My husband and I are both musicians, he plays the guitar and some keyboard and I grew up playing flute and piano. We tried in the very beginning to teach our children but it did not work. They never quite took us seriously enough. \r

Being musicians actually put us in an awkward position because as musicians, we had high expectations of a school and teacher for our kids. Max, my 9 year old showed the most potential and Sabrina my 7 year old daughter showed the most interest and Ethan, my 5 year old showed the greatest ability to copy either one.\r
\r
We tried teachers that came in to the home but it never quite ""panned"" out. We also tried two schools, but found the teachers were either in-experienced or not very reliable or consistent. \r

A friend of ours who is also a musician referred us to the Royal Academy. We knew from the first lesson, we found the right place for our kids. From a musician's standpoint, they are awesome! They teach everything exactly how any musician would expect to be taught. There were teaching methods that I even picked up from them while I sat in with my little one Ethan. \r
\r
What was also important to my husband and myself was that our children enjoy their lessons, we did not want it to be a chore for them and the Royal Academy had a great way of working with each of my children on an individual basis. Each lesson for my children was customized differently to suit their personalities, interest and goals while they maintained all the music fundamentals. A juggling act if you ask me!\r
\r
We love the Royal Academy so very much and it is so refreshing to be able to voice that with other parents considering music lessons for their kids. Don't waste your time...""Pass Go"" and go straight to the Royal Academy!\r
\r
Thanks Royal Academy!\r
