You can't imagine the number of compliments I recieve after Frank, the owner, cuts and colors my hair!!! I rarely come in knowing what I want and still he always gets it just right! And not only that, I feel confident, beautiful, and appreciated when I leave! Many of the same employees have been there since they opened and it is nice to have that family business kind of feel in a salon. Every one of their ultra stylish employees are courteous, professional, and friendly. Any kind of wait is worth it considering the personal attention given to every customer and the awesome way you'll look and feel when you leave! Salon DeSante is the only place I trust to cut mine and my daughter's hair! Frankie is the absolute best cut and color person around. All the staff are fantastic and talented! They have the most comfortable and friendly atmosphere and always make sure that you are happy! more

I loved this salon. I have been bouncing around for years getting my hair cut and colored by different people. I can honestly say this is the happiest I have been to date. I love my auburn hair with my blonde highlights. Maria was nothing but helpful and her assistant Lauren was the same. They both were friendly and courteous. Never once did I feel unconfortable talking about what I wanted to have done. They both knew exactly what they were talking about as well. Maria is very passionate about her trade and really enjoys what she does. I can honestly say that I will be going back there and cant wait for another visit! Oh and by the way I was taken right away, as soon as I walked in the door my hair was started. Pros: Friendly, Knowledgable, Curtious Cons: none I can think of more

Sad to say this, but I walked out of the salon because once again I had to wait for a half hour after my scheduled appointment! My stylist, who I've been with for six years, never came out to apologize and the assistant lied about her finishing up. Clients came in after me and were going back for their haircuts before me. I've always received great cuts but I do not have time to wait around, what is the sense in making an appointment?! I feel that my business and loyalty was not appreciated so now I will find a salon that does appreciate my business! Pros: Very hip salon Cons: Snooty stylists, ridiculous wait time more

I recently visited Salon Desante where I had a hair cut, low lights, and highlights. I have been visiting salons to have my hair done since I was 15 years old and I must say that I have never been treated with more courtesy and respect as I did the day I walked into that salon. My appointment was nearly on time and the reception staff was more than pleasent and ready to accomodate my every need. From a refreshment to a huge magazine library. When I met with my stylist Frank, I was so impressed with his knowlege of hair fashion and appreciated so much the passion he had regarding his trade. I learned he has studied hair in Paris, Italy , and New York and I liked the fact that he was up to date with all the trends, products and then some. His staff was the same way. Very passionate and you could just tell that Frank, the salon owner instilled those passions in them. I was so nervous to get 4 inches taken off my hair and to try something different. I just had a baby and was feeling less than glamorous and I needed a change. Frank provided that for me. He listened to me and my needs and knew EXACTLY what I wanted. Needless to say, I am that glamorous new mom that wanted and thought i could be. I walked in there drab, and left looking FAB!!!! I have never been happier and felt more beautiful. I have had experiences at various salons where I would tell them what I wanted and they acted like they were listening but I would walk out very disappointed and dissatisfied. At Salon DeSante they actually listened to what I said and I finally got the hair style that I wanted! They were even so helpful with explaining how to style my hair in different ways based on the hair cut Frank had given me. Across the board Salon DeSante is by far the best Salon I have been to. The receptionist is extremely attentive and I had just sat down after checking in and she asked if wanted a beverage and engaged in conversation with the waiting clients. I felt like I was walking into a family business whos employees had known me for years. They now have a regular customer with me. Pros: The salon is very hip and the ambience sets a very relaxing mood. more

As a client of Salon DeSante I felt the need to respond to the last review. Whoever ginat282 is, she's delusional!!! To insinuate that Frank DeSante's actions/behavior were inappropriate borders on slander and is harassment at the highest level. There is no one more professional with his clients than Frank. His clients are his life, as is his business. He is a gentleman and upstanding individual who would never jeopardize what he worked so hard to achieve. A good stylist should ALWAYS study the face of their client. The cut has to fit the face. I guess that's why you were satisfied with your haircut. I'd also like to know just who she questioned about him???? If your comfort level was disturbing enough to prompt this offensive, harmful, personal attack, why didn't you just leave????????? You know your statements are false. Why would you want to damage anyone's reputation as a human being?? This is the best salon around!! Pros: I love it all!! Cons: None more

Salon DeSante is a HoT Spot!!! From the second I walked in the stylish salon I was treated like royalty. I was so suprised by the knowledge that my stylist had on styling and coloring. I went into the Salon not feeling so great about myself, but let me tell you when I left I felt like a million bucks! During my appointment I was informed that the staff travels frequently to various parts of the country to further their education, and the owner Frank travels to Europe a few times a year. Due to their extensive knowledge the stylist are able to provide their clients with up to date color techniques and styles. Knowledge, friendly, great products and talent, if these are things you look for in a salon then I would recommend Salon DeSante! Pros: Knowledge, Atmosphere, friendly and family like staff more

Yes, this salon does great color, but you are left to wait for hours. Plan on arriving late, because they will not take you back at your scheduled time, but 30 minutes after, and between each process, you are left to wait about 20 minutes. Frank is great at matching color and style to your face, but he takes FOREVER! While I was there, he was constantly taking phone calls, even in the middle of my hair cut! If you have nothing to do and don't mind the wait, and have money to burn, try this salon. more

I stopped going here because of the wait. I always had to wait at least 20-30 minutes to be seen for my scheduled appointment. The haircuts that I got were good, but sometimes I didn't feel like I got the service you should get for the price that is charged. Pros: atmosphere Cons: wait more

I definately enjoyed my experience at Salon Desante. Although I was there for a long time it was well worth it. They did a cut, color and a facial for me and I have never been so impressed! They even bought me lunch since I was there during that timeframe. Frank is very knowledgeable when it comes to color. I received complement after complement and was able to keep it "up" with my hair long after I left. I heard about the salon since they were one of the very few businesses in the area that supported a fundraiser that my company was sponsoring. Great place, great atmosphere! Wow, I went in Salon DeSante and I came out looking great! The color was very chic! Frank, the owner of Salon DeSante looked at me suggested what I should do and took over, I never have so many different highlights and lowlights in my hair. The color was right out a magazine. The salon is so fun and friendly. No attitude in this Salon, only fun and polites employees. Starting from the recepitionist who is so sweet, down to the assistants and nail technican, so fun. While you are getting your hair there, they are so accomodating, I had a manicure/pedicure and at the end of the day, I even had my make-up done. Every stylist takes the time with their clients (as I observed). Frank travels to France and Italy annually and brings back the hair fashion in Europe. This Salon is a must to all. more

They took me for my appointment 45 minutes late. Then proceeded to make me wait 15-20 minutes between processes even after I said I had an engagement to get to. I was so upset that I was late for the engagement, that I didn't even really get to look at my highlights & cut before leaving the salon. My hair looks horrible, I hate the cut & the color. Some of my roots were not touched up correctly & I am so bummed because this whole thing cost almost $200 with tip! Why did I tip? more
