Bait and switch. They refused to honor the quotation and charged me double including all kinds of add on miscellaneous charges. avoid if you can even if it is for warranty repairs... more

They are very overpriced and would 6/7/2012

They are very overpriced and would rather loose a repeat customer than work with the customer on an inflated bill - $135 labor and travel charge to install a $35 part. They were at my home for about 15 minutes. This company charges way too much and made their last visit to my home. Ex-customer as of yesterday. more

ONE OF THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS 3/28/2012

I have been using Royal Appliance since 2006 for all my rental properties as well as my own personal home. Have had nothing but the best experience with their services and will continue to use them as long as they are in business. Kudos to Royal Appliance and Staff. more

Overpriced repair service with liars who work there 8/4/2011

I have a Dacor Epicure range so there are 2 repair services in the area who are qualified to work on them. Royal has been on the list for Dacor for many years so I used them. When I called I told them what was wrong with the Dacor and spoke to the parts guy and he told me they have the part and would send it with the repair person. When the guy arrived he told me he did not bring the part but wanted to diagnose it first. I told him that Dacor and the parts person and Royal had already diagnosed it and I was told they would send the part with the repair man. He called and the parts guy denied that he had told me he had the part. I then had to wait another 3 days and got an additional charge in addition to the part that was over $300. Spare yourself aggrevation and call the next one on the list. I will NEVER use this company again. Their prices are at least $100 more in labor than their competitors and I do not trust their work. more

Absolutely WORST service ever 4/27/2011

I was forced to use these guys because of a warranty. They service Electrolux appliances. Horrible experience. Technicial came out Monday to look at the dryer and washer (not even a year old) and when he left the washer flooded THREE ROOMS in the house. Two days later, they still haven't come back to fix the washer they broke. Horrible horrible service. Go just about anywhere else. more

Great Job repairing my refrigerator 11/9/2010

These people are the friendliest, most helpful company I've had the pleasure to do business with in a long time. They were so down to earth. Went in to purchase what I thought was an ""easy"" fix for my fridge. They were willing to sell me the part but showed me on the computer what other problems I ""might"" run into and because they seemed so sincere and honest I decided to let them send a technician out to repair and sure enough it was more than I could have even imagined. They were on time and very fair in price. I would definitely recommend them and use them again! more

BEWARE! 10/18/2010

Beware of these guys! The repairman did his job but then charged me close to double what was quoted over the phone. Unlike most reputable service companies who charge for LABOR + PARTS, Royal Appliance charges a TRIP FEE + LABOR + PARTS. This was not advertised when I called for a quote on services. Use these people at your own risk. You will easily pay about 35% - 40% more than you should be by using this group. I wish I would have found these reviews on this page before becoming another victim. more

Rip off 2/18/2010

They told me the part I needed was discontinued but offered me a similar part from another similar number. Saying they couldn't guarantee it would work. What am I supposed to do if they are no longer making the parts?? So I order it. We rig the stove top so it works ok. Then a few months later it stops working right so I go on the hunt for the proper part. Accidently called Royal but didn't realize it until I had the guy searching for the part. He said he could get it, no problem....$89. Previous part $115. I was shocked so i took the schematics and receipt down there telling them the lied to me and sold me a wrong part when the REAL part was indeed available. They wouldn't make it right - only offered me to buy another part. So kind of them. I am contacting the BBB. Pros: close to the house, easy access from I-45 Cons: Read below and don't Go! more

Avoid Royal Appliance Like The Plague 11/12/2009

Started almost a month ago- on first visit was told it was one part which was ordered. Part came in and it was the wrong part so they reordered. Came and put in the correct part and it didn't fix it. Ordered another part and came out to my house for the 3rd time and installed the part everything worked- asked me whether I wanted to leave the other un-needed part installed and I said no. They put back the supposedly good part and this burnt out another. Now they are saying that they want to charge me for that as well. Trying to decide whether or not to let them come out and try for a fourth time... Pros: Good Communicators of Appt times Cons: Parts Changers Not Technicians more

Royal Appliance is terrible 1/26/2009

Tech came out 2 times to repair my dryer that was under warranty. Same part broke within the ""90 day guarantee""...Royal refuses to honor. Terrible company! more

Pick another company 10/31/2008

Our [out of warranty] Jenn-Air oven control keypad failed. I found Royal Appliance listed on the Jenn-Air website as a qualified repair company. The technician came out and confirmed what I had already told the Royal repair call center, the control keypad had failed. I knew it was the keypad since it had failed once before. The confirmation cost $85. The part was ordered and 3 weeks later the repairman returned with the WRONG part! He didn't even notice it was different than what he just removed until I told him it was different. I was promised a call within 24 hours about the part availability and the rescheduled installation date. No call. I had to call Royal twice to find out it will be another 5 days. At least they didn't try to charge me for attempting to install the wrong part. Cons: Poor customer service, slow response more

AVOID Royal Appliance at all cost!!!!! 10/24/2008

I was not happy with the service I received from Royal Appliance on my Kitchenaid appliances. I was having trouble with my fridge and dishwasher not working. The fridge got fixed on the first trip and it took 3 more trips to finally get the dishwasher fixed. Problems ranged from service techs not being thorough to simply not doing their job at all. On the third trip a service tech came out to install a part and the wrong part was in the box. He told me he would call to check on getting a new correct part and would get back with me in 45 min. He never called back. When I called into the main office about 2 hrs later I found out he had never even called in to check on anything at all. I had previously spoken with a manager about the difficulties I was having and he agreed to take $20 off the labor. When the service tech came out again (the fourth trip) to installed the correct part the dishwasher finally worked but the labor price for about 15 mins of work was $60 minus the $20 making it $40. When they came to fix my fridge about 4 weeks earlier it was $40 labor for about 15 min of work. Looked fishy to me so I called the manager and asked for an explaination and he said labor prices range between $40 and $300 depending on what is being done. I don't buy it and neither should you. Do NOT use this company! Cons: Take too long, not reliable, not honest more
