years now and I can't imagine going anywhere else for hair styling and overall pampering. I can't imagine being disappointed. The bar has been set at a high level, and met everytime! more

I've been getting my hair done at Salon and Spa Vanessa for 3 years now. I've had my hair cut my three different stylist and have received great cuts from all three. Brittany Durham is my current stylist and I adore her. I simply show up and let her work her magic---I don't even have to tell her what I want because I know that whatever she chooses is going to be flattering and easy for me to style on my own. The receptionists are always sweet and welcoming---which isn't always the case at some salons. I've only received spa services twice...both times I had my eyebrows waxed and they did an excellent job. more

I use Mary for my hair needs, she is AWESOME! I also enjoy the atmosphere while waiting for my color to process. All staff are always professional and treat you respect. KUDOS to the girls up front for there proptness in checking you in and helping with products. more

Went in for my appointment 15 min late and was refused service. The staff was very rude and unwilling to help. The management and owner are very unprofessional! The manager that I dealt with never went to cosmetology school. How can you manage a business and not have a background in the service? Scary stuff! The owner has quite the reputation among the other merchants in the area of being rude, snobby, and unhelpful. If you have a issue here don't expect it to be resolved! more

I have been going to Salon and Spa Venessa for several years for massages and facials. I even got my husband hooked on massages there! I am now a loyal customer of the hair salon as well. My hair needed rescuing after a horrible haircut from another salon. I called Salon Venessa and they were able to work me in for a cut with Venessa that night to fix it. Venessa did a great job - she totally repaired the horrible cut, evened out and blended in the layers. I got so many compliments on my hair the next day, that I may keep my hair like this! Great place - you can trust them with your hair! more

My first visit was today, I saw Leah for color and Andrea for a bikini wax, both were awesome!! I made my next appointment before I left and the prices are really good too. The atmosphere was great! Kathy at the front desk was super nice as well. The smell in an Aveda salon is just the best. My hair and skin smell so good from the hair products Leah used and the hand lotion I tried. I used to live in Atlanta and this is the best salon/spa I have found since moving here 7 years ago. Would definitely recommend to anyone!!! Pros: Everything more

The best thing about Salon Spa Vanessa is the loving care they offer. You can get your image renewed at their hair and Aveda beauty stations downstairs and then go upstairs to their private spa area where you can get facials, nails, and whole body therapy. Its one of the best salon type spa's you'll find. But if you're looking for a Sonoma style complete spa, that isn't available in GA to my knowledge. Go to California or elsewhere. If you're looking for rehab style spa - massage treatments, this isn't it. This is just a great retreat and pamper style spa. Good people, great environment and a nice afternoon. I've also seen many couples take the treatments together here... a nice little episode. more

I love the location of this spa! The charming old house is very nice settled in Woodstock. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but that's what SpaFinders are for, right? :) My massage was wonderful, one of the best I've received around.. I loved the aromatherapy and the foot bath! more

I have been to other salons throughout Atlanta, and I have paid ridiculous prices without half the results of Salon Spa Venessa. I have recently switched stylists and Leah does my hair now. I adore her. She's done everything from bangs to layers throughout my hair, and has ALWAYS done a great and professional job. It's nice when I get random compliments on my hair, and I always tell them to go see Leah at Salon Spa Venessa. I have been a client to this salon for over 6 years and would never go any place else. These folks know their color and cuts and are up on the latest and greatest looks. I have also had facials and pedicures and can tell you they are wonderful. They do not rush you in and out the door, they take their time and it is a very relaxing environment. No matter which services I have had, I always leave relaxed and refreshed! Pros: Very kind and experienced staff! Cons: I can't think of one. more

My situation was very delicate...I had an extreme health situation with part of my head shaved for a procedure and felt very self-conscious and embarrassed. My husband overrode me and called Vanessa herself to explain the situation. She was extremely kind and caring and took me herself...because of that treatment, I never went anywhere else and have been a faithful customer for 4 years now. Erin does my hair and I absolutely LOVE her. She always makes me feel comfortable and relaxed, and is great at what she does. As long as I can afford it, I will never go anywhere else. I've been a customer of Salon/Spa Venessa for a year now. I only have wonderful things to say about it - fr. the location, ambiance, services, affordable prices, Aveda products, & salon/spa staff to the people who actually work w/ me (Janet, Amy, Shane, Erin & Christine). I get weekly massages fr. Janet, monthly facials & waxing fr. Amy, & strive to get monthly manicures & pedicures fr. Shane. I've also received hair & make-up services fr. Erin & Amy respectively. I've received a body polish fr. Amy & recently had a hair cut & a damage remedy treatment fr. Christine. I am in this spa EVERY week! I've been treated only w/ courtesy & professionalism by each & every staff I've had the chance of meeting/working with. Services are top notch! Prices are affordable considering they use Aveda products. I love the series prices where I basically get the 6th service free! Awesome! Regarding the review about using cheaper products, I wonder why the quality/scent of the products would stay the same if this is happening. I buy Aveda products from Salon/Spa Venessa & fr. Aveda stores at the malls. The products I choose to use for my services are the ones I typically buy & there's no difference that I can tell. I am surprised at the negative reviews recently, mostly reviews about management & the front desk, nothing about the services. Makes me wonder if these reviews are from former employees out to get Salon/Spa Venessa. In the one year that I've been a customer, some people have left to work for another salon/spa or to actually start their own business. It appears to me that these new business ventures are being mentioned under Salon/Spa Venessa's reviews. Trying to get business maybe?! I highly recommend Salon/Spa Venessa. They have a loyal customer in me. I've gotten my co-workers gift cards for Salon/Spa Venessa. Those who've used the gift cards plan to come back. I wouldn't recommend any other salon/spa in the area. I have been going to Salon and Spa Venessa for a good while now, and I always thought that they used the best products, and had great pople working there. I ave recently found out that they use cheap suff and put it in the expensive bottles, they reuse the bottles. After finding out this information from a former hair stylist, I will never go back. I currently work at ssv, and when I saw the comment on how we re-use bottles and put "cheap" product in the expensive bottles...I was dumbfounded. I've never heard of something so silly. I have only been with the company for some short time, But Venessa Lanier is a very wonderful bussiness owner, she loves Aveda and that is why she has poured her heart and soul into her bussiness. People shouldn't write bad reviews because of one person. I wouldn't work at this salon if I didn't love it and believe in it. Please try it out for yourself and not based on someones biased review.
