Perfect Ending to a Not So Perfect Day 10/26/2011

After a terrible morning dealing with Walter's Well and Pump Service being told all the wrong information. Rural Plumbing and Heating sent a guy out to my house. We pulled the pump from the well and replaced everything including 380 ft. of wire, rope, and pipe on a new pump. The old pump had sprung a leak at the coupling that attached the old pipe to the old pump. Much better solution than Walter's which was wait until fall or drill another well. I would highly recommend Rural Plumbing and Heating. more

Disappointed in Customer Service 7/26/2011

I purchased a unit that was at a lower cost than the one I had originally planned to get. The difference was $500.00. My unit was financed and I received a bill for the higher amount which was wrong. I contacted the person who sold me the unit and he said that he would have Wells Fargo complete new paperwork for the right amount. I never heard anything back, so I called Wells Fargo and they knew nothing about this. In the meantime, a payment was due for the loan I received. I contacted Brint who sold me the unit and he told me that I would have to talk to Wes. I went to see Wes and he wasn't there. In the meantime the loan payment is due for the wront amount and will be late since the paperwork was not corrected. Bad business!! more

Backs their work 4/8/2010

\r \r High quality install in 2008; needed service approx. 11/2 years later. Backed their work, and serviced the installation without any questions. Pros: quality initial install; stand behind work Cons: secrtetary / receptionist can be somewhat unhelpful more

Honesty and Integrity 1/26/2010

We are long time customers and have ALWAYS had superior service and work of the highest quality. Their men are courteous and very knowledgeable about what they are doing. They explain what the problems are and what it will take to fix them. You are never caught by surprise as to the cost of service nor the estimated time it will take to finish. I just recommended them to my neighbor. The management is truthful, flexible, and willing to work with you. I recommend Rural Plumbing and Heating without hesitation! Thank you guys! Pros: Dependable and Honest Cons: Can't think of any more

Just Terrible , Nice people , But never again 9/11/2009

Ok when you hire a company to do work. Do you think they should be putting in inferior and in most states fittings that are against code. Plastics cheap junk. Well lets just say untill I had to threaten with a legal action for the dmage that was created by their choice and workmenship of parts to use they saved about $25 and it cost in damage what some houses cost in Raleigh. \r The upside is . The conversations where in general civil and its done. the down side was I should have to threaten. It was a complete and total BAD job on overview. Oh and we found another leak just 2 weeks ago. Good job thanks, next time I will hire out of the homless shelter Pros: Worst Cheap Cost thousand to fix mistake Cons: It was only a HHHUUGGGGEEEE mess more

I must say that I have nothing but praise for Rural Plumbing & Heating Company. We recently had plumbing problems at our 1940s vintage North Raleigh home, which were deemed unsolvable by three other prominent Triangle plumbing companies. I was advised by a local plumbing inspector to call Rural because as he put it ?they are the grandfather of all plumbing companies in this area?. I called them as was advised that before they send out a service technician they would have the Service Manager meet me to advise the best course of action. The manager came out at exactly the time he said he would be there, and within ten minutes had uncovered the root of our problem and suggested the most economical solution, saving us thousands of dollars. My only regret is that I did not call them first. more

Customer Service 4/2/2007

Rural Plumbing and Heating has been in business since 1947 and since the beginning, they have done their best to give their customers in the Triangle great service at reasonable rates. I have found them very willing to resolve any problems I might have with them or their service - Sixty years of service to me means someone I can count on when I need help! Pros: Pleasant service technicians Cons: could experience a waiting period during peak heating and cooling times more

Steer Clear! 1/9/2007

Unhelpful and rude customer service to start. Made the mistake of giving them the benefit of the doubt scheduling services anyway. After taking the afternoon off from work the plumber NEVER SHOWED UP! To add insult to injury, the unfriendly customer service rep blew me off simply saying they couldn't get out my way. Terrible Customer Service 11/16/2005

I don't have a lot of experience with this type of company, but received horrible customer service from Rural personnel. Our furnace went out and we had 6 visits before our furnace was actually fixed (one of which they charged $83, but didn't do anything because the heat happened to come on). On the second to last visit (the second visit that day), the serviceman actually called me away from work again at 4pm, went into our basement and about 15 minutes later decided that he was going to ""blow me off until tomorrow."" If it's standard for this industry to hire them to be on their schedule, maybe it was fine but I will not use them again. more
