One of the best restaurants in Seattle I've been to. Excellent. more

Top notch in every way! 4/22/2012

I've been to Russell's several times and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious. Their sea scallops are much better than the ones I tried at Sea Starm and their filet mignon is perfection! Service is also wonderful and the decor is warm and inviting. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an intimate, fine dining experience. more

Russel's a Jewel found in Bothel. 2/5/2011

Just returned from a wonderful dinner for 4 at Russell's. Service was A+ and the dinner was wonderful. We all had the fillet and the steak was perfect. It was as good as anything I have had from the Metropolitan Grill for $20 less. Great local Woodinville wine list. and fair prices. All in all the best dinner I have had out in a very long time. The owner Rob was the most gracious host. This jewel is worth finding. Just off I-405 at exit 24. more

Ask For Rob, he'll take care of you! 2/19/2010

I recently visited Russell's Dining in Bothell for a Private Unreleased Wine Tasting with Cooper, a Red Mountain Winery, and menu pairing! \r \r The location is not favorable, however once you get past where the restaurant is situated, your time spent at Russell's will be well worth the drive. \r \r Russell's is inside a Historic Registered Barn, which the culinary team has made impressive renovations. \r \r I had the opportunity to taste a variety of dishes that Russell's specializes in. The Risotto Cakes are creatively prepared, and taste delicious. If you are a fan of Sliders Russell's definitely has a preparation that you will enjoy. So whether you go with a huge appetite or want to simply enjoy some small plates, Russell's really caters to everyone.\r \r If you are into Wine and enjoy going to Woodinville and touring wineries head to Russell's on a Friday afternoon and take advantage of the Shuttle Winery Tour Promotion. \r \r When you do visit Russell's do not leave without saying hello to Rob! However, Rob will probably find you first, he is a knowedgeable wine enthusiast and total foodie.\r \r Cheers! Pros: Private Event Space, Unique Wine Selection, Energetic Staff Cons: Location more

A lot of potential 1/28/2010

So apparently Russell's has been in Bothell for over 3 years - I have lived here just over 2. I never knew about this place until I started to attend Eastlake Church, and it was even a year after that even though the restaurant is right next store. Bothell doesn't have a lot of dining options - at least more upscale ones, so Russell's has a huge opportunity that it doesn't seem they are taking advantage of. The restaurant decor, seating, etc, is all top notch. We went there though, and it was totally dead. While we don't necessarily go to a place just by how many people are there, it is nice to have a little background noise. I swear you could hear a pin drop. The least they could do was have some music in the background...or maybe let people know they exist! So despite that, there are many good things about this place. The food for one - My husband I believe had some pork chops that he keeps talking about. I can't get the dessert out of my mind. We had some great wine, and the manager even let us try a few dessert wines out to figure out the one we liked best. We got a lot of attention, which I guess should be expected since there weren't too many others to pay attention to. We will definitely go back, but I hope more people discover them so they end up being able to stick around! Now they just need to add some atmosphere, and I think this would be my new favorite place closest to home. Pros: dessert was the best Cons: ambience could use some work more

What a Surprise! 5/31/2009

We went to Russell's after hearing so much about it!\r Oh Boy what a delight!\r Great wine, wonderful food!\r The first time we had the fillet mignon... it's the ""you can cut it with the fork"" kind, melting in your mouth!\r We keep going back, everything is so yummi! The chicken, the fettuccini all good! Oh and the scallops! And my favourite, the halibut!\r But the biggest plus for me: this is the place where I can take my friends, family and know that the food and service will be great.... can't go wrong woth Russel's!\r Hope you'll enjoy it too! more

Hidden cow outlet. 3/24/2009

The wife and I went here a few months back after hearing about it from several folks in our area. Good to find a nice steak joint without having to venture too far outside the neighborhood. Atmosphere is a little lacking in terms of the ambiance and decor (the wife calls me a restaurant snob, and it's true) but food is great, staff was very friendly, and has a nice bar area to wait for a table. Pros: Great local venue for good steaks. Casual atmosphere. Cons: Very hard to find. A bit on the pricey side. more

Russells in Bothell under rated and under exposed 12/30/2008

the food and atmosphere is so inviting. It is a fine dining high end restaurants. Russell is a well known caterer and makes amazing food. He is willing to go beyond the extra mile to satisfy you and your tastebuds. This place has not been open very long and is located in a corporate lot so there are a lot of businesses surrounding. It can be hard to find if you are not familiar with Bothell, but is definately worth searching for. Russells in bothell is a well hidden diamond that needs to be shown. I recommend visiting Russells and telling all of your friends about it. WWW.RDLCATERING. 425-486-4072 more

Not worth the time... 11/23/2007

am not sure these other reviewers went to the same Russell's. I work in the office park where Russell's is located and refuse to go there anymore. The food is overpriced and the wait staff is rude. For a typical lunch which might be a chicken sandwich on foccicia bread, you will wait 20 minutes and pay $8 and feel like you inconvenienced them. The sandwich will be about the size of a CD jewel case and is probably 70% bread. Along with this you get a wonderful 4 piece assortment of thinly sliced fruit. The last straw for me was going down to get breakfast where I paid $7.35 for a piece of quiche that was smaller than a post-it note (I wish I could post the picture I took of it). I have been there for dinner and had a beef carpaccio and the filet mignon. The appetizer was bland and the filet was a good cut and wasn't too bad however the fingerling potatoes that accompanied it were waxy and overcooked. Imitating a high-class restaurant, the chef comes out and she asks how your meal was. I said it was fine and left it at that as I am not usually one to complain, I just won't go back. I really wanted to tell her that salt was not a privilege and would suggest they purchase some and start using it while cooking. Aside from the food, the atmosphere is equal to that of your normal little town cafe with dimmed lighting, again trying to imitate a big restaurant. You are so close to everyone it is very hard to hold a conversation while sitting in your little wooden chair or wooden bench on a tile floor. more

Best hidden secret in Bothell 9/9/2007

The rustic ambiance and collective menu is great for intimate dining or groups. The staff was warm and friendly and everyone greeted you as you enter. The first time we came we were surprised to see that the restaurant was barely half way full on a Friday night but the second time we visited we were ecstatic to see that the crowd has grown to fill the bar and dining area. Happy hour is exceptionally priced and offers a comfortable and quaint lounge. The food was seasoned to perfection and obviously cooked by a pro. The duck, lamb and fillet mignon was absolutely to die for! The menu also offered a vegetable napoleon menu which would appeal to vegetarians alike. The service was exceptional with well-trained staff and knowledgably wine selections. Be sure to make reservations as this place is becoming very popular! Pros: Service, knowledge, food cooked to perfection, plenty of parking Cons: hidden near office buildings more

excellent food, setting, & price 8/5/2007

In my opinion Russell's is one of the best finds in Bothell. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the food is not only excellent but excellently priced! The restaurant is located in a converted barn and gives the feeling of being in wine country. The atmosphere is warm and the staff is friendly. The wine list features many of our best local wines and the menu features something for everyone... seafood, steak, duck, pork, lamb, etc... Everything that we tried was phenomenal and we were pleased to discover that the most expensive entree was $29. I definately would definately recommend that you give Russell's a try. more
