Need a plumber? I've used Roto-Rooter in Kansas City for my annual main line clean-out for years. Called them at 12:10, tech here and gone with job complete by 2:15. Prompt, professional service and no extra charge for work on Saturdays. Emilio was courteous and professional; will ask for him by name next time! more

We are simply thrilled with the work done by Roto-Rooter in resolving a sewer drainage problem that caused the WORST kind of flood in our basement! Phillip (our first responder) truly saved our newly remodeled basement and Jimmy managed the repair of the outside sewer line. They were fast and extremely helpful and competent. Plus their care and caution prevented what might have been a devastating repeat of the flood. We truly recommend that you use their camera service to check the line. They were on time careful and came in under-budget.HIGHLY recommended! more

Three days after our pedestal sink was 5/11/2012

Three days after our pedestal sink was fixed by Roto-Rooter of Kansas City, our basement flooded after heavy rains. Fun times. We had never had the problem before. After clearing out the water once, it rained again and of course, it backed up again, so we called the plumber, who had JUST been at our house a few days prior. We just wanted it unclogged. The plumber was helpful, but kept saying, ""That's a lot of water"" which I'm assuming if a plumber says that, it's not a good sign. Thankfully it has stayed unclogged. more

Excellent service tech 3/26/2012

Called this morning and within 2 hours Emilio was here and fixed my main line. He even tried to clean the walls where the last company had made a mess (It's in an unfinished basement). He explained what was probably causing my problems (my house was built in the 40's), I will definitely keep Emilio's name in my address book for the next time I need Roto Rooter. (darn tree roots). He was very neat both in appearance and in his work. Very polite. Thank you Emilio!!! more

The Roto-Rooter service representative, Emilio, showed up in a very pleasing time frame. He was extremely professional and quite friendly. We're the kind of people who likes to ask a lot of questions more so to be educated about the situation. Emilio was very knowledgeable and patient with us. He explained the cost of service and made us aware of the service coupon that could be used for the service. The time of service took about 30 minutes which were were pleased. We had an overall great experience with Roto-Rooter and would recommend their services. Thank you Roto-Rooter for satisfactory service. more

Excellent service ! 2/9/2012

I called Arlene and explained that I had a small flood in my basement, and she understood the urgency of my situtation. Within 30 minutes, I received a telephone call telling me when the plumber would arrive, which was within another 30 miniutes. The plumber, Mike, arrived promptly. Mike went right to work on the floor drain and unclogged it. He also suggested a maintenance product, and explained it so it didn't just sound like an add-on sale. I was very impressed by the level of service I received. more

This was the first time we had to call a plumber in Kansas City.Our technician Travis 3470 arrived right ontime and did an excellent job. The price was fair and we he also told us about the online coupon. We would use Roto-Rooter again if needed. more

Fast Service, good job 1/7/2012

It has been a while since we had Roto Rooter to our home in Kansas city, and the charge has doubled. I don't believe it is roto-rooters fault, just inflation. It's been a long time. They were quick to arrive after we called, and the service we received was excellent. We would recommend to friends, and will call again the next time we need a plumber. more

Courteous and Thorough 1/7/2012

Service requests with Roto-Rooter are convenient to request either by phone or through the website and they are able to fulfill the service request very quickly without any additional fees! The main waste line to my house was blocked. Dwayne was quickly able to diagnose the cause of my problems and cleared the blocked trap quickly and provided me with recommendations to keep it clear in the future. At my request to have the sewer line scoped, Dwayne was able to have a tech, Dean, there before his service was complete. Both Dwayne and Dean were incredibly courteous, thorough and efficient! I was very pleased and will definitely recommend Roto-Rooter (specifically Dwayne and Dean)! The fee charged for both services was very reasonable and if you check online, coupons are often available. more

Michael who handled my service request was professional and personable. He explained in detail what needed to be done, made some suggestions however didn't push me into any extra services I chose not to have. Very efficient in his work, and conscious of ensuring a mess was not made, even though we were in the basement. I will call them again should additional service be needed. more

The plumber who came from Kansas City to unclog my kitchen sink did a great job. When I called and described the problem, the woman who answered the phone took all the name and address information and then repeated it back correctly! This doesn't happen very often, so things were already off to a good start. The man who came to the house was very nice, and made sure he had completely taken care of the problem, then advised me how to keep it from happening again. It's been almost a week since he unclogged the drain, and I'm still enjoying being able to pour water into one side of the sink without seeing it come up in the other side. more

Roto-Rooters Plumbers December 20, 2011 12/20/2011

So on Sunday evening our kitchen drain stopped up. We spent some some Sunday night and all night Monday trying to unclog it ourselves using various products and snaking the drain with our small snake to no avail. We finally let our fingers do the walking through the yellow pages and decided to call Roto-Rooter. We were skeptical because most service industry businesses are a lot like Congress these days...We were pleasantly surprised when the gal said they could come out today - and we could find a $30 off coupon on their website which was awesome. Keith showed up at our door at about 1pm and he was such a great person. He was courteous, prompt, attentive and very friendly. He fixed the drain, cleaned up his stuff, wore booties on his shoes and too great care to do the job correctly and with efficiency. I was so very impressed. In fact, his name is on the magnet he gave me - and you can bet we'll call again if we ever need anything. more

Our sewer line runs down a neighbor's driveway passing a large tree, whose roots need moisture.\r We have had problems in the past which have been solved quickly and efficiently by R-R.\r This time was no exception.\r R-R advised us to do an annual cleanout.\r Will do. more

There are so many choices in Kansas City, but when looking for a plumber, I stuck with reputation. I had multiple services done, inluding a new toilet installation, 2 sink repairs and a drain maintenance in my basement. The plumber, Chris, was on time, efficient and explained everything. Such a relief to have so many things fixed, so well, in one day! more

Whenever we'd flush the toilet or run water in the house, it would start spitting up water out of our main line. We called Roto-Rooter and they sent a technician out that same day, offering a free diagnostic service. Our technician, Travis, immediately diagnosed the issue and offered several different ways on how he could fix it while still working with us on what we could afford. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and hard-working. He gladly answered any and all the questions we had and even mopped up the floor after he was done with his work! I would recommend him and his service to anyone. more
